We recently noticed all the trash thrown about the back of CC's because it was blowing into nearby businesses. $9 egg sandwich x2 = $18 for two egg sandwiches. Unreasonably high priced. I asked for salt and pepper and extra mayo. When I got to work I had to finish making my sandwiches. They put salt and pepper packets and mayonnaise packets in the bag, not on the sandwiches. I was very disappointed all-around and will never go back. There is something to be said for consistency. CC's is not gourmet by any stretch, but it's good, down home cooking at a good price. Consistent food...consistent service. I like that nothing changes. When it isn't broke, don't fix it. The ambiance isn't going to win any awards...but it's your typical hometown diner. It's our breakfast go to when the wife wants to grab some grub. read more

I was here on a Sunday early lunch . The place was very busy. Menu was normal dinner food. I was quickly waited on by more than one person. So my order was taken quickly and my order came out in great time . My meal came out hot. It better than average flavor. I have no complaints, This is not my favorite dinner .However overall I do recommend this place. I saw a few things coming out of the kitchen that now look better than previous visits. read more

The owners are very rude and they don't treat their employees with respect they leave cooked bacon out over night then put it back on the grill "to make it more crispy" is what the owner ash told me! We have been regular, weekly customers for several years. They painted the ladies restroom but never bothered to clean it. On the 12th of December 2024 I pulled aside our server and talk to her about how dirty the ladies restroom was. She told me that she would tell The management AGAIN about a customer complaint about the restroom. We had breakfast there today, 12.19.24, the restroom has not been cleaned. If the bathrooms look like that, how clean is the kitchen. Unfortunately they have lost our business. The owner is from Egypt but he needs to clean as we do here in the states. read more

Well, this is the newest diner in Mechanicsburg. It replaced West Main Diner. We were seated straight away and it filled up quick. I'll say "standard" diner menu. They have different soups daily and I tried the New England Clam. (It was tasty.) They also have daily specials. They have a lot of items that are marked with an S to mark a senior portion is available. Server/waitress seemed a bit confused or frazzled but did a good job at keeping things flowing. Hubby had fried fish that was HUGE! Mom had liver and onions and I had a crab cake. I'll go back in a few weeks and see how they are doing. I think things will be better after everyone gets into the flow. read more

Have been going since open. Prices are amazing for breakfast. I always receive the same quality and consistency with my order. Home fries are the par boiled and flat top grilled. Eggs are never cooked wrong and I've ordered them every way you can. French toast and pancakes are also up to par leaving no room to complain at all. Service is always amazing. Visited this place with my daughter on a Saturday morning in August. The place looked clean. The staff was very friendly and the service was solid. While my daughter enjoyed her Mickey Mouse pancakes with sausage, my breakfast burrito was a snooze fest. Not only was it mostly tortilla, the sautéed onions had no flavor and the bacon I asked for inside of it was non-existent. I dumped a bunch of Tabasco Sauce on it to make it more enjoyable. The side of potatoes were bland too. We will give it another try since it's right in town and hope for some tastier food. read more

We tried CC's Kitchen for breakfast. The old place had a musty scent that the new owners have managed to kill off. (1 star) The wait staff were very pleasant (1 star). Sausage links were tasty (1 star). The requested over-easy eggs were way overcooked. Home fries, ordered extra crispy, arrived under-cooked and cold. "Home made" creamed chipped beef was true to the old Army definition of SOS: Stone cold and tasteless; with a thick Elmer's Glue-like consistency. Some specks of dried beef had been scattered through-out. (Food: - 2 stars). There are simply too many other area breakfast choices to want to go back. read more

My fiance recommend this place besides it being not too far from the church. So we came in dining they did clean and follow the rules with social distancing too. It looked like a truck stop plan kinda of quant. It was a huge menu which kinda reminds me of something from kitchen nightmares that Gordon Ramsey critical on someone with a big menu. I saw chicken parmesan panini (which is a flatbread panini) with fries. My fiance a Philly burger which a mushroom and Swiss burger which he didn't like how the onions and he said the fries were over done but I like crunchy fries so I like it. At first I would have said the waitress was good but I don't like when she didn't refill after the first time and she gives us the check right away which to me is a sign of Get out! (Especially when they don't ask if you wanted dessert) which she did ask if we did want dessert They had a ok looking bake goods and I consider. But to me the damage is done. So I was back and forth with the star. Because lots of space due to covid-19. And you can hear the other coworkers talking including the cook yelling too I don't like to hear a coworker business sorry. So the food is good so it is worth a shot to try again. read more

