Five stars for the food. I almost dropped it one because the service was quite slow, despite it not being terribly crowded on a Saturday night. But maybe that's just that the chefs spent extra time on the food, which was great. This is the Marriott hotel restaurant, but it is actually first class cuisine. Modern decor; enough light to see your food and read the menu; television with football, but the sound off, horray. Depending on the day, each server was just okay. We had one that was great. I wish I knew her name. The buffet for breakfast is just okay. I honestly wouldn't go here if I had to pay for it. We got breakfast buffet coupons in Marriott. However, the food in the buffet really was not great. Even the $3 up charge for ready made food wasn't good. I got an omelette and it was just sooo bland and disgusting. The French toast is good and the fresh fruit. But I've had better buffet breakfasts at other hotels. read more

Stayed at the Marriot where this restaurant is located and I was pleasantly surprise. Spacious modern restaurant with a decent sized bar. The staff was attentive and personable. So got a few meals this week at the hotel. I must say it was a disappointment right from the start. I am a lifetime titanium member at Marriott and dine at various hotels. First meal was a Marriott Burger, my usual go to meal. Ordered medium rare and road pavement would have been easier to eat. The burger was overcooked. Second meal was the hot honey chicken sandwich and they replaced the chicken breast with a chicken nugget. It was all bun snd very little chicken. Third meal was the hummus plate as nc for the most part was ok. The pita slices looked great till you took a bite and realized that the under side was burnt to a crisp. Bartender was actually tucked off at me for asking for a replacement and had attitude the whole night. Final meal was the shareable pork tacos. I know something was wrong when the order came out with brown guacamole and the cheese was melted. As if the whole thing sat under a heat lamp. Pork was undercooked snd didn't shreds very easily. They didn't have anymore guacamole in the whole restaurant. Surprise since this was a special. Most of the bartenders are nice, but a few have an attitude to point they should find another line of work and not be public facing. read more

Not bad for a hotel bar/restaurant and the free glass of wine doesn't hurt either. For dinner I ended up having a bbq chicken flat bread which was average. The service as people have mentioned was a little slow. Folks who had ordered after me ended up getting food/drinks first but that's to be expected I guess. I dined there again for breakfast a few days later, pretty decent breakfast buffet for under $20 and I left feeling happily full and ready to start my day. Again, not so bad for a hotel but I found some other great places nearby worthy of better reviews. read more

During a recent stay at the new Courtyard, we decided to walk next door to the Marriott Hotel to try "RC Grille". My boyfriend had heard about their prime rib buffet and was looking forward to trying it. Everyone is always so friendly at Marriott's and this location is no exception. We were greeted right away by the hostess, she was nice enough to let us pick out a booth. Our server was also very friendly. We walked over to the buffet to preview it. It was set up a little odd. Rather than a huge bowl of salad, they had prepared individual salads. Same with some other dishes. The huge pot of pasta with mussels and clams made the buffet a done deal fro BJ. There was no "carving station" on the buffet. Our server explained that BJ would order the prime rib and it would be delivered straight from the kitchen. And when he was ready for more, our server would deliver. I ordered a grilled shrimp salad with baby romaine served with a vinaigrette. It was very good. For dessert, we shared a hot fudge brownie sundae with fresh strawberries. We were shocked when we saw it, it was huge! Our server explained that he told the chef we were sharing......so, he made it jumbo size for us. How sweet! All in all, a very nice experience. read more

I've only dined here twice, but would definitely want to keep going back. My husband and I forget that this place is around because there are so many food choices in Cranberry. Also, I'm not sure if locals know of this place or where to find this place because it's inside the hotel. Hidden Gem. The food is delicious! The decor and name can throw you off as what type of food they serve, but I'm guessing because of the bar area with tvs, it is somewhat a bar/grill? The food can range from burgers to gourmet almost fine dining, so the prices vary. My husband thinks it's pricy. The servings are decent to to large. The appetizers are really good. My fave is the chicken lollipop and the jumbo shrimp comes second. The surf and turf was delicious! I forgot what other entree I got from the second time, but I don't have any negatives to say about the food I've tried. Two things that made me take off a star is because some nights (maybe it was a winter night? don't recall) can be slower service even a wait by the host stand when the place seems empty, and we had chicken lollipop leftovers and the server forgot to pack them. Had a morning after breakfast here, it's inside the Marriott. As far as hotel restaurants goes this one was pretty good. The buffet is overpriced and looks sparse so we got an all American breakfast and the egg white frittata. Good sized portions Fruit was very fresh and service was decent as well. $98 for two including drinks. After driving from DC to Exit #3 on the PA Turnpike we were thrilled to check into a full service Marriott hotel. The nearby restaurants didn't look to appealing, so we took a chance on the hotel restaurant, the River City Grill. We were cautious - wary of hotel restaurants and their reputation for sub-par food at above par pricing. My wife ordered the beef filet and I ordered the NY Strip: after all how badly can a restaurant screw up a good piece of meat? My wife's filet was cooked properly - rare. She says that it lacked flavor and was dry. It was funny when she said "it was dry" because that was my first thought when the filet was presented. It looked dry. My NY Strip was charred and medium-well when I'd asked for medium-rare. The charring, burning actually, ruined the fatty strip on the side of the steak. It wasn't very good. I had to hit it with a lot of salt to get any flavor out of the meat. On the up side: my "smashed potatoes" were fresh and flavorful as was my caesar salad. The fresh bread served with the meal was hot and fresh. My wife's baked potato and dinner salad are reported as being, "very good". Our drinks were properly prepared: Old Fashioned for her and Gin and Tonic for me. We passed on dessert. Overall, a real mixed bag. I REALLY like Marriott hotels and actively tried to order a good dinner which was tough to screw up. None-the-less the kitchen was able to muck-up two really easily prepared entrees. If I were staying there again - and I will - I drive down the road and try someplace else. read more

