We have visited this Texas Roadhouse several times over the years it has been opened. Today(Saturday afternoon between 2 & 3pm) we stopped for early supper. It was busy, but not as busy as it is later in the day. There were several empty tables throughout and lots of staff. We were seated on an upper level amongst other customers in jackets because the ceiling fans were all on. We were told this was because of the crowd. Today was a cold day, we didn't want to come in from the cold, pay $60+ for a meal, and have to stay in the cold to eat. We were relocated near the bar. Our server was great, but one steak was cooked rare, instead of well, so we had to wait for that. I was surprised at the ladies room and how dirty it was-the floor needed scrubbed, paper products were not available and the sink area was dark. What's going on??? This was a great family restaurant with good comfortable atmosphere, clean and polished. Now it's on the level of an intercity fast food provider! Please check into this. read more

I've had very few good meals from here, and genuinely only come here when it's a must. The waiters are not the nicest, I even went to highschool with some of them and none of them have changed their mean attitude. The hosts are super nice but I mean anyone can be nice for 30 seconds. This might be the WORST Texas Roadhouse location in Western, PA. Definitely the worst we've been to. Stopped in on a Tuesday night around 8:30. I should have turned right around when I noticed the steak display case was already put away and I could see a woman operating the bread mixer while sweeping the floor (simultaneously - so imagine what else is in the dough.) We were promptly seated. Our server Abby was super sweet and friendly. Got our drinks and took our order right away. I then went to the restroom (another sign I should have left.) The entire restaurant was pretty filthy, the toilets were leaking, etc. By the time I returned (no more than 3 minutes) our rattlesnake bites were out. I wish I took a picture because they were all smooshed and sitting in a puddle of grease. They were cold. Pretty sure they were left over from dinner rush. We politely declined them and asked to be removed from bill. Salads were okay but seemed extra small. When our entrees came out, it was clear the were cooked wrong (see pic.) I ordered 8 oz sirloin medium, partner ordered ribeye med-rare. Guess which one had juices flowing all over the plate? The medium. The ribeye was so salty, he could not even it. Potatoes cold....not just lukewarm....COLD. You could tell because the cheese wasn't even melting. The server and manager were very apologetic, but WHY are they letting sub-par food get served from the kitchen? We were definitely not the only dissatisfied patrons that night. We understand that it was later in the evening (8:30) and it takes A LOT for us to complain, so this was just unacceptable for what would've been an $80+ meal. We usually go to the Texas Roadhouse in Greensburg, PA and always have a great meal and service. Clearly, corporate needs to step in and clean the place up and re-teach standards to Butler. First to start off my review for Texas Roadhouse is the food, the rolls are so delicious, including the mini cheeseburgers and steak fries. The ranch is just on another level. The wait staff are so kind and friendly, the last time I went to Texas Roadhouse my waitress was so bubbly and sweet! There were 4 of us in our party. Not one of our meals was decent. I ordered Chicken fried steak I got something else that was like shoe leather. My aunt ordered her steak well with no pink and it came out medium well pink in the center her baked potato had so much salt on it she couldn't eat it.. My cousin ordered her bacon cheese burger well and it also had pink in the middle. My other cousin ordered chicken Salad with Italian dressing and it was pure vinegar. Absolutely the worst restaurant experience ever. we were there for a birthday with reservation stating that we had five kids before we showed up.. 1. They split us between different tables. I didn't drive 1.5 hours to not be apart of the birthday party.. 