Gene and his team were phenomenal! We had a fairly large two tier patio installed in our backyard. They were extremely professional and delivered on every commitment made. Not only are we really happy with the end product, the process of working with Gene and his team during the design phase was fantastic. They were very flexible and patient when it came to hearing out design ideas and also incorporating changes along the way. They had a great attention to detail. For example they installed under ground pipes to account for the grade and possible drainage issues we would have had if they had just come in and dropped in the concrete. They also took in to account future irrigation and lighting installs and made the appropriate design mods to allow of access. Honesty, Integrity, High-Quality are my first thoughts of Patterned Concrete. The team (led by Dan) did an amazing job. Highly professional, Dan came by our home and gave a reasonable estimate. The companies references were superb similar to the other posts here. We set a date and the team started on time and worked incredibly hard throughout the process. We had a few hiccups with some of the sub-contractors, but Dan and his team were the only source of stability and consistency throughout the process. It was very refreshing, since most homeowners nightmare is that projects remain unfinished. The final product by Patterned Concrete is awesome. We are so happy we went with them. The entire Patterned Concrete team was awesome from start to finish. I highly recommend their services. We called them back for a second job within a month of completing the first. The first phase was a new backyard patio with a Rio Frio pattern. The border had lots of curves to deal with. The two tone colors turned out beautiful, and no puddles! Also in the first phase was a new front sidewalk with a circular outline. Everything was strengthened with rebar and drilled into the existing foundation. I'll never have shifting. The second phase was replacing our pool deck and coping. The team worked with me to remove two existing drains by re-grading carefully. Again, no puddles. Without the drains, there is nowhere for the mosquitos to hide. This second deck matched perfectly with the first. We then had our pool re-plastered by a different company. They did a beautiful job, but left some mess on the new deck. Charles and his Patterned Concrete team came out and made it right. We are enjoying our new deck everyday. read more

The definition of being an adult is when you actually sit around at night with your friends having a few beers and discussing getting your patio redone. Ever seen those commercials that talk about without fantasy football what would friends talk about well it felt like one of those moments. I had some friends over during the summer and I was talking about redoing our patio and one of them recommended these guys. I had not heard of them before but I had heard of other companies doing this type of work and being that I am lazy and did not want to do much more research I went with their recommendation and boy am I glad I did. When Dan came out my number one concern was that I didn't know a lot about this type of work and I did not want to get taken to the cleaners or pressured into a bigger job that I originally wanted. So as we began discussing what I was looking for, which was just a larger concrete patio that would help mitigate the slope that started just beyond my current pad, he was very understanding that while there were nicer design options available I was looking for a simple solution. We did make some modifications to help with color matching to the brick on my home. I remember telling my girlfriend after he left that if the work went as smoothly as that visit we would have nothing to worry about. Dan's crew came out and handled the job quickly and professionally. No complaints from me or more importantly my neighbors about the work crew. While my job was a seemingly small job compared to some of the photos on here I was very happy with the way they handled the job. They were there on-time every day that I noticed and actually finished the project a couple of days ahead of schedule. While I did not do any quoting of other businesses the price seemed reasonable and all things considered with the friendliness of Dan and his crew, their ability to meet the schedule that they promised, and the whole project went off without a hitch I am more than happy with these guys. We added an extension to our patio, in addition to having it stamped and stained. We also had the existing slab of patio stamped and stained to match the new addition. Dan and his team went above and beyond, even before the work started. They took additional steps (and time) to help us complete paperwork to have this work financed through the VA Land Board. That, in itself, speaks very highly of Dan and his team. The majority of the work was done while we were out of town, and after having met Dan, we had no reservations of them coming in to complete the work without us being there to oversee. Reasonable estimate, work was completed within the timeline given and the results were better than we expected. The quality of the work was above and beyond what we had in mind. This review is for the Patterned Concrete Ontario franshise. I wish there were negative stars I could assign to this franshise (Joe Guida, franshise owner). I paid at least 25% more than other comparable companies for a simple driveway and walkway. I should have done my own independent research but Joe was referred to me by my contractor. I was told that the premium price would mean that I would never need maintenance. I have required serious repairs every year for the past 3 years at over $1,000 each time. The service is poor and maintenace is not their priority. I have finally found another company who is highly rated and has repaired my driveway expertly for half the price. read more
