I visited this location after a long work trip. I was starving and got there when they first opened. I ordered a 12oz ribeye with onions, baked potato, and a garden salad. Had a terrible experience today. While we were waiting, a waitress took away the chairs we were sitting on, without explanation, and in a way that felt rude and inconsiderate. This affected our experience. Also it was the second time since she rudely removed it first from my teenage kids and then proceeded to remove the chair my little ones were both sharing. As a single mother I already had a toddler sitting in my lap. No sympathy or care about waiting customers. There were more chairs of other customers but she just targeted me. Awful customer service! We ordered a to go order & waited 30 mins after the time order was promised. The attitude of the "manager" Josh was bad. He said there were other bigger orders ahead of us. This is by far the best Texas Roadhouse I've been to in almost a decade. Beats the DFW locations and East Texas spots easily. The steak had better flavor, the broccoli was actually seasoned, and the loaded mash potatoes were actually LOADED! The bartender was serving my booth and seemed a little annoyed when I first sat down, but her attitude changed significantly for the better. They had just finished their line dancing, so maybe that was it. I'd be annoyed too. The setting is the same as almost any other TRH. The layout is similar to the one in Pueblo, CO. read more

Great burger and boneless wings. The country fried sirloin is blah, since its not real, but prefrozen. The beer is really cold, but this is the only place that charges a dollar more for Shiner Bock because they say its a "craft beer". I dont know where these morons got that idea, but it costs the same as other beers at Longhorn and Logans. Also, we use to be able to walk into the bar area and take a seat without waiting. No more! The server was great got better as the evening went on. The food not good! The blooming onion was half cooked! Our steaks were way over cooked, the baked potatoes had hair in them, as did the rice that's served with the steak bites! The steamed vegetables were still raw.... This is a complaint against your manager Josh Chaves. My sister in law had arrived at the restaurant at 6:30pm. She spoke to Josh Chaves and informed him that she needed a table for 20 persons. I arrived there at 7:30pm. She told me that they were getting the table ready. At 7:46pm I asked her to ask about the table. She said that he told her that it was being prepared and even showed her what table it was. She told me that she was seeing other patrons coming in and were being offered tables and one of the tables that were being prepared for us. I asked her how long she had been waiting and said for an hour and 15 minutes. My other friend asked the manager what was taking so long and said that the manager told her that the 20 persons had to be present in order to get her the table. I have never heard anything like that in my entire life. Your manager seemed indifferent towards us and seemed to show no interest to accommodate us. Customer service is the number one priority in my books. I called another restaurant and asked if they had a table for 20 persons. The hostess saud yes and it would be ready in 5 minutes. I simply told everyone to go to the Palenque Grill on San Bernardo Ave. we arrived and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Yes I understand that it was packed to the gills that night. So was the Palenque Grill. There is nothing that can be undone about something that has been done. It's a shame that this happened because it left a sour taste in our mouths. Maybe I might return to the restaurant. I hope corrective action from corporate is taken to ensure this doesn't happen again. I won't be going back period even though I was a frequent patron. read more

Chicago to the ranch in Guanajuato, Mexico called for a day two rest in Laredo and steak. Our hotel concierge recommended the chain and we took his word for it. My dad's fillet minion and my porterhouse ribbed us the right way, especially with their free combo special which was skewered shrimp. The beer was cold, the veggie and mash potato sides sided well. We feasted, we rested and we enjoyed the loud atmosphere that was just right for the protein fest. Kali, our waitress, was patiently kind with my ear-piece-less dad who enjoyed every minute of our meat fest. Couldn't make it in on my drive back north 2 weeks later cause of our farm dog, Zache, I was bringing back to the big city. Meh. Not sure what the fuss is about. I called ahead and ordered to-go as I was staying at the motel a couple doors down. I got a half rack of ribs with shrimp, and my 2 sides were a loaded baked potato and a salad. They also included some rolls. I normally don't order ribs from restaurants because I dislike saucy BBQ sauce, and prefer mine to be caramelized (a tiny bit burnt), but since a picture of them on their menu showed them cooked just that way, I ordered them anyway. They were NOT cooked that way. They were indeed saucy BBQ sauced. The plus was that the BBQ sauce was pretty good - a teeny bit spicy - but would have been worlds better prepared the way I would have had them do it. They also would have been worlds better had they not been SO DRY. Only about half of them were edible. The other half were like rib jerky. Not kidding. The shrimp were very tasty and cooked perfectly. I wish I had just gotten a whole bunch of shrimp! The loaded baked potato probably would have been good if I'd eaten it right away. It came with garlic butter, sour cream, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was wrapped in foil and in the same container as the ribs. I thought it was wrapped well enough that it wouldn't be a problem, but when I went to eat it for breakfast the next morning, I found it totally soaked in the BBQ sauce that had leaked through. Blech. The salad was also pretty decent, though I had to put my own salad dressing on it. The bleu cheese I ordered it with (on the side, thankfully!) smelled SO DISGUSTING. It was very heavily buttermilk scented, along with the mold. Yum. The rolls that another reviewer raved about were odd. Very sweet, like Hawaiian bread. If you like sweet dinner rolls, I guess they were okay, but even the texture wasn't that great. Not sure why he was so excited about them. After tax and tip, I spent $25. I think that is a little steep for the quality of my food. If I were in the area, I would probably go back for the shrimp and loaded baked potato, but that's it. read more
