Tonight's dinner was good old Texas Roadhouse. A favorite in the family and my first review for here. Stephen was my server. Greeted in a timely manner. Was friendly and brought all my sauces before the food arrived with the drink! I started with a $7 patron margarita with salt and a kicker. Only kicker is the salt wasn't in the rim and was down the sides of the glass. Aside from that the Rita was good. My order was a 16 oz prime rib but they were out so i got a 12 with 2 sides of broccoli and horseradish. Steak was cooked to my liking. Medium rare. Broccoli is served aldente and kinda hard and on the "coolish" side. The place seemed clean. I was greeted by the hostess right away and was thanked as i left. Gabrielle was our server. She was very personable and attentive. The apps and food came out pretty quickly! It was a bit cold, so I would bring a cardigan nest time. I had never been to a Texas Roadhouse prior to moving here but I think I've made up for it . We've dropped in several times and it's always been a good experience. It's typically busy and loud but not overwhelmingly so. We've been lucky to have great servers each time. The food, mainly the sides, have varied from delicious to just ok. Unfortunately, it was so very disappointing. I got the grilled chicken. It lacked flavor. It had fat on it. They were small pieces of overcooked chicken. The mashed potatoes had lots of skin in them which I don't appreciate. I ordered fresh vegetables, broccoli, and carrots. The carrots were good and sweet, but the broccoli was turning. It was not quite green. There was a lot of yellow on it. The price was reasonable. There is no ambience. It's so loud. You just wanna get out of there. I won't be going back. First time trying Texas Roadhouse which is mainly known for their steaks and ribs. We visited on a Sunday for lunch and the wait-time was minimal - 10 mins. They have lots of seating options inside. Our server, Amanda, was amazing. Very attentive to our large group and she was SUPER fast at getting us anything we needed. Anytime we needed a refill, we didn't even have to ask. She was always paying attention to what we needed. Something I thought was a nice touch was that they provide the table a complimentary bag of salted and roasted peanuts along with a bucket to toss the scraps. The peanuts were so good it was hard to stop yourself from eating the whole bag! As an appetizer, we ordered the Cactus blossom which is fried onion with a Cajun sauce. It was super good! And filling. For a table of 6, it was awesome. They also provided complimentary bread for the table and I was on cloud 9! I'm a bread girl so we even had to order more bread because of how good it was. The butter had a touch of cinnamon which was unique. For the entree, I tried the Grilled Chicken Salad and it was great! It was a huge portion so I was able to take half of it home. It was super tasty and refreshing. My hubby ordered the filet medallions and he loved it. It came with a house salad as well and a loaded baked potato. He had no complaints with the cook of the meat and thoroughly enjoyed it. This is typical steakhouse, the food is always good I have been there many times. Compared to Longhorn it is louder and sometimes you can't hear the person across the table from you. With that being said the food is excellent and the steak is always solid. If you're going for a romantic thing I wouldn't go there, I pick somewhere else more quiet. But for friends and family is just great. They have a large menu offering all kinds of steaks and ribs. My husband loves their ribs and says that the best around. Even better than some of the rib places. The offer many sides and they're all good. Their salad is great and I love their Italian dressing. Their yeast rolls are great too. So as far as the food goes great and all the times I went there I only had my steak not cooked correct one time. On the way home from an impromptu road trip and we codling resist this rest stop and fill up the belly's. I used the app to be put on the wait list while I was shooing for some ammo close buy. Parked next door and checked in and were seated in less than 10 minutes. Our server Anthony was absolutely amazing. Went out for dinner last night for an early anniversary dinner with my husband. I've always been skeptical of TR because I've not had good experiences previously especially being gluten free. Last night our server Taylor was phenomenal and the food was delicious. There was never an empty drink on the table the second she noticed one was empty she was offering to bring a refill. She also made sure when we were finished plates were cleared and expressed to us how much she loved being a server, which was nice to hear as a customer. Truly made a huge difference in our experience having her as our waitress. The decor is pretty much standard across the board since it is corporate but they do little things to make it represent the location they're in. My chicken last night was cooked perfectly and so nice and moist how it should be. My husband had a medium rare steak which anywhere else is hit or miss but they did his steak perfectly. My first experience with Texas Roadhouse was the location on Eau Gallie Blvd., just east of Eau Gallie Causeway. Being accustomed to Outback and other steakhouses of the same ilk, I was expecting somewhat of the same thing. Back then, a steakhouse was a steakhouse and what made them stand out from others is how well they cooked their steaks. And though Texas Roadhouse is very similar to other steakhouses, they also introduced differences I was not used to or did not know as options at the time. With that said, when a location opened up on Malabar Rd., I was happy as it is my stepdad's favorite restaurant. I, along with family and friends, have eaten at this location many times over the course of many years. And though I can name other steakhouses that are above and beyond the basics of what Texas Roadhouse offers, overall, this is a good Texas Roadhouse location. Probably no better or no worse than others in general, but still good... and a bit my preference because it happens to be the closest one to home. Texas Roadhouse on Malabar Rd. is located on