Unfortunately, the quality of the customer service at this Texas Roadhouse is not consistent. Some visits we have great servers that juggle 6 tables at a time and still provide a good experience, while others do not. Eating at Texas Roadhouse truly is an experience. When you walk in and wait in their line you are essentially herded like cattle until it gets to be your turn to be sat. The rolls at Texas Roadhouse are heavenly and pair well with the honey butter. Their cactus blossom (like Outback's bloomin' onion) is battered well and actually comes with a quality onion (Outback sometimes fails to meet those standards). The salads are fresh and have great ranch. The steaks have good flavor (seasoned well) and go well with their fries. Our server was slow even though we were her only table in her section. It took about 5 minutes for some iced water to get to us. The setting of every Texas Roadhouse is pretty much the same, along with the same layout. Don't expect too much of a difference! read more

The food is always great. The service was subpar and I understand that they were busy but my dad's order was wrong because they forgot one of his pork chops. The worst part about the whole experience was it was sooooo LOUD that we couldn't even have a conversation. For me, enjoying a meal with my family involves conversation and we couldn't have one. Came with my corvette club for lunch, all 30 of us! They told our director to be there at 11:30 but didn't let us in until noon when they opened. Some of them were really pissed! They had us set up at several different tables of 6. Tom was our waiter and he was excellent! I'd never been here so he explained everything. I had the 6 oz filet it was cooked just like I wanted. Baked potatoe was kinda hard, but I ate it. Our food came out pretty quick considering the amount of people we had. The frozen margarita was good and gave me a Decent buzz. Dee the bartender is excellent so she deserves recognition but that's where it stops. First, on a Saturday at 11 am, they were out of prime rib which is what I drove 20 miles for. I was wanting steak so I ordered the 16 ounce ribeye, medium rare, and my wife ordered the smaller one the same way. Ordered loaded baked potatoes. Here's where it crashes and burns. They were out of potatoes! They bring mashed potatoes that were cold and the cheese was still strings, not melted. The steaks were burned where the grill grates left marks and tasted like charcoal, which tells me the grill wasn't cleaned. Steaks were the poorest cuts of meat, stringy gristle and tough. Birthday dinner time for my fiancé! He loves Texas Roadhouse, so we headed here for a table for 4 to enjoy dinner and celebrate his birthday. When we arrived, we checked in, and thankfully arrived right before a party of 24 and a party of 12 and a party of 8! We ordered two apps to share- the Cactus Blossom app and the Rattlesnake Bites. The Cactus Blossom is delicious, especially with ranch in addition to the sauce that comes with the app. The Rattlesnake bites were decent, but not really my favorite item. They were a bit bland, seasoning-wise, and a bit spicy. For our meals, we had the Roadkill, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the country fried steak which was delicious and super filling, the steak kabob, which was cooked perfectly, and the 16oz Fort Worth ribeye which made the birthday boy super happy! We enjoyed maragaritas and the porch rocker for drinks, and mashed potatoes and mac n cheese as our sides. The mac n cheese is fine, but nothing super incredible. The mashed potatoes were delicious. This is one franchise I will gladly keep coming back to again and again. For how busy they always are, the service is consistently excellent, and the food comes out surprisingly quick. Now, this might be a hot take--I'm not the biggest fan of their Rolls and butter. They're good, just not something I personally rave about. That being said, my wife absolutely loves them, so clearly they're a hit with most people. I usually stick with the same order: the 16-ounce sirloin, cooked medium rare, with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad on the side. My wife also goes for the 16-ounce sirloin, paired with a vegetable and a sweet potato. Every single time, the steaks come out cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and exactly how we like them. What impresses me most is how well they manage everything, even on their busiest nights. The staff stays attentive, the food quality never slips, and the whole experience feels smooth from start to finish. Overall, Texas Roadhouse delivers an outstanding dining experience. I'm glad to have one nearby, and I'll continue to go back with zero hesitation. read more

