Worst brisket I've ever had. Getting it this color should be studied. Not sure if I caught them on a bad day because the reviews looked promising. But walking in at 5:15 PM on a Friday and being the only customer there should've been my cue to leave. I don't know who's keeping this place in business, but relying on the patronage of customers who don't know any better seems like a poor business model. On the positive side, the sauces and fries were good.

Mash and cheese. Too liquidy for me.

First time here. I saw they were doing a special this month: pulled pork sandwich, a side and a drink for $5!! First, walking in, the space is open and clean. There is a large menu on the back wall. Service was fast and friendly. The people working were all very nice and seemed happy to be working there. Along the back wall there is also a line up of bbq sauces, some pickles, jalapeños and onions to add to your sandwich and then the drink station. Above the bbq sauce is a great description of each type of sauce they have. For my side I ordered the Mac and cheese and got a sweet tea for my drink. The food came out very fast. I chose the sweet bbq sauce and apparently didn't snap the lid on all the way because when I opened my bag after throwing my sauce in there there was sauce everywhere! So make sure to snap on those lids! That was my fault tho. Now for the food. The sandwich was piled high with pulled pork. I didn't get to put on as much bbq sauce as I would have liked because most of it was in the bottom of the bag but from the little bit left in my container it was a very good sauce and went well with the pork. I did think the pork was a little dry but the flavors were great and I added coleslaw to it so that gave it a little crunch. I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese at all. If I was to stop here again I'd go with something else, probably the hush puppies. The Mac and cheese was more like a cheese soup with noodles. It was so liquidy. It just wasn't the kind of Mac and cheese I like. Maybe some people like it like this. It's just not for me. I ended up throwing it out after a couple bites. The sweet tea was on point! Definitely the right amount of sugar. I'd come here again to try a few other items.

First time trying The Smokehouse at Monkey Junction and it was great! What was even better was the deal they were running for February - you got a pulled pork sandwich, side, slaw and a drink for only $5! That's insane this day and age. I would definitely go back on the regular, make sure you get the cinnamon butter for the hushpuppies, it's like dessert!

Service was friendly and food was good. Table seating is limited. They were not slammed at peak dinner time but had a steady amount of families dining in and ordering take out.

Pulling up to a barbecue restaurant that was in a strip mall we were a little skeptical but let me be the first to say this was absolutely wonderful smoked meat. The barbecue was tender and moist as was the brisket. The tenders were okay but not as good as the rest. The homemade chips were delicious as were all the sides! This is one of the restaurants where you can tell the owner cares about his food and it truly shows. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the service quick. Highly recommend!

It is always a treat having lunch here. We just love the friendly owner, who preps all your food…read morehimself, to order. It is an unassuming little place in a strip mall that serves Maine lobster and all the ways you can have it. Our fave lobster roll, it's the epitome of Maine, what I love most about visiting Maine. They offer it four ways. I love the Rockland roll. Bits of chopped onions, celery with huge chunks of lobster meat stuffed into a buttery top sliced New England bun and toasted. This option is cold lobster and you can taste the freshness of the meat. You get a delicious side of Cole slaw that is so fresh. I can't speak for too much of the menu other than the chowder, so delish. The rolls come in three sizes. The bun remains the same, it is by the weight of the lobster meat that changes: half, whole, hearty. I have had the Mainah which has the bit of mayo on it, the half portion. I do enjoy the crunch in the Rockland. That is my recommendation, but try each and decide. I haven't tried the dessert or the bowls, but I imagine they are amazing too. The one thing I don't leave without is a whoopie pie. There is a huge freezer case of them in various flavors. From Maine, of course. Overall, great experience here. An authentic Maine spot in Wilmington. Don't miss this place. 5 stars

If you're coming for the lobster, you will not be disappointed. The lobster here was fabulous!…read more Just know going in that this spot is best for takeout. The shop itself is tiny with only a few tables, and because the food quality is so good, it's definitely a popular place. You may have to wait a bit, so maybe not the best choice if you're in a big hurry. The couple running the shop were incredibly sweet and made the experience even better. I had the Portland Lobster Roll and loved it. Next time, though, I definitely want to try the Stonington Roll -- lobster warmed in butter. My daughter ordered it and it looked absolutely amazing. I will definitely return the next time I visit Wilmington!

You walk into Fish Bites hoping it's still the same place you've trusted over the years--and I'll…read moresay it right up front: it is. Maybe even a touch better. The Food We went straight for what matters. * Chilean Sea Bass -- cooked right, flaky, moist, and seasoned without trying to show off. That's how it's supposed to be done. No nonsense, just good fish handled properly. * Fish Bites (house specialty) -- lightly battered, crispy without being greasy, and paired with both Thai chili and tartar sauces. That combo works. You don't fix what isn't broken, and thankfully they didn't. * Ponzu Tuna Tacos -- these were the standout. Fresh, flavorful, balanced. The ponzu brings just enough bite without overpowering the tuna. If you're going there and skip these, that's on you. Sides held their own--fresh vegetables with a good sauté, and coleslaw that didn't taste like it came out of a tub somewhere in the back. Service Our server, Kali (K-A-L-I), did things the old-school way--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. That's getting rare these days, and it's worth mentioning. Value Two people, solid seafood, no corners cut: $67.15 total. In today's world? That's not just fair--that's impressive. Final Take New ownership can sometimes mean a place loses its identity. That didn't happen here. Fish Bites still delivers what made it a favorite--fresh seafood, straightforward preparation, and consistency. If anything, they've tightened things up just enough to notice
