I have been expressing concerns regarding Dr. Zidan and his office in general for over 2+ years now, but I kept gaslighting myself and brushing off my gut instincts telling me that something was really seriously wrong. I'VE LEARNED TO NEVER DO THIS, ESPECIALLY IN HEALTHCARE..... LESSON LEARNED THERE. I have been a patient of his for several years, since he joined Texas Pain Physicians and Dr. A went to open his own practice. I have previously had excellent experiences with him in the first few years and my pump placement gave me significant relief, but it ended horribly with a nasty infection causing the pump to erode through my abdomen..... meaning that I had a hole over where the pump was and pus coming out (you could see the pump through the hole in my abdomen!). I had to have an urgent pump explant and I was treated in the ER trying to avoid full-blown sepsis in the days before the explant surgery. It's been about 2 years ago and I still have flashbacks and intrusive memories about that whole experience, especially right before I was put under for the surgery. I'm currently working on my exit and I definitely don't feel safe having any more injections or procedures after everything I've read about what happened to that poor woman who was made a quadriplegic and nearly died because of ridiculous mistakes that were made. READ THE COURT DOCS, if you have it sent to your email address, you can read about everything that happened, including excess midazolam administered (they didn't notice she wasn't ok until she didn't wake up from it....and Dr. Zidan wasn't in the room when it happened, staff had to go get him and bring him back!), among other serious things that went horribly wrong! Regarding my pump erosion: I'm not sure if Dr. Zidan is at fault or not, but 5 months beforehand, I went in for a pump refill appointment and he took a syringe and pulled several CCs of pus-looking stuff from the top of my pump between my skin and pump where he needed to get the needle in for the refill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During this particular encounter, I could sense that he was very stressed out or something, and he kind of snapped at a staff member to "get her to the OR!", which frightened me, to be honest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then I was positioned on a table with a flouroscope and he was using the flouroscope to look at my pump, etc. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After he looked at my pump and the infected fluid, he snapped/yelled at a staff member named Eric, yelling "Give me the medicine! GIVE ME THE MEDICINE NOW!!!" and RIPPED the box out of Eric's hands which contained my pump medicine (borderline assault, and I was mere inches below his hands as this happened.....I was just frozen in fear)![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty more instances of him saying strange things to me and how I was "one of his babies" who needs anesthesia for all injections (for safety reasons, because I've had a seizure during a procedure while awake before at another clinic years ago).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm currently working on learning natural medicine and other disciplines of medicine, and I'm slowly but surely getting better. I have a plan to leave not only Dr. Zidan, but the vast majority of mainstream medicine (this is coming from someone who only wanted to work in medicine since I was 3 years old, so this is a very painful and traumatic awakening for me). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm DONE with being treated like I'm on an assembly line, and I'm DONE with everyone else treating me like a drug addict just because of constant severe intractable pain and my medically necessary medications, which are now too inadequate to make me functional enough to work outside of the home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since I've started studying about natural medicine and God's plants of the fields, I've discovered a legal, and a safest way to relieve almost all of my pain around the clock....and I'm currently actively looking for work because I can now function enough, although my muscles are weak from living out of a recliner chair for several years. As far as Dr. Zidan goes, I used to sing his praises. In fact, I've even had my 5-star review featured on their social media accounts before. I'm a published poet who even wrote a poem about how much he helped me at first (before the traumatic pump debacle). The trauma this has caused me will take a long time to heal, if not for the rest of my life. I have so much more to say, there's a LOT, but this is the shortest I could make this. This physician apparently participated in my husband's colonoscopy back in February. His billing department is totally inept and incompetent. I've tried three times to pay off a small $50 charge that wasn't covered by insurance, and so far I've had no luck. I'm a registered nurse and I deal with sickle cell anemia which is a blood disorder that causes chronic pain and chronic fatigue, whole body pains and aches and other medical issues! The doctors take forever sending in meds and it's very hard trying to get in touch with a medical assistant or nurse or the doctor himself! On my follow up appointment I didn't even see the doctor I only saw the Medical Assistant! This is absolutely ridiculous and they need to take better care of patients! I've been in the medical field 5-6 years now and I make sure my patients get taken care of and I go the extra mile but I guess everybody doesn't see it that way or does it my way! I went to the Texas Pain Physicians clinic in North Richland Hills. I had an appointment at 1:30 pm on 7/23/2024. