Went to Texas Roadhouse on Union Deposit Road and made the mistake of ordering catfish at a steakhouse, rookie move on my part. It ended up overcooked and pretty hard to eat. I happened to come across this location because I was in the area for my sons baseball tournament. We were a party of nine. This was all of our first time coming to Texas Roadhouse. We did not have reservation but were seated right away besides it being crowded. For cocktails we ordered a Hurricane Margarita, Sangria Margarita, Mango Margarita. All the cocktails were served in a big glass. They all tasted delicious. Complimentary rolls are served. The rolls are delicious, warm, super soft and buttery. The cinnamon butter is delicious. A few of us ordered the Texas size combos Sirloin with grilled Shrimp. This dish was packed with flavor. My friend ordered the porter house. The steak melted in your mouth absolutely delicious. Grilled salmon was seared to perfection and seasoned very well. The porkchops were juicy. Everything we ordered and tried is delicious. Prices and portion size of the meals are great. I've never been to this restaurant before. I'm here in Harrisburg with my dad for the Mecum car auction and I desided to try it! So far it's really good and the bread and butter where excilant! I ate 1 and a half breads. Delicious. Absolutely would get on my fucking knees and beg for this bread if I was homeless and had nothing. For dinner I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes and corn. Even while you're waiting, there is a friendly atmosphere. Nadiya, our server, was attentive and provided the right amount of check-ins. My 12-ounce ribeye was cooked to perfection and smothered in onions. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a sweet potato, and the tossed salad with honey mustard dressing was delicious. And the homemade rolls with honey, cinnamon, and butter were so yummy. We made a pitstop here during a roadtrip since we have heard good things about Texas Roadhouse but have not had it ourselves. There was ample parking around and they had music playing in the parking lot as well. We went on a Thursday night and got seated right away with free fresh bread and a bag of peanuts. Server was very attentive and nice. They had $5 original margaritas and $5 Long Islands which were very value. The cactus blossom had a great presentation and was fried onion as you would expect. We also got the 'Roadkill' (chop steak) and a sirloin steak with rib combo. Great prices and great portion for everything. The mushroom and corn was a bit on the saltier side but everything else was great including the streak fries and chili. We loved the environment! We came here on a Friday night, but it wasn't as pack as I thought it would be. Either they are short staffed, or my waiter was just a bit rushing. We didn't even get a chance to sit down and look through the menu and immediately we were asked what drinks and appetizers to order. We took a short few seconds to browse and then turn around he told us he will come back cause he has other tables to serve too. All I feel throughout the night was being rushed and a friendly way of telling you what else do you want. At least he didn't say it with an attitude or give me a face. Food quality was alright. I believe the location nearby my house was better thought. The prime rib wasn't as juicy as the one I had at another location too. I eat here all the time now. It's a lot better than it was a few years ago where I've had food poisoning twice in a row due rancid grease from the grill. It's much cleaner now. Service is very efficient and the food is a good value. Drinks are a bit pricy and sweet with not much alcohol so stick to beer (still expensive and boring selection) unless you're in the mood to drink your dessert. The quality of the preparation can be hit-or-miss. Generally they get it right but the non-steak items are too salty. Overall, it's a convenient and cheaper option. It was super busy when I went, our server peaches was absolutely PHENOMENAL! she was quick, checked up on us frequently. I've been to a bunch of Texas Roadhouse locations but the experience we had at this one was probably the weirdest. We were quoted a 45-60 minute wait and were called back 10 minutes later. Which was nice! But we had left to do shopping so we had to hurry back. The person who brought us to our table didn't say a word or look at us the entire time. Our waitress was nice and kept making sure we were all good. The food is decent and surprisingly cheap. The cost of entrees at Texas Roadhouse is probably the best thing it has going for it. Their loaded baked potato has been a go-to every time I've ever gone - and it doesn't disappoint! The chicken fried sirloin and chicken fried chicken are pretty good, too. The doors still have the allergen warning for peanut dust but it seems they no longer offer peanuts, which is disappointing. When I travel for business, I always see if a Texas Roadhouse is near my hotel and thank goodness, this Texas Roadhouse was close to my Downtown Hilton. No rolls for me please, not that I don't like them, it's that I love them too much and when you add greatest butter ever invented, oh boy. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin, medium-rare, with mushrooms and cheese, and my two sides of chili, cheese, no onion, and I have to have a side of jalapeno. Texas Roadhouse Selected 3 20 oz Fort Worth Rib Eyes from the case 'Somthered' and were served by Malik the most unmotivated lackadaisical server ever put on Gods green earth. Now this was at 4:45 in the afternoon before the rush on a Friday mind you when the restaurant was not even 1/3 full. Other tables were served at light speed by happy attendants with smiles on their faces while we got grumpy who dragged themselves away from their phone. Used plates and glasses stacked up on our table never to be taken away. Finally the steaks arrived. We had always had good servers who had asked us to cut into our steaks and ensure they were cooked the way we had ordered them... not Malik.... left the table never to be seen until it was time to pack up and leave. We had a question about the bill but again Malik was no where to be seen. As good as the Fort Worth Rib Eyes were..... the service was BAD!!!! Decided to stop by the Texas Roadhouse for lunch, asked to sit in a booth in the bar area. There were some empty booths but we were told they are not available for 30 minutes. Of course in about 5 minutes other people were seated there. This the booth was lower to the ground which is easier for a handicap person. We asked for a manager, in the meantime I was asking our waitress if we could move to the other booth. The manager finally showed up with an attitude, asking do you want to speak to a manager or a waitress? She was very rude and unprofessional. I really don't think she was a manager. We had been coming here since they opened and were really disappointed in how they treat people here.