2. women's bathroom toilets were all clogged with no sign stating that the bathrooms were not working, clogged, or flooding (but was not flooding at the point I was in there, that happened later) 3. Waitress next to us dropped her tray of food and the girl behind her caught it with the two plates of food that she had in her hands. Then proceeds to still give the two ladies THOSE PLATES THAT WERE SMASHED UP AGAINST THE BOTTOM OF THE TRAY! 4. Liquid sat on the floor for 20 MINUTES AFTER THE WAITRESS DROPPED AND BROKE THE PLATES. they came and swept up the food and plates but not the liquids! We finally flagged a girl down and told her and she said "I'll have to see about that" SHE HAD A RAG IN HER HAND... IN HER HAND!!! As the liquid is now slowly rolling under our 2nd chair and table... 5. We get our food and all the adult food came out but none of the kids food or mine (I got a salad).. we again waited so long for the kids food to come out the kids ate most of everyone else's food and it was at least another 10 MINUTES THAT WENT BY BEFORE THE REST CAME OUT! 6. My son (a child who normally I take into the women's with me now has to go by himself into the mens) goes in to use the men's bathroom and SLIPS ON THE FLOOR INTO CRAP WATER!! The men's room was flooded with about a half inch of water with no sign outside!!!!! 7. No signs were outside of the bathrooms as a warning of any sort nor were the bathrooms shut down until an hour later after I told the waitress to say something to the manager Because people kept going in and out. The manager brings my second steak salad and I proceeded to tell her about my son falling and everything else we've experienced. she just gave me such a lost look. The only thing she could respond with was "the plumber was supposed to be here at 630 and never showed.." I asked why the bathrooms weren't shut down? Response: "is he okay?"(DIVERTING AWAY FROM THE QUESTION BACK TO MY CHILD WHO HAD FELL) And "is there anything I can get you".. I SAID I NEEDED A FEW MINUTES BECAUSE I WAS SO MAD... SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO COME BACK! 10. FINALLY SHUT DOWN THE BATHROOMS AS WATER IS RUNNING OUT FROM UNDER THE DOOR!! 11. I TOLD AND SHOWED THE MANAGER THE PUDDLE AND NOW COMPLETELY UNDER THE TABLE AND IT WAS ANOTHER 10 MINUTES UNTIL SOMEONE DID SOMETHING!!! SHE DIDNT EVEN DO ANYTHING BUT LOOK AND GET SOMEONE ELSE. Someone finally came over and threw down peanuts and started stomping on them. Then again left them there for at least another 10 MINUTES before I said something again after someone slipped but didn't fall. They swept them up. 12. FINALLY TOOK 2 HOURS AND 22 MINUTES (THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE) TO PUT A SIGN ON THE DOOR THAT SAID "THEY WERE SHUTTING DOWN THE RESTAURANT DUE TO THE PROBLEM" AS WE WERE WALKING OUT. 13. MY SON HAD TO RIDE HOME IN HIS UNDERWEAR DUE TO BACTERIA AND FECES FILLED WET CLOTHING!!!!!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY PRAY HE DOESN'T GET SICK FROM THIS PLACE!! AND ITS 30 DEGREES OUTSIDE SO HE FROZE THE WHOLE WAY HOME!!! I had to ask for a bag to put his wet clothing into! Summary: Liquid was on the floor total of 50 minutes. Bathroom was unattended to and allowed customers use for an additional 2 hours after we had gotten there. Food MIA for 15 minutes. Poor managerial skills to say the least. I was surprised how good the food and service were for a chain restaurant. The prices reflect that as well, not as expensive as a more posh place. The staff hustle and make sure everything is perfect. The place was clean, my steak was cooked medium rare, how I ordered it and the side items were also cooked perfectly. Came here for a quick dinner before going to Cheeseman's Haunted House, which was about a 15 minute drive away. The wait here was rather long on a Sunday evening, which was to be expected. I haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse in 12 years. For some reason the kids wanted to go and get some. They live the peanuts and I can't blame them for loving the rolls. This restaurant was kind of crazy busy. We had one server and then she said she was being sent home and someone else would be helping us. Anyway, that caused delays in ordering. Our server was kind but clearly stretched thin. For the food, my son wasn't that hungry, so he asked to order from the kids menu. He ordered the steak and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the steak he received. It was much bigger than the steak he had the night before, which was to be a 13oz steak. He claimed this steak was much bigger, cooked more to his liking and seasoned perfectly, all of that and $15 less than the night before. I ordered the catfish and absolutely loved it. Perfectly seasoned, flaky and fresh. Also the side salad was very good. My wife and daughter seemed to enjoy their meals also. She must have been severely overworked