We got the original fried chicken, which is basically a chicken cut up into pieces so you get a little bit of everything of a whole chicken. This recipe is still crispy, we got the honey soy sauce on the side, and that sauce is amazing! We ended up ordering more. We also got the crispy wings, those are double fried and definitely have lots of crisp! Every piece was hot and fresh, very juicy and a perfect seasoning. We also ordered some fries that had a powdered cheese on them and the guy did let us know it was a sweet cheese, but I was definitely not expecting that much sweet. Honestly they were not my favorite, it's very strange to have a sweet powdered cheese on french fries. I was not a fan, but my husband liked them. And lastly, is the slaw and the pickled radish that they bring out, I liked those very much and they gave a perfect balance and touch of acid against the wings and the richness of the sauce. A smooth mix of EDM with reworked classics kept the energy up without overwhelming the space. Paired with a solid sound system, it elevated the entire experience. On the drinks side, there's a bit of a split. The signature cocktail menu is solid and clearly the focus, but for a speakeasy-style bar, the overall selection feels a little limited. I did appreciate seeing El Tesoro Reposado and Blanco on hand; always a good sign. I went with an Old Fashioned using the reposado, and my date had a Paloma with the blanco (based on a prep recommendation). Both were well-executed, and the bartender was accommodating and easygoing, which goes a long way. Service was smooth and quick, and we lucked out with seats at the bar at least for a while. Fair warning: around 11pm, they clear out the bar seating as the crowd builds. It shifts the energy again toward more of a standing-room, nightlife feel, but if you can snag one of the couches, you're in a good spot. Overall, Pink Shark has a lot going for it and even more potential. The speakeasy element is easily its strongest feature, and I'd love to see that identity pushed further especially with a deeper, more classic-leaning cocktail list (think Black Manhattan or a proper Boulevardier). I was invited out for a friends birthday party to go dancing here. An elderly man who seemed either really drunk or on something else started moving in on our table, staring me down and standing way too close. Just as I was asking him to back up and give us some space one of the service staff walked by. He noticed the interaction and checked in with me to see if everything was ok. I told him I'd just asked the guy to back off and he let me know if needed we could ask the security guard to intervene. After another half hour or so of the man continuing to hover near us one of the security guards tapped me on the back letting me know they had been watching the guy stare at me and had decided to ask him to leave. I was blown away by this gesture, knowing they were really looking out for my safety that way. I want to say thank you to the staff for paying attention and prioritizing their customers wellbeing like that. Plus, it seemed like good vibes overall, everyone was dancing and having fun together. Big respect to the crew for keeping it fun and safe!

Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned.
