And that job lets me still run the roads sometimes and the best part is all the little towns I go thru. This time I was passing thru Pleasanton, Tx. And lunch time. A quick search of Yelp and I was pulling in the parking lot of Cafe Chris. A chic name for a good small town restaurant. A lot of reviews mentioned the chicken fried steak and I haven't had one in a long time. So I went with the CFS sandwich thinking it would be smaller, as I'd already seen a few delivered to tables. So I was wrong. The sandwich has the same CFS just on Texas toast. First it's huge. Second it's not all breading. There's a lot of meat under that fried layer of batter. I immediately got a to-go box. Dinner for later. It was an awesome meal. Got some cream gravy for a little dipping sauce. And the dinner later was oh so good. Can't wait until the next trip thru.