because we could never find her. Our appetizer, the onion blossom, was overcooked, small, and unappetizing. Coupled with slow drink service, the evening meal did not start well. The entrees were disappointing, at best. The 14oz Rib Eye was disgusting. It was so small and flat that I questioned whether this was a bait-and-switch tactic of restaurant management. Our steaks looked nothing like those on display at the front meat counter. It was all such a massive disappointment, but the worst part is that this is not the first time that we had a bad experience at this location. It is such a shame. They have excellent rolls (it's the butter) mmm I usuallyy order Chicken Critters , and it comes with two sides that you can choose. My last visit, my waitress was donating her tips to Caring Angels, and Matt Clement from the Boston Red Sox was there signing baseballs for the same cause. Generally I do not like to complain but after going to Texas Roadhouse in Butler, PA for years we had the worst experience anywhere we have eaten to date. Some context into what happened... We were seated within 2 minutes of arriving which was faster than our waiting list app originally said. Then from there everything went down hill. My friend ordered a sangria which when it came to our table looked very murky like some type of white fluid was added to it. Upon tasting it, it was very bitter. We weren't going to complain as its not generally in our nature but then my friends salad came out... brown. Not just one or 2 pieces but 95% of the salad was bad along with brown mushy pieces included.. Ok that was the tipping point and we brought it to our waitresses attention. Seriously, why was food served like that. Our waitress was very nice and had the salad replaced and took the sangria off our bill. Then comes the replacement salad... better but still had about 40% that was un-edible. And this salad included pieces of onion skins... We decided not to continue to complain as it was just getting annoying to this point. THEN our steaks came out. My friend said something that made me look up. She cut her strip steak into 3 big pieces. The steak was PURPLE inside and still cold! I then cut into my Dallas Filet. It was rare inside and slightly warmer than cold!! COME ON NOW. Not only one issue but FIVE! Then, the manager came over and asked if the steaks were prepared good. We said no they are supposed to be medium and they are raw. She said she would corrected after asking what kind of steaks they were. So we waited a good 20 minutes for them to bring out THE SAME STEAKS that were finally cooked and we told the manager they were better when we cut into them. Then we went to eat them... and dry dry dry. At this point we were so fed up with the whole situation we just wanted our check to leave. It didn't dawn on us to take pictures until towards the end so we did get pictures of the dried steak and parts of the second salad, but I'm unable to find a way to post these pictures on this review. When the waitress came back to take the payment I mentioned again how horrible everything was and not having just one issue but multiple. She said she would speak with her manager. Upon coming back AFTER she ran my c.c. she told us that the manager said, "since we ate some of the steak the 2nd time around everything should of been ok and nothing was being done to our bill." At this point we are 100% furious. We were not looking for a free meal. We go out almost weekly to different restaurants. But what we do expect is $61 worth of EDIBLE food. To add context to the "steak we were supposedly eating" we took most of it home for our DOGS! How many things have to go wrong in a visit before common curiosity is done. How a business can run like this I don't know. But I will have a very hard time explaining to my children why we will NOT be going on their birthdays like we do every year. Watched a party of 12, with no reservation and did not join the list walk right in and get sat, all while we were told it would be another hour to an hour and a half. The second time was not much better, my food was overdone and my husbands was still a bit overdone. Sides were stone cold. Manager stopped by but did not apologize. With all this said, our waitress Morgan was super great. Wish I could say I would come back just for her but not with such poor food. The many staff members were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic (except manager). But we saw a staff member in the kitchen with a long beard uncovered.
