PSF was the third company I met with, and after my initial visit with Sam, I knew I had found the right one. Sam took the time to listen to what I wanted, patiently answered every question, and never made me feel rushed. We discussed my vision for transitioning from tile to wood flooring, and he immediately put me at ease by explaining it wouldn't be a problem. Even after the visit, I had more questions, especially about floor preparation and the contract language. Having a construction attorney in the family tends to make you read every word! Sam continued to answer my questions and worked with me on the contract until I was completely comfortable moving forward. Even though paying 50% upfront was difficult, I felt confident I had chosen the right company. That confidence was rewarded on installation day. Tony and his crew were outstanding. I want to give a special shoutout to Tony and Johnny whose attention to detail was exceptional. It was obvious they take tremendous pride in their work, and it shows in every room. The staircase, in particular, is a work of art. Tony also noticed the original stair trim wouldn't match the new baseboards and suggested replacing it. That extra attention to detail made all the difference. The new trim, along with the beautifully caulked and painted baseboards, gave the entire project a truly finished look. Everyone who visits comments on how beautiful the floors are, but they also notice the quality of the workmanship. That's the highest compliment I can give. All seemed to go well initially the carpets were ordered and fitted, everything seemed fine. Then I started to get emails saying the invoice was outstanding and I was due money. This was a problem on so many levels but the main one was I did not pay for the carpets and could not go back to the person whose card was used to get proof of payment. What really annoyed me was the lack of remorse shown by the firm, no apologetic emails, just, you are due us money , pay now threats. When I asked the perpetrator of the emails to escalate the matter I got push back! Eventually the matter was escalated and after some email exchanges things went quiet for a few months, I wrongly assumed that Flooring Warehouse has resolved the matter internally or used common sense not to pursue the sum outstanding ..... then threats started again, this time of legal action. Talking to other business owners they said they would have owned the mistake and written off the sum outstanding (50% was paid upfront). Not with this lot, they seem to have little regard for their reputation or the inconvenience and stress caused to the buyer as a result of their own incompetence. Buyer beware, use someone who values their clients and puts the customer above their bottom line. The customer, after all, is always right.

Bob is very responsive to messages which I appreciate but this was a job at an unoccupied home (belonging to my parents) with a hidden key so I did want more updates (especially with my folks constantly asking me). I did not receive notification of job start or finish. I had to reach out to get that. I didn't find out that the job was completed until the following day. I received an immediate reply to my messages which is nice but like I said, I'd have preferred more proactive communication. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. Ultimately, a pleasant experience and we're all happy with the results.

I didn't think of the baseboard situation as I don't do this for a living. There sales rep did not do enough due diligence guiding us through our vision. The wood floor itself is great and high quality but the rest was a nightmare. Don't have them do anything other than flooring - their light construction and painting is honestly incompetent and terrible. Lastly, new carpet for our family room. They upsold us a super plush pad then failed to write it up correctly. When I asked why the pad was not correct (after install) they acted like I'm a carpet pad expert and I ordered the blah blah blah 8 pound something or other. They were wrong, got it wrong, I opted not to PAY to fix it so I'll live with it, I guess. Overall, terrible experience but it could be the rep I got. Totally uncoordinated and a lack of communication for what we needed for this project. Very disappointed since we used Soleil as a referral from a friend.

After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

From the first meeting, he was professional and took the project seriously. He started with a drone photo overhead and created a design with our architect's plan. Travis worked with us to design a drought-tolerant landscape with a combination of astroturf and xeriscape, as well as limestone paver walkways with black granite and black steel edging to go with the aesthetics of our modern ranch. Our third party inspector noted that many landscape companies do not weld the steel edging to the stakes, but Travis's crew welded all of the connections and the steel seems thicker than what we had at our previous home. We chose Thrive because of other Google reviews combined with our interactions with Travis during the quote and design process. We found the same to be true as other reviewers, which was his crew was very positive, helpful, energetic, and some of the hardest workers on our project. They were the first to arrive in the morning, worked hard and fast all day, and stayed often until dark. We truly appreciated the hustle, and the quality and beauty of the finished product and would not hesitate recommending Thrive to anyone in need of landscape services.

