First time using this company. Bret is knowledgeable, the service was timely and at a reasonable price. The installers were easy to work with and accommodating. They added more concrete at one end for the pool cover track, came out nice. After living with it for a few months we are happy with the finished product, seems high quality. Stains clean easily with a magic sponge. The surface is finished with a sealer and is a little more slippery than the concrete, but much more comfortable on the feet. Per Bret it requires resealing every 3 years. Even on hot days, the surface is much cooler than the old cool coat. Soon after the install we noticed some rain spots but they disappear after drying and they seem to be going away, doesn't seem to affect the surface. We will be doing some paint touch ups around the fiberglass (no fault of TPC) and adding an auto pool cover. Overall very happy with the look and function. This is the way to go for concrete overlay. read more

We had an old aggregate pebble pool deck. Looked terrible. I contacted Bret with Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing. He responded pretty quick and came out to give me an estimate. I was skeptical that our surface would ever look anything like the pictures he sent. It took a while to schedule as they're in heavy demand these days. We weren't in a hurry. I get a lot of people asking if I'm still happy with my pool deck resurfacing. Yes, I am! I would do it again! The picture below was taken today. Bret's team was here last month to do a reseal. The Texas sun is really hard on everything so maintenance every three years seems totally reasonable for an end-result that looks brand new. Reseal is a simple procedure, they moved everything, power washed, touched up faded areas, and sealed it. I was able to use the patio the next day. After we were referred by good friends of ours, we hired Bret and his crews to resurface a broken flagstone patio just before Christmas 2017. By and large, the work was great, especially on the concrete side. His concrete foreman was here super late one night, spraying the concrete with water to make sure it cured correctly. I felt bad for the guy, spending so much time here right before Christmas. The painting work was ok too, but left a little more to be desired. We noticed it didn't seem like the paint went all the way down on the edge of the patio. We contacted Bret in March 2018 and he said it looked like water had gotten under the seal, turning the paint white. He promised to send a paint crew out that week to take care of it. Nothing happened at that time, and we also noticed that paint had run down the edge of our porch, which was unpainted. We tried to contact Bret again off and on thru text and phone the last half of 2018, and again early this year. In March of this year, I sent some photos of what was going on, as well as a chipped section of our porch. He said they were super busy in the Spring, but he was going to try to get us scheduled with some other projects they were doing in the area. Again, nothing happened, and a follow up text sent a month ago has received no reply. I understand successful companies are busy companies, but c'mon, you have to take care of your existing customers. The lack of follow-through is disappointing. read more

This company resurfaced our patio floor with a Roman Stone pattern. Not sure of the person's name that did the work, but he did an outstanding job. He looked more like and artist working on a sculpture than simply someone resurfacing a concrete floor. Plus he and his assistant did the work at the same time that our house was being reroofed. They just completed a small job which tied our entryway, short sidewalk and small driveway extension together. Bret is very busy right now but we kept in touch (he's great in responding to texts). He had a short opening in his small jobs list. His process is great, his folks are very knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. The finished product looks exactly like flagstone. Each random stone is stained individually and they vary in color but when completed all tie together very nicely. He started on Tuesday & finished on Wednesday. Wonderful job of steam cleaning my pool decking, lueder stone and other stones. The deep mold stains embedded into lueder and other stones where cleaned and sealed. I was unable to remove the stains with my pressure washer. It all looks like new again. read more

Job: New Cement Overlay around Pool. Price was good. Result of Cement Overlay: OK, So-So. Result of my Wood Decks, Sports Court, Pool Bottom: All messed up. 2 Different Crews. #1 - The teams are independent subcontractors, so they have to negotiate between them and company. Not good. #2 - It is their "policy" to not remove any demo material (sand, gravel, grindings), but to use a leaf blower and blow it all into your other areas: house, windows sills, under deck, on sports court, under spa, in beds, in grass...EVERYWHERE but not removed! First subcontractor quit when I asked them not to blow, but to remove demo debris. They had to send a second subcontractor crew (2). #3 - They said they were going to remove the old surface and put new. Well, they were only willing to remove 15%, said rest is good enough. #4 - They got piles of wet cement in the pool. Clumps are still there stuck to pebble bottom. With the big Christmas cold windstorm coming in that day, I told them they should not come and attempt to work in 40mph cold winds. Subcontractor insisted he work (he needed the money). Winds created huge mess. #5 - Oil based sealer in the pool. Oil slicks floating all over the pool. They insisted I just turn on the pump! I had to use several rolls of paper towels myself to try to soak (took 2 days) it up and not let get into my equipment. #6 - Under-financed crews. They show up with a very old powerwasher beat to a pulp and does not work, no start cords,... The replacement powerwasher had a wheel broken and kept falling off, marking up wood decks. #7 Cleanup - Tore up my wood decks badly with powerwasher, trying to cleanup mess. #8 Edges - cut deep grooves and edges with saw, way too wider and deeper than existing, now all the leaves gather in them creating mess and future wood deck rot. #9 Painters without a tarp?!. The crew has no fabric or plastic tarps. I had to give them one. Mixing, color stains, sealer all splashing and dripping. read more

What a fantastic experience! I originally was considering having a flagstone overlay added to my back patio. I got a quote from a different company that made flagstone seem like an unattainable fantasy, due to the high cost. Fast forward 10 months later. I stumbled across an add with a coupon for Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing. I called, and Bret (the owner) came out promptly and gave me an estimate that was much more affordable than the flagstone quote I had received. I figured I'd go ahead and give it a try. Best! Decision! Ever! We had the overlay installed on our back patio, around the base of our wooden patio and pergola columns, and on our front patio and walkway. It looks so beautiful! Alberto came out and worked with me to find the perfect color scheme. Alberto is truly an artist... He created the exact look I was hoping for! The final product looks even better than real flagstone, in my opinion. The customer service is also top notch! Bret was super responsive to my many calls, texts and emails and was always available to answer my questions. If you're looking for flagstone, don't bother... Go with these guys instead. I called many places to resurface our swimming pool, in the middle of a pandemic. When I called the other companies I asked for a specific thing, while that thing isn't what I needed no one seemed to say anything until I reached Bret, who explained that he didn't do the thing I was asking for but described in detail without an ounce of sarcasm or superiority, just honest to goodness education in the process. I chose him on the spot, frankly I didn't care what the estimate was, I loved his knowledge and his ease in communicating it. He gave me several options for surfaces and highly recommended a final look I wasn't wild about because it would have been better in the long term. We were selling the house and were less interested in the long term, even though the price was the same, we wanted a specific look. He suggested it many times and I'm a believer in going with the gut of the people with experience, in the end we went with the final look he was suggesting as it would weather and age better and it looks outstanding. Our pool is such a wonderful refuge I love to just look at it. There was one tiny problem at the end and I sent a note to Bret and the problem was solved within a day. They are a great company i would recommend them to anyone looking to a pretty and not stupid expensive pool deck. In the picture they did the while decking not the stone work. Our backyard now looks amazing! We had a pool coat that was peeling off, which was next to the original concrete porch, which was next to a new slab for our fire pit. It looked crazy. It took three days from start to finish. Everything was done by hand by a group of guys that clearly have a lot of experience. They gave us lots of color & shape options. We love what we ended up with. The only hiccup was the very strong winds that day which blew dust into the pool. But they paid for a pool service to clean it out.