Our bartender (Majia) was just aloof, seemed inconvenienced to be there, not delivering the customer service one would expect and just overall awkward. We went in today, Kenzie was our bartender and she is amazing, not to mention Nikoll was there and amazing as well, 2 girls shining bright and deserve the recognition. Went here with my wife, kids, and a couple extended family members on Thursday evening (so not a super busy night). Wait for a table wasn't bad at all, and things started out like normal for a Texas Roadhouse. Then, the problems started. First (as per usual for Roadhouse), rolls were a bit light on cinnamon butter. Asked for more, nbd. Got regular butter...mistakes happen, nbd. Asked to get the right butter, waitress quips "it's not like it's a big deal" at my wife. Rude, but everyone has an off day. Fast forward to food. My steak, ordered medium rare, is well done (i.e. burnt). Sister's steak, ordered medium rare, is medium well. (Almost burnt, but closer?) BIL's steak, ordered burnt, comes out about as ordered. Wife's pork chop is dry and hard. Fries with my sister's steak are cold. Daughter's hot dog is dry and withered. Wife's loaded baked potato only has sour cream (and NOTHING else). My steamed vegetables are cold. Basically, other than the potato mishap, it's like the waitress left the order sitting on the hot plate for 15-20mins after it was ready. So, we spoke to a manager...maybe it's bad training, right? Waitress is "their top trainer." Needless to say, I'll never come back to this location again. Negative infinity stars. read more

I'm writing this with a heavy heart because I truly used to enjoy coming here. I stop in 2-3 times for the early bird dinner and always loved the value and atmosphere. Unfortunately, my last three visits have been extremely disappointing. I understand people have a bad night and things are off so I gave it a few more tries before I wrote this and decided to not return. The bartending experience has completely changed. On one visit, one bartender was handling everything alone and there was no pre-busing at all -- plates stacked up in front of me from start to finish. I couldn't even get someone to take my payment. Normally my bill runs about $15 and I leave $25 because I appreciate good service. That night, I simply left the cash on the table and walked out. On my most recent visit, I asked for a table for one. The hostess asked someone to notify the server. I overheard that person come back and say the server huffed, puffed, and rolled her eyes about taking the table. At that point, I decided to just say, "Don't worry about it," and left. There were three bartenders previously -- one named D, and two other young ladies -- who were outstanding. If they were promoted, they earned it. But the replacements are nowhere near the same level. The difference in service is noticeable and disappointing. I hope this review reaches the right hands to make some changes I know I can't be the only one that's noticed the difference at the bar. read more

This was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time. We were seated by our server, Jordan, who seemed friendly at first. But things quickly went downhill. The rolls took forever to come out, which is already annoying when you're hungry. Then we found out she had accidentally thrown away our order receipt -- meaning our food hadn't even been properly put in. She had to come back and re-take the entire order, setting us back even more while we sat there getting hungrier by the minute. When the food finally arrived, it somehow got worse. My friend took a bite of her chicken and pulled out a sharp piece of plastic from inside it. Not something small and harmless -- a sharp piece. That is a serious safety issue. We were told that because there was plastic in her meal, it would be taken off the bill. Reasonable. Except when the check came, she was still charged for it. So after everything else, we had to point out yet another mistake and wait for that to be corrected too. And to top it off -- when we went back inside shortly after leaving because my friend had forgotten her keys, we saw Jordan standing at a table chatting and flirting with a group of guys. Meanwhile, during our meal, we could barely get basic things handled correctly. Seeing that just made the whole experience more frustrating, especially considering the lost order and all the delays. read more

One of the few places where you can get prime rib at a reasonable price in ILM. Quality was 3/5 stars. Decent but nothing like you get in Vegas. I'm thankful that at least you can get prime rib in Wilmington because Longhorns does not offer it. Service has always been friendly and great. No complaints. read more

We had the Prime Rib which was cooked perfectly and pretty good. The only thing I didn't care for was what I thought was an imitation Smokey flavoring added to the meat. Saturday Night Dinner... Food and service was good, but the restaurant is FILTY... We were served at 7:00. There was so much food under the table looked like it hadn't been swept in several days. Windows & window sills were disgusting. A 9 year old asked for an extra plate to share a salad with her mom. It was so covered in dried on food, a 9 year old refused to eat off it. Men's restroom only had one working urinal, and one working paper towel dispenser. Paper towels on the floor and overflowing from the trash bin. Serving hundreds of people a night, this restaurant can afford to clean up a little. If it is this bad in the public view, imagine the scene in the kitchen. read more