After completion of my walkway, I can truly say that I am delighted. My journey to this point began with a tired 30yo concrete entryway, with a section by the front door that was delaminating. After determining that the issue was cosmetic and not structural, I looked for a solution. I knew that a patch job would look even worse right at the visual entry to my home, so I began to search for alternatives. I had heard of concrete coatings but knew little. I called and got some information and estimates from a few companies. The larger companies were very organized, but all wanted big jobs; moreover, most of the offerings were either utilitarian-looking or crazy-expensive. Be aware, this process is not cheap. But only TPCR offered truly artistic looks with a price that I could live with. As others have mentioned, dealing with Bret may require that you put in a little extra effort. Like most companies run by one man, he stays stretched pretty thin. He does try hard; even working with me while he was recovering from surgery. But in return for your patience, you are dealing with one person who can offer flexible options and will not try to pass on blame to others; Bret will do his best to take care of you. And the work crew were even more caring. Not being familiar with the process, I must say that the installation is an amazing combination of craft and art. I chose to get a Flag Stone pattern that fit with other stone work around my house. Starting with repairing the delamination problem, then laying the base, carving out a real stone look, adding complex and subtle coloration, complementing with faux grouting, all the way through adding a sealant - - I was shown ever option for every step, and was asked for my approval prior to proceeding to each next step. And when I did have suggestions for change, my comments were actually gladly welcomed and completed. I never once thought that they had any goal other than my complete satisfaction; almost unheard of these days! read more

Update #1: Bret emailed us after this review and was very honest and "owned" the mistake of losing track of us in his emails. He said he would send someone over tomorrow to power wash and seal the deck. Since we want to give him another chance we agreed and also asked him to give us an estimate on some mastic work which he said he would do later on in the week. We appreciated his sincerity and honesty and look forward to working with him again. I'll re-post after all the work is completed. Update #2: Bret's guys finished all the work (power washing, sealing and mastic) we wanted within a week. We were very pleased with the work, the professionalism, the turnaround and his follow-up. At this time, I'm changing my rating to a 5. He made a mistake, he owned it and stepped up quickly to resolve it and make sure we were happy. He also said he would be in contact again in the future to remind us and see if we need a re-seal. We can't ask for anymore so please don't hesitate to use Bret and come see our beautiful deck anytime! We had Bret's guys re-finish our pool deck summer 2016. Bret was a good salesman and the guys finished product was beautiful (getting there was a little troublesome because the guys needed a babysitter, but Bret did take care of all the damages to our satisfaction) however, once your done and they have your money, you are on your own for future refinishing. Even though Bret reassured us it won't need refinishing every year, if your deck gets direct sun, trust me, it will need to be refinished if you want to keep the coloring. We've tried to get in contact with Bret since the spring to refinish it with no luck. We even allowed the company to use us as a reference if anyone in the area wants to come see our decking! At this point, we will have to get someone else to refinish it or our $10K worth of work will be worthless since it will have no color left. Proceed in working with him with caution because what he tells you up front will not happen. read more

Bret was quick with his estimate and beat all the competion. I was very worried because my husband is a contractor and is extremely picky. We have NEVER hired a contractor that my husband has approved or been happy with. These guys are the BEST we have ever hired for any work to be done. Alberto the foreman was awesome. I could not believe how wonderful the whole experience was. We had about 900 sq ft of patio and decking around our 1980's pool that had old kool deck that was peeling and cracked. My pool looks AMAZING and my family is loving it already. The guys just finished last week and they were so professional and artistic. It was like watching an artist at work! I can not STRESS HOW WONDERFUL it looks. We were going to sale our place and now it looks so amazing that we are thinking of not moving. The backyard looks like a peaceful oasis and now the patio and pool has added so much value. I never write reviews on anyone because I have never had such an outstanding contractor or a positive opinion of a company. They exceeded our expectations and were lower on cost than the competion. Just like some others on these reviews, we got bids and interacted with 4 different contractors and Bret was the last bid but we knew almost just from his website and phone interaction we were most likely going to go with him. We have owned 7 diff homes over 40 yrs and this is one of the best experiences with a contracted home project. From start to finish it was a super experience - excellent communication, a hard working, professional and very talented crew headed up by Alberto and a fantastic end result! The transformation from the stained floor we had on our back porch to the overlay was amazing and all of our neighbors and friends who have seen it say the same thing. Three other of our neighbors also had work done by Bret and Texas Premier Coating after seeing ours. His pricing is fair for the high quality coating work he does. You have a chance to pick the color and look you want and there are many choices. Needless to say we are 100% satisfied with the work by Bret and his crew and highly recommend Texas Premier Coating to make your property beautiful and more valuable. I contacted 3 vendors for a concrete repair / resurfacing project late one Friday evening. Two contacted me on Saturday, one of them being Bret at Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing. He came out that same day and measured and talked with me about what I wanted. (The other contractor could not do an estimate for two more weeks!) Monday I had an offer that seemed really reasonable and by Tuesday we had a deal. Work started on the date that Brett said it would. His crew was very professional, on time, and hard working all day. Giovanni was the lead - and he was great to work with. I am extremely pleased with the final product and highly recommend them for your project. Oh, and by the way, contractor #3 contacted me a week after my request and did come that day, but his bid was double the price of Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing and offered no warranty. (Brett discussed his warranty on day 1.) It was great to get confirmation that I had made a good decision going with Bret and Texas Premier Coat Resurfacing! read more

