How frustrating to deal with this scammy organization. Super unfortunate because we LOVE the doctors. However, we asked ahead of time and were told they were in network. Months later we are receiving bills saying they are not covered due to being out of network. It is impossible to get anyone to contact us to remedy the situation. I have been calling, messaging, waiting on hold in chat, doing everything possible. They say they will contact within 24hrs but this is a lie. They never contact us back. TRA has good radiologists, but their billing office is terrible! I was recently referred to TRI by my doctor. I filled out all the usual paperwork and presented my insurance card on check-in. Then I get a text to their patient portal to "pay the amount due" for the procedure. I was surprised when I saw the amount because I knew my insurance would cover it. When I tried to edit the insurance information on the form (a different carrier, member number, etc.) it kept giving me an error message. I called the number to speak to a live agent, explained the issue and gave him the correct insurance information. He assured me that TRA would submit the claim to my carrier. Two weeks later I get the same text, the same wrong information. Again I called, same result. I just got a third text today. Again I it wouldn't let me edit the insurance information! They better get this straightened out before I bring in an attorney!! read more

It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. I have waited on hold for hours over multiple attempts. They give a call back option but no one ever calls. They send a bill for the entire amount but have not filed with insurance. They will only give the option to pay the entire amount. The care I received was excellent, but their billing process is a nightmare. For over four months, I never received an actual bill. Instead, they sent vague text messages demanding payment--messages that looked like scams, providing no details about what the charges were for. Naturally, I blocked them, assuming they were fraudulent. To my surprise, those texts were the only method they used to send bills. When I realized I hadn't received a proper bill, I reached out to them myself. That's when I discovered their sketchy billing system. I submitted the bill to my insurance and had it paid, only to later find out they still sent it to collections. I have been dealing with this organization for several years. My mother's care goes through the main Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Plano. Texas Radiology Associates is the group with which BSW is contracted to provide radiology reading services. As such, any time you have a XRay, Ultrasound, CT Scan, or MRI done at BSW Medical Center, TRA is engaged to provide the radiology read, and you (the patient) are now responsible for their services. You cannot select another radiology service. Going back to 2021, every single time my mother has had a scan, TRA has attempted to bill us for the full amount of the scan, with no adjustment or payment from insurance. Every time, they "submit" the claim to insurance, but inevitably they submit it to Mom's secondary insurance first, and Medicare second. As such (inevitably) both Medicare and BCBS decline payment BECAUSE THEY WERE BILLED IN THE WRONG ORDER. 6 months after care, we get a bill from TRA, I invariably have to call them directly, they apologize and rebill to the proper locations. I could forgive this error once or twice, but this has happened about 10 times in the last 3 years. I've advised them of the error repeatedly, and they have not fixed Mom's account. They claim the hospital is telling them the incorrect order, but I've confirmed with registration every time that they have the insurance in the right order, and that it is being reported to sub-providers in the correct order. I'm fed up with dealing with this because it feels like a deliberate attempt to prevent lower insurance payments or adjustments to the bill and make the patient pay for the whole thing. If I had any choice other than to use their services, I would do so. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Received services from this company during my stay at the hospital for appendicitis and got a bill after. I paid it, but they sent me to collections. No big deal, probably an accident - called the collections agency to get it taken care of. A month later I am still getting calls from the collections agency saying that they cannot confer with TRA that my bill has been paid, despite my online account showing $0. I have tried calling TRA to get this sorted out multiple times and getting ahold of anyone there is proving impossible. They do not answer at all on the phone number provided on billing [972-474-8974] and the alternate phone number [(972) 867-7862] for this business loops back to the billing phone number! Expect to call first thing when they open, be on hold for the day and then disconnect at end of day! Ridiculous! They have insurance on our bill that we don't know where they got the policy number from, it isn't ours or active insurance. Received notice that an overdue bill was going to go to collection agency. I called them immediately and reaching them was impossible. Fifty percent of their voicemail prompts do not work and I was left on hold forever (on hold as I write this). Examples of failed prompts: Press 1 to schedule a callback - no response from their system Press 0 to speak with an agent - no response from their system Not sure what I'll do next, but I wanted to post this while I continue to sit and wait on hold....... Unfortunately avoiding these crooks means you have to avoid the Baylor Scott and White system. Trying to pay a bill from an ER visit and their "bill pay" site never lets you pay. Calling the posted number gives you a "thank you for calling Texas Radiology" greeting, then hangs up. Then these morons sent us to collection on a $16 bill without any additional warnings. And we've been trying for weeks to pay. Will be calling the BSW Admin office to report these clowns. read more