the Northside of the road, just west of the I-95 Malabar Rd. exit. One gripe is that its location is behind a McDonald's and gas station, thus there is a lot of traffic going in-and-out to the restaurant. It doesn't help that the direct entrance to Texas Roadhouse is a "right turn ONLY" heading west on Malabar Rd. For patrons heading east, you will need to either make a u-turn or turn left into the plaza at the stoplight that is west and before Texas Roadhouse and enter through plaza parking in the restaurant's backside. If you seen the majority of Texas Roadhouse restaurants, than you seen this one. Same decor with the outside waiting area where barrels of peanuts used to be. Inside, typical and somewhat tacky western cowboy decor. SIDENOTE: there is always a corner of the restaurant dedicated to Willie Nelson. It is known as Willie's Corner and you'll know you are sitting at it because it will have a sign that says it. Service and food have been generally good to above average over the course of my multiple visits, but mostly generally good. There have been times things were not stellar. For example, if you can, make sure you do not get a table near the restrooms. Depending on who is on staff, it will be fine or slight whiffs of sanitary disposal might come your way. But besides that, almost all my wait staff have been on point and the food is delicious. As a matter of fact, I will say that out of all the food they have, my fav dish, believe it or not, is their Caesar chicken salad (meal size). Evenly coated dressing on everything and a lot of big pieces of chicken. Definitely my go-to" if I want to eat healthy-er-ish. Ultimately, this Texas Roadhouse location is just like the others and if distance is not a thing, you can't go wrong going to this one or to any other. Like I said, I am a bit biased to this one simply because it is the closest. There hasn't been a Texas Roadhouse that has been generally above average or gone above and beyond my initial experience. I came to the restaurant with my disabled friend who is on crutches and struggling to walk. It's over 86° today stifling hot and I asked the hostess if we could come inside and wait because I could see plenty of seats available for him to sit down since he was on crutches. She said no that he had to wait behind a party of 34 people. she couldn't be considerate enough to let people in to just rest or even one to just rest in the AC not caring that he was on crutches. I called her out on it. She said "you could wait in your car?" I said, "Or you could be considerate towards the disabled man??" she continued to say no so I said "I'm canceling and you can take the other 34 people." She said OK thank you have a nice day" with a smirk on her face and in a snotty way. when I see that you don't care about disabled people that's when I have to leave because there was no reason you couldn't let him wait inside in the AC. In the past, when we have waited in the car in the heat, they completely forgot about us and we were waiting over an hour and our food was still cold and the service was bad. The restaurant on Malabar is consistently excellent in friendliness, professionalism and great service. If your steak happens to be wrong or anything you order they work tirelessly to fix it! The managers are on top of this! The staff is enthusiastic and very friendly! Our server tonight Jaiden was exceptional! He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We didn't really have to ask as he already knew what we wanted as far as drink refills. A consummate professional and hard worker! I truly appreciate the service tonight! Every time somebody brings up this restaurant I always hear Peter Griffin's voice in my head saying the word Roadhouse. You would think Roadhouse is the only restaurant in Palm Bay worth going to. This place is always packed no matter what time of day I go here. Surprisingly I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant I've also never had an experience that stood out as oh my God this is great. It is a corporate steakhouse chain so let's keep that in mind. The service is always fast and on point. Even with a party of 12 the food still comes out fast and the wait staff is pretty good I'm making sure we're being paid attention to the right amount. When you come here for lunch which is one other coworker you start by ordering a two for one and all the sudden he always two for one six drinks later (3each) we go back to work. I know you're probably alarm to hear that it's not a big deal or just Uber drivers and the day went much quicker and faster for all of our riders and tips went up cuz of the speed of which we got them to where they wanted to be. Well let's not get distracted and stay focused with this review I know the bar here gets the drinks out quick and they have so many great options for mixed drinks that the strawberry lemonade was a great choice. The food is always come out cooked properly and looking good. I prefer the green beans here as one of my sides because they have bacon bits in the green beans and the harsh reality is that bacon makes everything better. I also always get to baked potato because that's the deal when it comes to sides your starch ratio is very high compared to dollar ratio. One of the main Staples that made Texas Roadhouse such a fun place was all the free peanuts and the peanut shells all over the floor. They really cut back on the peanuts but they still offer them in a little pre-filled baggie. It's a nice touch and all but really got rid of all the peanut shell mess that I originally fell in love with. I miss cracking open peanuts and pretending it's a football trying to flick it between the fingers of somebody else and leave it on the ground and eat another nut and do it again. It was okay.... We ordered to go so maybe that's why it sucked. I got a message saying my order was ready so when I got there after I got the message, it still took 10 mins to bring out. I heated everything back up when I got home. The rolls and butter were delicious as always except they gave us six rolls and a tiny amount of butter. I got the chicken critters. The mashed potatoes were good. Mac and cheese was my other side and it