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had been advised, via email, that I needed to arrive 30 minutes prior to my appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived early, sat in the lobby and was checked in about 1:15pm and my co-payment was charged[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I was taken into a room by a staff member and asked general medical questions which took approximately 15 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After I provided the general information requested, the staff member stated she would be talking to the doctor prior them coming in to see me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was now 1:30 pm. (the starting time for my appointment). The staff member left the room and at approximately 2:15 (45 min into my appointment) the doctor had still not come in to see me nor had anyone come in to check on me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I opened the door to the room and asked a staff member if I was going to be seen by a doctor. I was told the doctor was on a call[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I waited until after 2:30pm ( I had now been there 1.5 hours) and advised the same staff member that I needed to reschedule since the doctor never made an effort to let me know he was running late and the staff never made an effort to check in on me. I proceeded to the lobby and asked for a payment reversal. Once the co-payment was reversed I left the office. If I find a charge on my credit card, I will be sure to get legal help, file a complaint and will call all TV stations to conduct an investigation on this office. When I left there were approximately 10 people still waiting to the see a doctor. I have no idea how long they were waiting. It seems that in this office you are just a number. They are quick to take payment but leave you in the lobby for eternity. The funny part about it is that this office requires you to pay a fee for a no show. Well, who is going to pay me for my visit, my time and the fact that the doctor never showed up. I do not recommend going to the North Richland Hills office or any of their offices for that matter. Got the MRI ($600). The person (Dr?) didn't even show me the MRI pictures. She used a plastic model. The staff were unhelpful and did not speek English. Person (Dr?) who saw me looked and acted weird. Talked a million miles an hour. Assumed I knew everything she was talking about, and shut down all my questions asking for an explanation. I am a 74 year old Senior Citizen trying to live on a fixed income. I have been a patient at Texas Pain Management Physicians for several years now. I have become increasingly unhappy with the service and treatment of me as a patient. Dr. Zidan is the Physician that has been treating me for the last 3 to 4 years. I have not been particularly satisfied given the steady diet of steroid injections that I had been getting. My physician daughter strongly cautioned me about continuing down this path with Dr. Zidan. AS THE PATIENT I FOUND IT NECESSARY TO QUERRY HIM ABOUT ALTERNATIVE TREATMENTS. I RECOMMENDED TO HIM THAT WE LOOK AT A SPINAL CORD NERVE STIMULATOR IMPLANT WHICH I HAVE NOW. I begin to wonder about his competence given that he did not independently recommend the stimulator which has mediated my chronic lower back pain. He is the trained physician not me. How is it that he does not know the danger of overdoing it with steroid injections ?? Yesterday I went in for a scheduled steroid injection in my right shoulder that was recommended by Dr. Zidan. The office tried to fleece me for out of pocket payments for anesthesia for the injection. I had spent time on the phone with Santiago one week Prior to my scheduled procedure to make sure that there would be no issues with the September 18th appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Santiago assured me that everything was clear and set including having my procedure done at a medical/surgery center so that Anesthesia would be covered by my insurance (Medicare A, B and BCBS Plan F).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He assured me that all was properly in place. When I arrived for the procedure, the first thing that the receptionist did was to request a $150 out of pocket payment for anesthesia. I was livid in light of the obvious LIE that was told to me by Santiago. I have never, not one time paid the office out of pocket for anesthesia for a steroid injection. Additionally, EVERY TIME I go to the office they try to hit me up for a $25 missed appointment fee. I have not missed any scheduled appointments that I did not cancel in ample time. They LIE and they are incompetent and greedy in trying to steal money from their patients. From all of their reviews that I have read, my experience is pretty consistent with other patients. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL I CONTINUE WITH THEM. I ALSO ADVISE OTHERS WITH PAIN MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO AVOID TEXAS PAIN MANAGEMENT PHYSICIANS BY ALL MEANS. I've rated them one star only because zero wasn't an option. I had been using this practice for years, they weren't great, but they weren't the worst. I stuck with them because I didn't want to doc hop and look like a drug seeker. I followed all of their rules and did everything by the book. I've never had luck finding relief with injections, ablation, or surgery. I've managed with medication. My doctor left the practice and the other doctors took over. They told me I'd either HAVE TO have injections or they NO LONGER will prescribe for me. They gave me a 30 day supply and then told me to find another doctor. Before this rude and unprofessional treatment, they kept changing the rules they are supposed to abide by..... First they made me take a telephone appointment a week before my scheduled face-to-face and canceled the other appt. Then they said they could only rx 2 wks of meds by phone, and I'd need another phone consult in 2 wks. (milking me for every dime). Then they gave me a face-to-face only to cancel it without telling me. They also then told me I would have to have a phone consult and because it wasn't my fault, they'd rx 30 days. They can't keep their own story straight. I never did see their new doctor, they sure did get my money though, right before they kicked me out without sufficient notice. read more

