I hired Texas Hardwood flooring to sand/refinish my floors, and to repair poor patch work that had previously been done in my kitchen. It was a tough experience that cost a lot of money and left us with a mediocre at best end product. I felt like the crew was constantly rushing to get the job done rather than taking their time to do it right. The old patchwork was not completely removed, we still have warped boards in the area. The sanding was not great, there are still rough spots throughout the house and areas that look like they have saw dust underneath the finish. The finish was not applied great. They knew I lived in a pier and beam house, but constantly blamed the condition of the house on the floors not curing properly. They came back several times to touch up the finish, but it still doesn't look right. Also, Brian was tough to work with, it was as if he over promised and under delivered and took his frustration out on me. He said we could move in shortly after the floors had been refinished. We waited almost two weeks just to be safe. But the finish had to still have been soft as it got scratched very easily rather quickly with just normal activities. I'd recommend spending a little more money and going with a more reputable company if you're looking to refinish your floors. read more

Texas Hardwood Flooring Installed approximately 1000 square feet of engineered hardwoods (Shaw Engineered White Oak - Ivy League) in our downstairs common areas, stairwell, and upstairs hallway. My husband and I recently closed on a home and decided to redo the floors prior to moving in. We did some online research and noticed that Texas Hardwood Flooring received positive reviews from prior customers. Bryan served as our primary contact for this project. He met us at the empty house to provide an estimate, discuss our flooring options, recommend a vendor for the actual wood, and determine a timeline for completion that worked around our painting contractors and their schedule. The price point was competitive with other contractors. Ultimately, we trusted Bryan the most and believed his company would do a great job. We were correct. The project started on time, and the crew worked diligently to complete all work within the estimated time frame. They demolished the old floors, leveled the floor using concrete, and installed the new hardwoods. Bryan was generally available via phone or text message to answer all of our questions. The floors look beautiful. They also installed new baseboards along with the hardwoods. Minor touch ups were scheduled and completed promptly. My husband has one criticism about a squeaking sound we now have near the middle of the stairs, but I do not mind it--I think the squeak gives the stairs a bit more character. We will likely rehire Texas Hardwood Flooring if/when we decide to update the flooring in our bedrooms. read more

Great flooring company! Jesse and his crew came into a mess of a project, as I had to fire the original company that started my floors. With the red oak install having only been half way completed, Texas Hardwood Flooring finished the install and scraped, stained and clear-coated all installed wood, including what the first company started. The workers showed up on time every day and Jesse stayed in constant contact with me to ensure I was 100% pleased with the work they were doing. When the job was completed, I noticed a few things that needed more attention, and the crew came back out to immediately address these items. I love the new floors and they look awesome. I really appreciate how Jesse and his crew took care of the floors that they installed as well as the sections the other company laid as well. I used these guys to refinish and stain an older floor. They were quick with bids and estimates and had good pricing. And the floor came out great. BUT, they didn't live up to their delivery promises to get the job done in 3 days. For some reason the actual crew wanted to do a quickie 1-day job but it just didn't produce the desired results and an area under fridge wasn't completed. Finally, a month later, they came back to finish and fix everything to my satisfaction. It just took too long. furniture moved twice, etc. Then, when it came to final payment, they sent me an invoice through their payment system and it wouldn't work. Worked fine the first time for the deposit, but it kept invalidating the invoice on the final payment. I offered to send a check but they didn't like that... So, final payment became a nightmare. Been awhile since I was able to write a review that was for a job well done. The flooring install was completed about six weeks ago, I had hardwood flooring installed approx 1400 plus and addition 22 stairs. Just wanted to shout out to Bryan and his team on a job well done. Couple small hiccups but just a fantastic job, they were very careful not to get hand prints on the walls, no oops where they hit the walls, very careful and the work was terrific. i would not hesitate to use them again and would recommended them to anybody... thanks for a job well done!!! read more