We have always liked Texas Roadhouse, but our visit last night was a disappointment. My husband's ribeye was excellent as well as the potato skins appetizer and rolls. I ordered fried catfish with salad and mixed vegetables. The salad was okay but the catfish was terrible. The pieces were small and had no taste. They don't have tartar sauce, but instead a spicy alternative that was too spicy for me. The mixed vegetables were barely warm and close to raw. I like raw vegetables (but couldn't eat these) but they needed to be cooked more to be considered steamed vegetables. It was very noisy but that is usually the case at Texas Roadhouse. The call ahead seating worked well as we were seated within about 10 minutes of our arrival. The food came quickly and our server Anthony was attentive. read more

Decided to do take out tonight. The restaurant was donating their profits from today to the western part of NC after hurricane Helene. A very worthy cause. It was super simple , went to the walk up window ,ordered 1/2 slab of fall off the bone ribs. With a baked potato with the butter, cheese and bacon on the side. And a tossed salad with dressing on the side. The outdoor seating/waiting area is large and shaded. Sat down and waited just a little bit and it was ready for pickup. I got home and promptly devoured a roll and their wonderful butter, I still have one left . The meat was indeed falling off the ribs, it was tender with lots of flavor. The barbecue sauce is on the sweeter side - it is not vinegar based. I felt it did need a small side of extra barbecue sauce , next time I will ask for that. The baked potato was large and tender , well baked. I'm saving the salad for later . I even have leftovers for another day. I will be back and either dine in or do takeout again. I'm going to say, before writing this review, that this is a VERY popular place in the area. However, I was unfortunately not as impressed as many others with the food. Atmosphere: It's very lively and loud. A fun family place to grab dinner. Very kid friendly. In fact, the go to for a family birthday night. I loved the serving tan clapping etc like you'd find at other establishments. It's definitely crowded and the line at certain times gets very long. The wait can be significant and they have a decking system for those that show vs buzzers (or at least when I was there). Seating was a mixture of bar, booths and a couple of seating tables. You do feel a little cramped and if you have children or adults on spectrum in your party I will tell you that it's very overwhelming with so much stimulation. Service: it was great. Can't complain there. Drinks were always refilled, attentive, our server was the best part of the experience. Even offered an in booth booster for our youngest without asking. Menu is very generic. Think outback but with western flare. Nothing fancy and you are spending some money for the better dishes. We did get a free child under 5 comp so that was nice. Food was eh. Well to be fair my oldest loved the burger and potatoes, my youngest didn't care too much for his mini sliders and only ate his applesauce. We had the chili and while the chili was great it was lacking a huge ingredient... more meat lol. Lots of onions peppers and sauce (tasty but scarce in protein). I didn't feel like I ate a meal but instead an appetizer or soup. I was also not huge fan of the greasy rolls but everyone else loved them. The steak I had was near perfect. The rest, not so much. The mashed potatoes were not only nearly tasteless but so cold that the whipped butter I placed on them when they first came still had not melted 5 minutes later, in fact it never completely melted. I have had better instant mash potatoes than what I got at the Texas roadhouse. Then they try to automatically charge you two dollars if you even touch that little electronic kiosk, and they don't even mention that it costs money to look at the thing. My server, when I told and showed her the potatoes with the still un-melted butter, laughed, but did not even offer to get me some that were hot. Morgan was a wonderful waiter for our family. Sweet and attentive. We came at busy lunch time as we were in Wilmington heading home to Charlotte. We showed up in 30mins and hardly had to wait... went to our table and ordered. I was hungry so I forgot to take pictures of my margarita and plate. The food is great and once you get past the door, the staff is great. My husband and I did the call ahead seating. We were told there were 5 people ahead of us, well an hour and a half later after seeing way more than 5 people were going in we asked where we were in line and she said 3 people ahead of us. We left because we knew we should have been seated already. We went back a week later and the person at the door was checking people in but before she got to doing that we checked in at the desk, and when we got the text saying our table was ready, she wasn't letting us go in. It'd had been over 10 years since either of us had eaten there! I was extremely impressed with the food and service! Atmosphere was typical (loud and busy) but that's not a negative thing if that's what you are in the mood for and know to expect it. We ordered a steak and it was actually cooked correctly, which is more than most upscale restaurants can say. We also got the country fried steak and it was great. I am a huge fan last night we went and I enjoyed a burger without the bun yes didn't feel much bread. Let me just say my burger was seasoned to perfection! It wasn't a long wait though it was Christmas Eve. We went right to our table and the waitress was amazing. Our food came in good time hot and plated well. Their bread and butter is amazing and well I can't just have one basket, but today I had to restrain myself.