This place is shockingly bad. I had to fill out forms and I received a barrage of messages including being threatened with penalties if I was late or did not show and on the day of my appointment Christopher Creighton was over an hour late and had a mouthful of food while he spoke to me. He recommended a treatment of shots and when I asked him for an explanation he told me to "ask Dr. Google". He told me he was going on vacation and that I would have to wait for treatment until he got back and he refused to write me a prescription for pain medication. He did say he would send over a prescription for a pain numbing cream but my pharmacy never received anything. He told me to schedule an appointment for the shots while I researched the procedure he recommended and started talking to his next patient without closing the door and I heard every detail of the medical needs of those two patients. The staff was eating their lunch and none of the four would stop long enough to help me. I walked out without planning to return and then I received a notification from my insurance company that Texas Pain Physicians had billed them $900.00 for tests that were never given to me. My repeated calls to the office were not returned. Today I drove to the office and they are closed with no sign or notice. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Amr Zidan for about 2 years now at the Waxahachie location. At first, I wasn't sure about him, but then we started to connect, I guess. Eventually after injections simply failed to work, we decided to try an intrathecal pump for my pain. That was the BEST decision I've ever made! It's taking a while to find my dose, but my Medtronic pump has given me my life back and I'm now working on compiling my poetry book for Kindle! I wasn't able to function at all before, so this is MAJOR! I don't know about all the negative reviews, but this clinic has helped both me and my husband enormously! They have given my autistic son his parents back! I hope I can stay here for as long as I have my pump... This practice is a disaster! I arrived 30 minutes early for a New Patient (12:40pm) appointment. I left at 14:45 after being left to sit in the waiting area with no explanation of what I had not been seen. I reluctantly rescheduled as I have not seen the doctor but the receptionist collected the $30.00 co-pay. I informed staff that this was very unprofessional and told them so in their patient portal. These people care nothing about patient care and want to enroll you into some pain management therapy. I was seeing the doctor for behavioral health not pain management.They have a bevy of foreign nationals that can't speak English and are very rude and arrogant. I wish I could give less than 1 star. Going to the Waxahachie location was a horrible experience. I was referred by my primary care doctor and went there to meet their doctor to see if they would be a good fit. I wasn't even an established patient, and they insisted I give a urine sample. They didn't create any kind of chain of custody for the sample, or seal it in any way, they just had me set it in a box with 10 or more other samples. That seemed very off to me- maybe they just want to bill everyone's insurance for a drug screen?!? I don't know, but they weren't even my prescribers. Next, when I was finally taken back to a room, the first words out of the mouth of the assistant were very aggressive, "We don't prescribe controlled substances." I had looked online before the appointment to see if the doctor I was seeing had any malpractice suits against him, or any other claims, and looked at the prescriber check up site to see what they primarily prescribe Medicare patients (https://projects.propublica.org/checkup/) so I knew they *do* prescribe pain medication. Why lie about it?!? I thanked them for their time, and left, and told my referring doctor. --If you are ok with being bullied and lied to, this practice might be fine. --If you are a patient that could benefit from expensive injections, they might be fine. --If you have any kind of ongoing pain that has been best treated by pain medicine, take your business elsewhere and find a doctor with some compassion and a better attitude towards their patients. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff and office manager at Dr Amr Zidans office are terrible. They canceled my procedure twice, and when I called to schedule it again they told me if I didn't show this time I would be discharged as a patient. When the dr is the one who didn't show up to my scheduled appointments!!!! Also the nurse practitioner at this clinic knows nothing about patients with migraines. She told me to take an aleeve if I was in a bad migraine that wouldn't go away. This is completely OFFENSIVE to anyone suffering from CHRONIC migraines!!!!! I wouldn't be coming for injections if an aleeve took my migraine away. I asked not to have to see someone who doesn't understand migraines and was also penalized for this. If you get Covid they will not work with you. They will make your struggle with Covid much harder that it already is. I was in the hospital multiple times struggling with Covid and Dr Amir and his office made an already difficult experience even more stressful. They told me I needed to come in despite knowing I had Covid and talking down to me saying i need to quarantine for two weeks,I know that. It is like playing telephone with relaying what he said to me and what his nurses are saying to me. I tell them what he said so they go out and talk with him and come back to tell me what he meant...can we all talk like grown ups please in the same room. They are very unprofessional talking about other patients loudly (or thin walls/ open doors) where you can hear the medical history . They push shots and expensive test to run up the bill. read more