As I can see by other reviews I have a common on-going problem with this provider. I have tried numerous times to contact a person, left numerous messages and have not received any call or feedback from the billing department. My insurance called them numerous times and could not get anyone to respond. I emailed and called as well but could not get anyone to reply. Update on a review posted in 9/30/2022: It is now 12/9/2022 and I just received ANOTHER piece of mail from CMRE, saying they've reviewed my dispute with TX Radiology and the debt is still valid. Ummm excuse me? I called on 9/30/2022 and was told they would pull my account from CMRE. My mammogram was 3/18/2022. INSURANCE PAID FOR THAT SERVICE ON 4/6/2022 and it cleared electronically on 4/11/2022!!!! TX Radiology got paid LESS THAN A MONTH later!!!!!! So not only have I had to deal with this since March at this point, I have now had collectors after me since September. I have never once been late on a bill in my entire life. There is absolutely NO reason that my account should have been turned into a collections agency. The bill was PAID. It was YOUR office staff that put my husband's name as the patient and tried to RERUN the claim after it was paid under my name! I called numerous times to clear this up, each time being told it was taken care of in the system. This is clearly a way they run their business. Look at these reviews and BBB, which I just left a review on as well. I am not the only one. Why are you trying to get more money from my insurance company by changing the patient name to my husband and rerunning the claim months later????? Why are you sending PAID BILLS to CMRE to be collected? Are you getting a kickback of some sort? Following a surgery, I utilized Texas Radiology Associates. Nineteen months later, they sent me a letter that said I owed them money. I checked my insurance website and did not find any denial on the date of service. Trying to contact this company was a horrid experience. I sat on hold multiple times just to be told they would return my call. On one afternoon I called and sat on hold from 4:30 to 5:00pm. They close at 5:00pm and they just disconnected my call. When I finally got through, they were unhelpful and blamed my insurance company. The issue is still not resolved. Don't use these folks! read more

Horrible customer service when trying to discuss a bill. They do not answer phones and place you on hold for extended periods without answering. When scheduling a call back, THEY HUNG UP ON ME WHEN THEY CALLED 8 HOURS LATER AT CLOSING. I am now having to start all over again, and once again no call answered and having to reschedule a call back. Their patient folio only allows to to view bills or pay them. This review is actually information for all of the people who are currently frustrated with this company (as was I a few weeks ago). My doc ordered some tests and I received a bill for thousands of dollars. Since my insurance is pretty great, I knew this was an error. Before I had a chance to figure it out I got a call from CMRE (a collection agency) within a week of receiving the first bill. I was not happy, and I was told by the collection agency that NO insurance had been applied. Now I was pissed. I told the agent which insurance I had and she asked me for their phone # - wait, really? I told her to figure it out and fix it, the end. I tried to call CMRE a few days later for a status and had a really bad connection and was told their phones were down. The whole thing seemed super shady. I brought the bill to my next doctor's appointment and they told me to call Texas Radiology directly at (972) 867-7862. I called and left an angry voicemail and my call was returned promptly. I was told an error with their new system sent all bills straight to collections and I actually owed about $40. She apologized, took my payment and emailed me a receipt. 4 stars for handling it quickly, minus 1 star because the company should have been proactive in reaching out to patients after identifying this issue. If I could give zero stars I would. Their billing department sent me a bill that they claimed had been submitted to my insurance. Since my insurance had been paying a bulk of my costs for my hospital stay I thought it seemed weird that they were not covering any of my radiology costs. My rating is less than 1. I have the same complaint as most people. I was sent a text stating that I owed money for my yearly mammogram. I looked at their portal, and it shows that they have my insurance information. I checked with my insurance company and they have no record of it ever being filed with them. I am waiting on hold right now, but I doubt I will get through. How does Baylor, Scott, White allow this company to be affiliated with them? That tells you something about Baylor as well. You would think that if there are any issues with a provider... i.e. Texas Radiology Associates... they were intervene by stating they need to fix their system or they will no longer be involved in the Baylor network. If this bill goes on my credit, I will sue TRA. I wonder if there is an attorney who would accept a class action suit against them. They billed me even though my sons insurance covered everything. They had him under "baby Lauren" instead of his name so they sent me a bill instead of Medicaid. I've cleared it up several times! And still today I get a call from a collection agency! I've currently been on hold for 20 minutes trying to talk to someone. But will it matter? I've already cleared this up more than once over the past year! And now it's effecting my credit! I've worked hard to try to bring it up and even have paid a credit repair agency. This is ridiculous and I don't know what I can do Update: I talked to Medicaid and this company has never even sent a claim to them since we cleared everything up with my sons name on it instead of mine. Medicaid denied it because they had the wrong name and sex for my son. Had an abdomen x-ray December 12, 2021. June 10 **2023**!!! I received a bill from Texas Radiology Associates. My insurance may not pay the bill because it is coming so late. What is so frustrating is that these people just do not answer their phone. I was on hold for 4 hours yesterday and finally I was just disconnected. Same thing happened today. They have Live Chat in their patient portal. I've been waiting for an agent to connect for an hour. I have a very simple question but can't get anyone to answer it. Horrible Billing service. All bills have been paid on receipt, on time, and in full for every notification received. I even called on the phone to make sure all bills Attlee paid in full. Surprise! In December they send a bill for $3.22 to collections. To try to ruin the credit of an individual who has paid every bill on time over years of service all over $3.22 is shameful.