looked like noodles with cheese poured on top. The chicken critters were thin pieces of chicken. I wish they were thicker meat. I got a crap ton of sauce and hardly any chicken. My daughter got the jr chicken tenders. Her tenders looked just like my critters. Thin pieces of fried tenders. She ordered a sprite and it def was not sprite. She said "I got sparkling water." I tasted it and she was right. There was NO flavor. It tasted like sparkling water. I was in Palm Bay FL on 8/29/25 and this was the BEST Service & Food I have ever had at any of their locations. Ryoko was my server and she was outstanding. She thought to ask every detail to get my order perfect & was genuinely kind. I do not usually write reviews but I felt a need to write about my experience today. Per usual the food and service were amazing but I had a bad encounter with one of the hostess. I went in with some friends and my son it was five people total she put us in a table thats only sat four because she did not count my child. We asked are server to move too a larger table and she replied "give me one moment to see whats available" a few minutes later she came back and said as of right now there isn't one available. Seeing as we really did not fit at this table I went back up to the host stand and asked the girl what options we had to move, She then replied "your just gonna have to deal with it I don't have anything else". Luckily the manager on duty Kaitlyn had us wait a few minutes for a table that was being cleaned so she can move us to a bigger table like we asked. Our party of four was seated by a surly, self-assured waiter that, we later learned, was the son of the owner or manager. It was obvious he thought he was above the likes of our group. He mumbled something none of us understood so I asked him to speak up (the place was up for grabs with noise). He replied that he could speak much louder but preferred not to. We eventually placed a drink order. Some time later he returned and began distributing our drinks. He technique was to grasp each glass with fingers around the rim leaving his prints around the top of each glass. My wife called him out and asked him to replace the drinks he had botched. He immediately became hostile and asked if we wanted another waitperson. We indicated we just wanted drinks that didn't have a dirty rim. He departed returned with one drink; leaving the rest of us to wonder what was going on. He left again. We were joined by another waitstaff who did a nice job of recovering the mess. We asked if he was coming back and were told he was 'having a moment' and wouldn't be returning. We all agreed that was the right thing to do. He probably has potential, but hiding behind his father and using that to his own advantage makes him a liability rather than an asset. Sad. Food was OK. Atmosphere was loud almost beyond tolerance. Ambiance was just right for young cowboys and cowgirls; not so much for middle aged people. This will be our last visit. read more

This was our first time ever trying a Texas Roadhouse, and our experience was extremely disappointing after hearing so many good things about this place. We encountered a handful of issues: - Seated others ahead of us even though we "On Deck". - Silverware not dried properly. When we unrolled our napkins with silverware they were all still wet. - No butter provided with bread rolls. If it was not for us looking at picture on Yelp we would have never known to ask for it. - Glass of water was dirty. There was something on the inside of the glass. - Appetizer had a piece of hair stuck on it which was fried! Yuck! - Entrée took forever to come out. Apparently they lost the ticket so our order came out extremely late. We tried to cancel our order but it apparently was already in-work. We were on our way in to the area and it was right around dinner time, so we coordinated with the in-laws to meet them at Texas Roadhouse (TR) upon their request. I've always been a fan of the chain, so had no problems with the meet up location. - Vibe - Whoa....this is one of the busiest TRs I have ever been to! There was a large crowd of people outside, waiting to be seated. Had a flashback of my younger days walking up to a club to get in. Luckily for us, my in-laws had arrived earlier and grabbed a table before we arrived. The restaurant was packed to the brim and I almost felt that even the tables and chairs were placed closer together than most of their other restaurants. Maybe it was the amount of people that gave the perception of the space to be smaller, but wow, people love them some TR around these parts. - Noms + Sips - Half Sweet Tea, Half Lemonade - In Hawaii, they call this a Plantation Tea. What do they call this in the South? Arnold Palmer? Our served did the perfect mix. Our table had a variety of things. I sampled some of the apps that my in-laws ordered. Honestly, if you get an full entree at TR, I don't really think apps are necessary unless you are a bear out of hibernation. I mean, you have to make your way through their bread which is so dang good, that it is surprising that I even make it to my entree after eating a basket of those rolls with the cinnamon butter. Buffalo Chicken App - tasted fresh, chicken was juicy, crust was crispy. Potato wedges with cheese and bacon - pretty good and I would order this again if this was all I was having... with the rolls. Generous portion. 6oz sirloin with shrimp combo - This is usually my favorite part of the meal, but unfortunately, on this particular visit, the person who prepared it was a little heavy handed on the salt. Other than that, the steak was cooked to the level doneness as requested and quality of meat was great, just a little too salty. I also had a side salad and the sweet potato and those were fresh and good. - TLC - The real reason for this review is to give credit where credit is due. I've saved the best for last because she truly was the best. We had a lady by the name of Briana who took care of us and she was an absolute sweetheart. Despite being slammed, she was timely and very attentive. Just the way she spoke, so kind and genuine. She was calm and collected despite a very hectic, busy Friday night environment.
