First, when I stopped in shortly after the normal lunch hour, the restaurant was immaculate. All the tables were clean, it's uncrowded, there's lots of light. The lady running the restaurant was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't ask, but I think she's probably the owner. I ordered a brisket sandwich with baked beans as a side, and ordered an extra side of potato salad. When she brought the food to my table I immediately realized I was going to need take-home containers. The brisket sandwich comes with a half a pound of brisket, and it appeared to be every bit that much if not more. Both of the sizes were generous helpings. I have children who live in Nashville in Kansas City, and frequently eat barbecue when I visit those two cities. I think this brisket was as good as any I've had at those places. The potato salad was good. There was nothing too special about the baked beans, but they were also good. If you're missing your barbecue and wondered where to go in this area, Kaz's barbecue is definitely worth a stop.

I said no need for a number, we will wait inside in the corner. I'm told that's not an option and that we must leave. Standing in the corner where three unused tables is not permitted? Inviting us to wait at the bar and sell us three drinks (an easy additional $30+) isn't offered? Seems like a pretty bad way to run a business.
