7/4/26: Eggs Up Grill was a great brunch stop during our time in Leland. We visited on the morning of July 4th, and the restaurant was packed. There was about a 15-minute wait, which wasn't bad considering how busy weekend mornings seem to be here. We ordered the Hash Benedict, Classic Benny, Croissant Style Donuts, and the Chimi Steak Scrambler with cheesy scrambled eggs, grilled marinated skirt steak, avocado, tomatoes, toast, and home fries. Every dish was well prepared and exactly what we were hoping for. The benedicts had perfectly cooked poached eggs with rich hollandaise sauce, the Chimi Steak Scrambler was hearty and flavorful, and the croissant-style donuts were a fun, sweet treat to share at the table. Because the restaurant was so busy, the food didn't come out immediately, but the wait was completely reasonable and never felt excessive. The staff did a great job keeping everyone moving, and our server was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us throughout the meal despite having a full section. Overall, I'd give Eggs Up Grill 4/5 stars. The combination of great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for an excellent brunch. This was our second visit, after experiencing cold tastless food on our first visit, we deciddeed not to come back again. But as time passed and we were hungry for a simple eggs, grits and bacon breakfast, we gave it a second try. My Omlet barerely had any cheese and the inside of it was watery slime, with cold mushrooms and the egg had no flavor. My grits were like soup with no texture and no flavor. My wife had two eggs over easy that were watery, not done well enough and her bacon was so salty she could not eat it. I complained to the waitress and all she said was "I'm so sorry." We moved to Leland 2 years ago and Eggs Up Grill has been our #1 breakfast place. My husband's favorite is the Founders Hash & Eggs, he has never been disappointed. It is always cooked to perfection and delicious. Yesterday we volunteered with a group of neighbors for the Tri Span 5K/10K and they suggested breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. There were 11 of us and Haley was our server. The size of the group didn't overwhelm her. She did an amazing job; took our orders with a smile and paid attention to everyone! She checked in with us and the beverages were refilled as needed. Haley was amazing. All your servers are great. They are always friendly, never rattled by a full restaurant, and it is impressive how they help one another. Kudos to the kitchen too. read more

We went while visiting Leland in October (out of season) at 10 AM on a Saturday. We didn't have any wait but the crowd was solid and consistent with very few open tables. I have heard in summer and early fall there can be a 30-60 minute wait. Nothing fancy about the restaurant but it is cute with little touches like funny tshirts and even an eggs cracked counter on the wall. Our waitress was friendly although they did seem understaffed as it took awhile for our orders to be taken and then again for the food to be served. Prices are reasonable for a breakfast spot. The food was pretty good with lots of interesting choices. We tried the Cro-nuts which are a combination of croissants and donuts. We had 2 variations, one plain and one seasonal which had a Creme filling, caramel, and cinnamon toast on top. Favorites varied within our table. For breakfast I had their breakfast quesadilla and home fries. The home fries were well seasoned and perfectly cooked where They weren't too crispy. The quesadilla had a little spice from the chorizo and was very good. Be sure to get some lime creama on the side to dip in. We would definitely try this place again. read more

For a place with "eggs" in the name, they sure do overcook my eggs consistently. Went in today to get takeout and my over medium eggs were very hard, and again no condiments. When I went to return it they tossed the entire dish instead of just recooking some eggs. So now I am waiting an unnecessary amount of time just because my eggs were wrong and I needed the salsa and sour cream that come with the bowl. I just wish they would do better because I do really like the food here when it's right. Update: after going back and waiting the eggs came out over hard again. I had them remake them a third time and one egg was right. At that point I just accepted it and went home. I think the cooks need more training because this is the most basic skill they need to have working at a breakfast restaurant. They gave me a 5 dollar coupon but I will not be back after this. The was my first visit to the Eggs Up Grill in Leland. Nice and bright interior with a section for outside seating. Our waitress Lindsey was very nice. I decided to try the Crème Brûlée French Toast. She asked if I wanted it with the drizzle and powdered sugar. Another waitress later brought our food. We were talking and I did not think much about my food. I did take a picture and started eating. It was very delicious. When I got to the middle of the toast it was soggy. I like my bacon crispy, but mine was a bit shriveled. After our meal, we were sitting there talking. I had a view of the counter and food window. I saw a waitress drizzling something on a dish and add powdered sugar. It hit me my dish was supposed to have those things on it too. The dish she carried to another table looked nothing like mine. I am to blame for being distracted and not realizing my dish was incomplete. Four of us had brunch here the other day. It was my first time eating at Eggs Up Grill (along with one friend). The place is one large open room, but very noisy due to the coffee machines. The menu had lots of great choices, but I ended up ordering the Chorizo Scrambler ($11.99). It was a very nice portion of eggs, chorizo sausage, diced tomatoes, some nice thick slices of avocado, all topped with a crema. I had the home fries and whole wheat toast. I could have skipped the toast - too much food for me. Service was a little on the slow side due to the place being filled with hungry diners. In fact, by the time we left, there were several people waiting at the door for tables. Our server was very friendly. I'll definitely go back. read more