While I really like Dr Zulquarnan, the support staff is unable to accomplish anything and seem like they have no idea what is happening. I originally saw this doctor in the middle of October and he recommended an MRI. I haven't been able to get this done because the order hasn't been sent to any facility. During my recheck, Dr Zulquarnan was surprised it hadn't been done. He went to see why and eventually returned saying there was some question about my insurance pre-approval but their look into it that day. Cool, no problem. I called and messaged and the staff said there were no orders for an MRI. The next visit, still no MRI. He writes me an MRI order, and I call/ message again to verify that I have to set the MRI up myself. The support staff are clueless and never get back to me, AGAIN. I request that the MRI be called in, they act like the doctor has never talked to be about an MRI. I'm very frustrated by now and tell the man I'm talking with I need some sort of update by morning. Nothing. I call midday and say I need this done. Again clueless. No one returns my call as promised. I'm giving this place until noon and then leaving the practice. Such a shame with such a nice doctor that is willing to listen and help, but when the rest of the staff is incompetent, you can only go so far. EDIT: I finally had my MRI and went in for results. I saw the PA, which I was not expecting. It did not go well. She told me my MRI was fine and that I just needed to lose weight. When I told her I was working with my regular doctor about my weight and that I was as active as I could be without causing more pain, she told me to eat less. Amazing. I was very upset. I got a copy of my results and read over them in my car.... it stated I had a narrowed vertebrae and bulging disc. I'm never coming here again. read more

Saw Dr Rasheed in Pearland for three years. Had no problems. In November 2019 had health problems unrelated to the pain situation. I was in hospital most of the next four months. When at home finally I had medication because I had not had pain meds in the four months. I called Dr Rasheed for an appointment in October 2020. We hade a phone consult. She was supposed to call in a prescription for me. She did not. I called her office (and texted) for five days. I never received my prescription. I called to make another appointment. Was offered a phone appointment. What good is that when I need a prescription refilled? This is total BS. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Zidan for about 4 years, he has been a great support and very knowledgeable he listens and takes all the time needed to answer my questions about procedures he is suggesting. I trust his medical opinion/knowledge. He is aware I don't want to be on narcotics, and only use a few pills a month, so to manage the pain I get more frequent injections for complicated issues in my back and knee. Texas Pain Physicians took over my old clinic and I have been using them ever since, and it has been a real struggle. I read the other posts about no one answering phones or calling patients back....all very true. On one appointment they told me I no longer had insurance and forced me to pay for the entire visit. I assured them I had insurance and that someone had dropped the ball on their end, but they didn't want to look into it and fortunately my insurance contacted them and the issue was corrected. I see Doctor Rahman and have absolutely zero complaints. He is a great doctor. However, I've been getting knee injections in both knees since 2019. I was told from the beginning that my insurance was covering the entire cost, except for the copay. Now here in February 2021 I received a bill for $1k listing all of those previous injections. I contacted their billing department (the only department that picks up the phone) and was told there has been a glitch in the system and patients have not been receiving bills. Nice....well I have a glitch in my bank account and cannot pay any bills (I wish). Nope, I just paid it and will not be returning. To Dr. Rahman and Jamal, you two are great but I can't deal with this clinic any longer. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Amr Zidan for several years. When I first checked him out he seemed so knowledgeable and caring and accomplished. Now patients just don't exist. They tell you one thing and do something else. The follow through is non existent. It's not the first or even second time I've tried to call and leave messages because I feel horrible and I know something is very wrong but again...nothing. They just don't care about patients. This place is a joke. All they want to do is poke you and pry you tried to get you out of pain by numbing the nerves but the thing is they keep saying that they'll give you payment but they don't read more

I was very disappointed with this facility, nice place but they give you so littlle time to understand my condition. After having injections that did not relieve my pain ,asking to call me back takes weeks and then they tell you they will put in a perscription and they dont . I waited in pain for weeks. Highly do not recomend this place! Still looking for relief! read more