My friend and I were here this evening after work, and although we were there on a recommendation of a friend, it MORE than surpassed my expectations. We shared the chicken lollipops and the zucchini fritters, and we were blown away with the quality, portion size, and taste. I stand by what I told our server, those zucchini fritters were the best thing I ever tasted!! We each also got the NY Strip, each with a different sauce and sides. Delicious! We were too stuffed for dessert, but had to sample a chocolate martini, instead. The other highlight of the night was our server, Meghan. She was so sweet and accommodating. I'm getting over a cold and when she heard me cough, she even offered to bring me some hot tea. She genuinely cared enough to do that, and its not too often you find someone willing to be so thoughtful! The first thing we have to tell you is that this is located inside the Marriott Hotel. I'm not sure who decided that the prices were in the range of two dollar signs. Think closer to three. The sandwiches can be had for a reasonable price and the place is open to 10:30 pm or so. The menu is limited and our food was mediocre at best. Our server was warm and friendly which almost made up for the food quality. I had a Ceaser Salad and a French onion soup. The salad was good as was the French Onion soup. My wife's Rueben however was a different story. The corned beef was tough and it wasn't something she would have finished had it not been late and we were both starving and tired. If you're staying in the Marriott and are on an expense account it might be okay. For most I'd suggest checking Yelp for a better value. read more

On the road and stayed across the parking lot at the Courtyard. Excellent dinner experience. Staff was very attentive. At suggestion of my server had a rack of lamb that wasn't on the menu. Normally would not order that at any hotel. Pleasant surprise. Done beautifully, at chef's recommended med rare. Yukon gold mash and asparagus done al dente. Had a great dinner at the river grill. The Ahi Tuna was superb, and I actually had a craving for sushi so that was a double plus! I ordered the filet mignon for my main and the cut and the way it was cooked was awesome!!! The only thing I would say was not exactly to my taste was the red wine sauce, it tasted a little on the sour side to my liking bit that is just my opinion. My wonderful waitress Magen suggested the old style apple pie which upon completion motivated me to take the longer walk back to my hotel. Oh yes, and of course I took advantage of their wonderful offer for a free glass of sparkling wine that was graciously subbed out for a glass of red wine which was perfect with my steak!!!!! read more

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were debating where to eat one Saturday night. We stumbled on the Yelp reviews for the River City Grille, and their Fri/Sat Prime Rib buffet special sounded great. We're local to the area, but had never been to the RCG. There are many local restaurant options, but I hate waiting long for tables and we were looking for a place we hadn't visited in a while. The RCG was a great 'new' find! No wait, very pleasant staff, and the food was incredibly good. The buffet items were delicious, and the Prime Rib was cooked to order exactly how I like it them - yeah, I doubled down. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job. After dinner, we had a few drinks at the large bar and watched a game. The bartender was also nice, and let us know that if you "Check In" through Yelp, you receive a complimentary promotional item (glass of champagne, wine, whatever they may offer). I told several friends about our experience. We'll definitely keep this place in the rotation and be back soon! read more

My husband and I went here to celebrate my birthday. We arrived and were promptly shown to our table and soon after greeted by our outstanding server, Megan. We ordered Pasta Fagioli and a salad to start and both were very good. For dinner we ordered the ravioli special of the day and the Short ribs and once again were very happy with our choices. The bread that accompanied the meal was excellent also. We were surprised with a birthday dessert of the most delicious lemon tart and a chocolate mousse cake that was decadently delicious! The food and service is good here and can rival any nearby restaurants. The only wish I have is that they should be monitoring guests as they arrive. Sometimes, I've stood at the entry, waiting to be shown to a table for more than 2 minutes and that is not really acceptable. We were surprised by all the possible options so we ordered different from one another to try more! Everything was excellent especially the service, our waitress was very knowledgeable and guided us thru the menu.