After a wonderful experience with Bret and his staff in resurfacing our pool deck, we were compelled to write our very first Yelp review. Our pool decking flagstone surface began coming up a few years after we built our house in 2009, we began searching for a reliable and honest company that demonstrated quality work to resurface. We were frankly blown away because after resurfacing our deck a few years ago, the decking began to crack in places. Bret came out to inspect and agreed that the decking needed to be ground all the way down to the original concrete and resurfaced again. He sent his team back out and after 6 full days of work AT NO CHARGE TO US, we now have a beautiful pool deck that is PERFECT! Premier has provided services twice over a 4-year span so this is my second time rating the company. The first project in 2021 was a coating of our pool deck and most recently they put a topcoat on a new concrete patio. As mentioned in my earlier review (below, under Matt J.) we are super pleased with the outcome from both projects. It's beautiful, durable and we receive tons of compliments from friends and neighbors. We had Texas Premier Coat do an overlay on our new pool deck and existing patio surface. They were great to work with from start to finish. Bret helped us with pricing, sample patterns, and overall process. The field guys led by Sergio helped us select the right pattern, sizing, and layout. Once the overlay was complete they worked closely with us to custom pick the colors and shading. We now have a one of a kind deck that highlights our pool and patio. I used Texas Premiere Coat for resurfacing the concrete around my pool as well as enlarging our patio area. They poured new concrete, sanded and prepped old patio and lastly put a flagstone overlay. I had 3 other quotes and surprisingly they were the least expensive. They did a GREAT job. Very easy to work with. Took 4-5 days from start to finish. No complaints here. Our pool had been your basic white plaster surface but over time had become discolored and was delaminating in places and looked rough. Not only that, its condition made it difficult to maintain. Kyle, our primary point of contact for the project, was a real pleasure to work with. Whenever you start a project like this, you want to know that you can trust and have confidence in management and the skilled trades people who actually do the work. Fortunately, the Paradise Pool team is very experienced with one of the leads having almost 30 years experience. Instead of plaster, we decided to go with a tahoe blue quartz surface which is more durable. The first step was for the prep team to ready the surface by chiseling off the plaster down to the concrete as needed. Much to my surprise, they discovered that water had been getting behind the plaster in some areas which resulted in large areas of plaster coming off. This process took two days and the team was very careful to remove and haul out the debris leaving behind a clean deck area. The next step was for the finishing team to apply the new quartz surface. They too were very careful to protect our wooden deck on 3 sides and the cool deck surface on the other side by taping off the entire perimeter of the pool. The whole finishing process is pretty amazing. The Paradise team worked quickly and efficiently with each team member performing specific tasks. The new blue surface came out flawless and is really striking. If a new pool surface is in your future, I highly recommend Paradise Pool Plastering. Their team and finished product is excellent. Alex was very responsive throughout the planning and execution process, and even oversaw the entire installation. His crew were dedicated and skilled workers who were very kind. Scope of the project included covering an existing concrete slab. Alex made sure to add 3-4 inch rebar dowels every 24 inches and wire mesh to give the new layer something finer to hold on to, in addition to the binding agent for a more firm fusion. We also paid extra for the 3,500 PSI rated concrete given the Texas heat. Further, he extended the sides of our driveway, replacing the paver stone and gravel with level concrete. This also included fixing part of the walkway that had been pushed up by Live Oak roots, which was a tripping hazard, and now forming a smooth transition. Alex was also great when it came to pricing. He was very transparent, and me not being a concrete guy, asked a good friend who's been a general contractor for 30+ years to review the proposal and methods, and follow the work, all of which he said was done expertly.
