Staff was incredibly friendly, atmosphere is homey and delightful. Pretzels on the appetizer front were amazing. Can see craving these, will come back for these. We had a 90th birthday lunch for my Dad recently and it was a wonderful experience! We reserved the party room and they had it decorated so nicely! I had very high hopes because they are the same owners of the Log Cabin and Springfield Grille however, they are nothing in comparison food or server wise. We waited about 10 minutes before we were greeted which isn't so bad but once we got our appetizer which took a very long time we didnt see our server for at least another 30-45 minutes. I was never topped off for my water, we barely got checked on and she walked past us numerous times. The appetizer we got was thr Spinach Artichoke Dip. It was okay. Very cheesy. The chips were the best part. Once we finally ordered our food my salad was decent but the chicken I got was like the pre ready grilled Tyson strips that they have in the plastic bags at the grocery store. As I said the salad part was good with the fresh berries and yummy peach vinaigrette but the chicken was awful. The place had plenty of seating and was cute inside but I was HIGHLY disappointed with the service and the food. There aren't as many gluten free options as the other restaurants which was upsetting. We were greeted by our waitress but she wasn't very welcoming... no smile just wanted to know our orders. Expected more enthusiasm on Christmas Eve. We have never had a bad experience dining at Rachel's Roadhouse. This is the 3rd location that we have tried and were pleased with the results. I had ordered the salmon, and the waitress asked if I wanted an additional side. I asked for the broccoli but wanted to know if they used butter and garlic powder in its preparation. She said she would check and asked if they didn't, would I want to cancel the side? I responded no, but was hopeful. She returned with my meal and the plate had a large amount of broccoli. I was informed that the kitchen used fresh garlic and the waitress even brought out extra butter. It was amazing. The extra butter, after it melted, was amazing with the salmon as well. The service was unpolished and distracted. Beautiful interior that looks inviting but somehow seemed like there was no privacy the way the tables are setup and the way we were seated. Attempted to give this place another chance after multiple awful experiences. Today my family took my sister out for her birthday. First, when walking in the hostess claimed shes gonna quit soon to her co worker. Then, when seated the waitress said her day couldn't get worse and made the whole encounter about her. we said well at least it's getting busy...she then said that it's gonna make her day worse to get busy. My wife and I used to go to Rachel's several times a year when I still visited Butler on business and prior to Covid. We live about an hour away. My wife and I and my daughter's family visited there tonight and were disappointed. The stuffed hot peppers were outstanding. The chicken fingers, club sandwich and the Louisiana chicken were very good. But my daughter and both I had the Cajun pasta, which I have had maybe 8 - 10 times before and my daughter has had often.. This time it was so salty that my daughter got sick on it. I ate mine, but thought that someone had emptied a salt shaker in every serving. The server lacked any personality and did things out of order. One example is that she brought the stuffed peppers, then came back a few minutes later with small plates and silverware. One would expect the silverware and plates to be bought out while we waited for the hot peppers. The restaurant was moderately busy, but even so the service took much longer than usual. We normally would rate Rachel's 5 stars, but not tonight. read more

I usually eat here when visiting the area. The service is good and the food is decent. During this visit, I ate here twice. First day I had an Annie O Burger? And second day the English fish cakes. I would say my only recommendation to improve would be to cut down on the enormous amount of salt used in the food. I enjoyed my drinks here. Both the Bantam and the pumpkin martini were nice. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the wait time is very acceptable. The food is very good for the prices. The menu offers burgers and sandwiches to steak, seafood, and "homemade" dishes. My visit here was with a group of ten for lunch celebrating a recent college graduation. We tried to call before hand for reservations but was told they don't take reservations... ok wasn't a huge deal. Before the rest of my party got the to restaurant I went in (and this was as soon as they opened) and asked the hostess if they would be able to accommodate us. She was very polite and said yes, gave me a buzzer, and just asked that we wait about 25 minutes while the rest of her staff arrived for their shifts, which we were happy to oblige. Sure enough within 25 minutes, we had a table for all 10 of us . Our waiter was just phenomenal. He handled our entire table like an absolute pro, explained their menu items, kept drinks full... just fantastic. Food was great! I ordered the club sandwich. It was delish! Very fresh and tasty. A couple people at my table also ordered the fish and it looked amazing too! No one complained about their food and most of us (if not all of us) ended up taking food home... portions are quite large. Overall, very impressed. I should add that we were just one group out of probably 3-4 large groups in the restaurant, on top of the bar, and other tables. Very impressive how they handle everything. read more

The bartender, whose name I think was Liz, was outstanding on personality, friendliness & service. She let me taste a few beers & I ordered an Elliottville IPA. I had the prime burger because it had Kunzler bacon on it which is from my hometown of Lancaster, PA. I ordered a red wine, and it came out in a super hot wine glass that just came out of the dishwasher. Hot red wine is not appealing at all (room temp is fine, cave temp is preferred). Oh my goodness, my new favorite restaurant. My daughter and I have now made this our place. The workers are fantastic and seem to always be happy. The service is excellent, the food is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant in itself is enjoyable, clean and the atmosphere is just awesome. There's plenty of help if you need it but they don't bug you too much during your stay. It's just right. A comfortable place to be and to share good moments with people that you love to be with. Rachel's is simply my must-go to stop when I visit Pennsylvania. They are consistently wonderful. Rachel's always reminds me of another time. It has this saloon quality with a splash of Victorianism that gives it a unique and distinctive ambiance. With the host stand right by the door they always see people when arriving and this time we were immediately seated. There were five of us - all adults - and they placed us in a booth. I would have preferred a table because we felt a bit compact but we didn't say anything. I had a Moscow mule which was great and their filet medallion sandwich on garlic croissant - that was simply divine. The meat was cooked medium, seasoned perfectly, super tender on delightfully garlicky bread. It was fantastic! Our waitress was great.