I believe that there are new owners here. Went last night around 5:30 pm. Was somewhat busy. Waited at the entrance when after a few minutes someone came up and we asked for a booth. He handed us two menus and walked away. So much for being shown our table. From what we saw there was only one server actually on duty however there were at least 16-20 tables going. We were later told that a server called off but with a restaurant with the capacity for 30+ tables, two servers scheduled is not enough. It took about 10 minutes for our order to be taken however once taken, the food came out quickly. Sadly though, the quality has changed. The chili used to be our go to food. The recipe was changed and now it has little spice and taste. The chicken tenders also appear to be of a lower quality. Chicken and waffles were good, as was the side salad however the mashed potatoes, though they appeared to be homemade, had little to no seasoning. They've added a dessert case and the chocolate mouse cake was very good and a nice size piece. Just on our side of the restaurant we could see at least 6 tables that had dirty dishes the entire time we were there and not cleared and cleaned. That was about 45 minutes to an hour. No one wants to see dirty tables. Hopefully this ownership change was very recent and they will smooth out their service and quality issues. The two gentlemen there were both nice and made several trips around checking tables but they should have spent more time assisting the lone waitress and clearing tables along with learning how to run the front end and cash register. read more

Update- came back for lunch, had the bacon cheeseburger with fries, it was cooked perfectly and was very good, fries were nice and crispy. Only been here twice. First time when just moved to this area of PA before Covid hit. Wasn't too impressed but it is close by. Went last week again for breakfast as again, it's close. Looks nicer inside than I remember, brighter, & cleaner overall. Waitress was very nice and helpful too. The dish I ordered was a basic breakfast item and rather good. Nothing negative I can think of but nothing real special either. Good go to place for sure, bring around the corner. Happy don't have to drive far or wait for ever to be seated. The only negative things I can think of is the out side entrance area/parking lot isn't too appealing and whoever painted the walls last didn't paint all the way to the trim near booths( can see a jagged strip of the old bla Paint ). Kudos to the staff for working so hard and owner/managers who I'm sure had a rough time during the peek Covid epidemic last year keeping their business alive. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

This place is totally deceptive. From the exterior you'd never guess how big it is and from the unassuming signage you'd never guess how good their food is. My husband and I went for the 1st time yesterday. I ordered the special that day which was pork and sauerkraut. It came with soup or salad and two sides. I was not expecting the volume of food that I'd get for the price they charged. Value! The cream of potato soup I started with was phenomenal! The pork and sauerkraut were awesome! Especially the sauerkraut. Sometimes it's lacking the "sauer". Not here - it was so flavorful! And it came with mashed potatoes but they still said I got two sides so I ordered the fries (one of my favorite foods) to check them out and veggies. The fries were great! Super crispy on the outside and a good size - not too thin, not too thick. Veggies were okay - they were what I expected. We will definitely be returning and probably soon! Or ordering take away on a night I want some solid home cooked food but don't want to cook myself. read more

Ordered off Door dash and was disappointed .Out of 3 items, the meatloaf was the only standout. Unable to order side items didn't give the option. Substituted chicken breasts for chicken croquettes and charged more than menu prices. Breasts were so-so, not worth the price.Included 2 salads but no dressing, again site didn't give the option to order. No pickle with the burger either and burger overcooked. Went to CC's for the first time. Ordered Fish and Chips special for 15.00 or more and it was frozen Mrs. Pauls fish from the grocery store. Disgusting, I was born and raised in Mechanicsburg and will tell all my friends and family never to got here. RIP OFF!!!!!!! They provide a large variety of reasonably priced meals as well as daily specials. Our food was excellent, nice presentation and large servings. I gave it one star for the excellent waitress. I had the worse spaghetti - the sauce could not have been homemade. It was so thin it was at the bottom of the dish and the meatballs were definitely not homemade. They do not know how to make garlic toast - it was burned. The salad had lettuce with one tomato slice and a few onions. The host had his coat on and was constantly on his cell phone. A new waitress who look frightened was not getting any help from the owners and they were constantly on their cell phones. The outside does not have curb appeal- pots of dead flowers and a few small American flags half on the ground. I guess a show with a bad meal is what I got! read more

Had breakfast with a friend this morning. Waitress was very pleasant and kept our coffee filled up. We were dawdling with our order and she politely and pleasantly let us know there was a party of 20 coming in a few minutes later, so we put in our orders right away and received our food in a few minutes. We had the special-2 poached eggs, dry toast and extra crispy home fries-they were perfect and we left a generous tip and only spent $5.00! When I made reservations for 15 people I was promised the seating would be arranged and tables prepared. Our group was time restrained. When we arrived the staff had nothing prepared. This alone took 15 min. Not good. I can only speak for my order. It was the WORST Reuben sandwich I had ever ordered. The corn beef looked like a mini hamburger. CC's? More like feces...I ordered a chicken dish with no cheese, because of a specific allergy. I sent it back, the waitress was nice enough but the creepy chef was staring through the kitchen. I looked at my dish, and there was cheese still on it. He obviously just scraped the cheese off and sent it back out. In addition the entire restaurant was cold and drafty.