Bad service, bad food, bad environment.... Something told me it was going to be another "challenging" morning at the Eggs Up Grill the moment we sat down and realized how COLD it was inside. We kept our coats on as did most of the customers. When we asked the hostess if they could turn the heat up, we were told "NO. It's cold in here because it's cold outside". The seats were COLD, the table was COLD, the even the menus were COLD. So sitting in the cold we waited and waited for a server to visit our table. The waitresses were all crowed together behind the counter busily chatting and texting on their phones with their backs to us. Eventually a waitress stopped by so we order coffee before ordering our meals. She dropped our coffee off and left. Meanwhile, our table didn't have enough sugar or creamer for the coffee and by the time the waitress brought some over, our coffees were COLD. It took a while for our waitress to return and take our breakfast orders, but shortly after she did, my guest saw my breakfast being placed under a heat lamp. He said it sat there for close to 15 minutes until his big pancake breakfast was ready and watched as the waitress bringing both plates over. So while his breakfast was steaming hot, my crab eggs benedict was hammered/cooked all the way through, the crab meat was BROWN and had a metalic aftertaste, the home fries were greasy, flavorless and quickly dropped to room temerature. My guests pancakes were hot, but he later told me were FLAVORLESS and HEAVY. I had to ask another waitress to get our waitress so I could show her that my eggs were hard while my potatoes quickly turned as cold as the table. The waitress took my plate and ordered another crab benedict breakfast, BUT IT NEVER CAME! My guest finished his big breakfast and pushed his plate aside. So now we were both left waiting and waiting with cold coffee until we ran out of time. I had to ask another waitress to get our waitress again to cancel my breakfast. The manager came over and apologized. She said I wouldn't have to pay for my breakfast. WELL, I NEVER ATE ANYTHING!!! This was our 3rd and probably last visit to the Eggs Up Grill. Each time was a miserable combination of bad service, bad food, and now a bad environment. The cooks and servers need re-trained and require a manager's oversight. I'm still getting over the fact that I had to drive myself and my guest to the neighboring McDonalds for a hot, tasty breakfast. Leland deserve better. read more

We came here after being treated rudely and waiting almost an hour for a table at "The Farmhouse" after being told 20-25 min with no follow up or acknowledgement we were still waiting. We left there and arrived at Eggs Up Grill where they were PACKED. We expected to wait at least the min of 20 min like the sweet, welcoming hostess told us. Order ready for pickup at 11:21 a.m.. Didn't receive our food until 12:01 p.m, 40 minutes after it was deemed ready.. They definitely need to hire cooks or bussers because the lady at the front was also the only one cleaning tables, so there was a crowd of people waiting for tables.. Additionally, they forgot the coffee for our order so we didn't even receive everything we ordered. To top it off, the hot coffees to go that they were making as I watched were placed into styrofoam cups which is known to be carcinogenic. Styrofoam leaches styrene when heated which is pretty bad neurologically and can cause cancer. read more

Let me be the first to review the new Eggs Up Grill in Leland. We were frequent diners at the Eggs Up in Pawleys Island when we lived there. To the point that they did not give us a menu when we walked in because they knew what we were going to order. It appears that the server, that we had today, will be as diligent in remembering details. Her name was Annie and it was her first day, but you would never know it. One of the best service we have ever had. Great bright atmosphere and reasonably prize compared to other, restaurants in the area. Also don't feel crowded next to other diners. I have been to the Eggs Up Grill location in Leland numerous times in the past and I never had an issue until my most recent visit. I had a party of three that was seated for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was busy but we got a booth quickly and the waitress came by to take our order. After that we sat for over 20 minutes and never saw her again. The customer behind us even commented that she never even brought our drinks after 15 minutes. I saw that our waitress was getting pick up orders ready at the counter so I guess she was too busy to bring us our food. We eventually got up and walked out. I told the hostess why we were leaving and she apologized. I left a negative Yelp review and then received a response from a manager named Jason who offered me a free breakfast if I would give them another chance. I am happy to report that I went back to the Eggs Up Grill in Leland and had a great meal and received excellent service this time around. This is a prime example of how to turn an unhappy customer into a happy customer by simply responding to feedback, admitting your mistake and attempting to make things right. Omg ... incredible! I was nervous based on prior reviews but this place is a new favorite! Destinee was our server and was just incredible. I can be annoying and want multiple drinks like soda and coffee and she had ample refills quickly. The food was AMAZING. I understand this place is fairly new but they've got a few things they need to work on. We got there and there was a 30 minute wait. We know that's pretty typical as there aren't many breakfast sit down restaurants in the area. So we waited. Once we sat down, it took another 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge or walk past us to offer water or take our orders. At that point we were getting pretty annoyed. The waitress showed up and apologized because she said the hostess never told her we were a part of her area. So we gave her our orders. My husband got a custom omelette with 3 meat portions. He was a little underwhelmed because he figured if he was going to add that many ingredients, he'd get a nice fat omelette but it was very thin. So he had to order an additional 4 sausage patties. We waited a while and the waitress came by and asked if the sausages ever showed up. We said no, so a few mins later, she went and got them. Additionally, we both had home fries and they were cut too big so instead of crispy home fries, we got boiled potatoes with seasoning. Hopefully this place can work out the kinks as Leland desperately needs more brunch spots! read more
