Parking was great. That's always my number one concern anywhere but I forgot we are in the country so there's always extra land for parking. Here it is both paved and unpaved parking. Line was long but the ladies were patient in taking orders. Smaller orders came out fast and the pretzel was the best deal there. Easy to find tables inside and outside was a bit of a gamble because the sun was fierce but there was a nice breeze. Big kids play area in a field so far from the tables. 50% of the people were watching their kids which I was not impressed by. You don't get a vacation from parenting. Hot food from the food trailer took a bit to come out but the girl back there was working her butt off. The orders were coming in in large amounts because groups of people kept showing up. Wow. We happened upon this place on our trip from Houston and can't stop talking about it. We tried two flights and each beer was phenomenal. My personal favorites were the bitter highway and the cherub rock. The bartender was so friendly and so proud of the beers. We loved all of the seating inside and outside and the huge parking lot. Trivia tonight was a blast. Most days there is either music or an event. Basic bar menu that rotates. I think they're finished having the food truck rotation, instead having a dedicated cook/chef on staff. If it's your first time or the first time in a while, go for a flight to check out some variety. They also have cider, mimosas, wine, and seltzers on tap. No white claw here... all craft made! We took a walk after lunch and came to visit BVB. I've had their beers before but this is my first time to the brewery. I got a flight, my fiancé got the cherrie lime seltzer. The seltzer was refreshing and not overly sweet. We sampled the watermelon jalapeño seltzer too (I like it), but she preferred the cherrie lime and I got the beer. The texas two step Pilsner was really flavorful. If you've not had it, like me, give it a try. And of course you can't go wrong with Momma Tried, their flagship beer. I'm sorry to say I don't remember the gentleman helping us at the bar, but he's genuinely friendly and we had some fun conversation with him. Really enjoyed the seating and atmosphere at BVBC. It's a great spot for the family to bring kiddos or doggy and enjoy an afternoon. The day we were there there was a crawfish food truck and it was VERY good. It is my understanding that there is a food truck option most days, as well as snacks served in-house. I've heard good things about the pretzel, but haven't tried it. My biggest disappointment was in the beer. My husband and I each had a flight and had difficulty finding a beer we both liked. I went to sit down and one of the brewers, David, invited us in for a look at the process. We got to see the wort in whirlpool spinning around. Then he took me up to see the boil kettle contents. I really enjoy this spot! It has a great set up with a good amount of seating inside, where you can overlook the very-well kept brewery workings. I would give this a solid 4 stars. I had their blonde, Killin Time and my wife had Seven Spanish Angels Coffee Ale. We liked both, but weren't in love with either. We tried the Suma Babushka and it was thick, it would take a special pallet for that beer. I think if you were an IPA or Porter beer drinker you would really love this place. The staff was excellent even though it was about 35 degrees and the wind blowing 20 miles an hour. We still had a good time under the patio heaters and met some very nice people that had also stopped in on this cold day. I would like to try it again on a warmer, sunnier day. FYI: There is no indoor seating, it's just patio seating. So if it's cold you have to depend on the patio heaters and the fire pit. I would hope they would think about closing in the covered part with some plastic that can be rolled up or down for those really cold days. read more

Life is good at Brazos Valley Brewing! Everyone there is always smiling, laughing, and having a great time. The beer selection is great and they have some local wines available. My first visit was in August and even though I sat outside in the bar area, if was a nice comfortable temperature. This time, we stopped in January 19, 2019. It was cold with 24 mph winds! The heaters were on and that helped. Also the bar/serving area has three walls, so the wind wasn't too bad. They had a pop-up shop with clothes and jewelry, and a band playing today. Enjoy the great outdoors especially in late fall through early spring! They only serve pretzels and nachos there, but they bring in a food truck. When we were there, it was Dapper Bear. I felt like I was in someone's backward, but I got a flight and everything in it was really good and refreshing. When you first arrive into a gravel parking lot surrounded by tin industrial buildings, you may wonder what you're doing there. Once you get behind the building in front of you the place takes on a completely different ambiance. There are several clean well kept picnic tables under a pergola. There are cafe lights and a small stage for music on weekends. The music is not overly loud so conversation is easy. Some people were playing games or cards. There is a bag toss game set up for people to use as well as a large grassy play area for kids with play equipment for the little ones to enjoy. Heaters are set up outside if the weather is a little chilly. There were many families with young kids so it's a fun family atmosphere at a place where friends and neighbors can meet and have a beer while the kids play. An excellent food truck was available with good (bar) food. There is also an industrial type inside bar that's very inviting. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Third stop in my friends bachelorette wine/brewery tour. I had called about 2 weeks ahead of time to make sure they would be able to accommodate a large group of 14 and ask for a tour. In order to keep the theme of "wine tasting" going I decided that we would do a beer tasting. I asked if someone would be able to go over the different beers if we all got a flight. I was told they would have no problem accommodating us and would be more than happy to do a tour and talk about the different beers with us. The brewery is cute and cozy. There are plenty of places to take pictures which the girls took full advantage of. Interactive live music was a plus! Even with the heads up that we were coming they really were not prepared for such a large group. They took quite a while to get all the flights out. We waited a while for someone to come and talk about the different beers and no one came until we asked about it again. To be honest the description of each beer was kept to the bare minimum and was not informative at all. Beer was delicious though. The tour on the other hand was GREAT! The young lady that did the tour was lively and supper informative. Checking out was a bit of a pain because everything was done on one tab. We dropped the ball on not letting them know it was separate initially, but it shouldn't have taken so long to fix the issue. At the end our tab was picked up by a local! He was the real MVP! Overall not ideal for large crowds and customer service wasn't all that great. What really made our time at the brewery pleasant was the location, our tour, the live music and the LOCALS! read more
