A week and half later I called tru lite and its was being held up. I would fallow up once a week cause chris sanchaz, the owners son (manager), wouldn't bother to update me. This went on for a month. Meanwhile there's and open whole in my living room with fireplace surrounding sitting there. All I wanted was updates so I too could inform my framers about when to finalize their work but only once at the 5th week did Chris send me an email the day before I called to learn it was on its way. The fireplace was missing a part and the one sent was the incorrect one, again I would have to be calling or going to shop to get updates. during the process I learned not to leave messages because they would not return my calls. I was never rude or upset during my communication. Finally the fireplace was installed And I asked Ruben, the owner, if he be able to turn it on and set up my logs. I be willing to pay him. he said he would get to it that day or the next. It's been 5 days he has been unresponsive. I'm at the end and so looking forward to finishing this installation. My plumber detected a tiny gas leak in the connections with some electronic device they use. I'm not taking about my gas line connection I mean inside the workings of the fireplace. Agaian Chris emailed me the usual response. We've been so busy but I'll get to it. I have programmed the remote, set up the brick panels and was about to conclude finish till gas leak. I'm a carpenter and done entire wiring in homes so I have some understanding of mechanics. I have purchased several fireplaces from perfection fireplace and they are highly responsive and thorough in executing purchase, installation and finalization of set up. unfortunately I need a fireplace size they had trouble getting for me so I went to tru lite. Y god that was a mistake and I feared it would be but decided to take my business to them. They were pretty much equal in price as everyone else just so unprofessional. I didnt want to repair that leak for fear of undermining the warranty even though I can fix it But we are tired of the mess in our family room. i paid For the fireplace around 3/5/25 and it's now 5/25 fireplace not done. I purchased the slimline fireplace from perfection 3/10 and finalized 3 weeks later. This is only my second post of a review my whole life and sad it's been a bad one.

Couple of years ago, we had the first of three companies come at take a look at our fireplace. That company couldn't figure anything out. The second company made multiple attempts to start it up and again it didn't work at all. Finally! Tru-Lite came to the rescue in April of 2022. First off, the technician figured out the exact problem. Also figured out what parts to order and in the process got the master bedroom fireplace to work as well. The biggest problem wasn't with Tru-Lite but the manufacturer of the part. It took them nearly 10 months to get the part made due to a parts shortage. Technology can be a fickle beast. Now I'm not the easiest person to deal with, especially when it comes to patience of getting something finished and fixed. To say the office manager was tolerant is an understatement. Always in contact and listening to me venting about how long could a part take to make. Needless to say the moment the part came in, they came over to the house and got the fireplace running. It's been nice during the cold spell to have heat in a room that is constantly colder then all the other rooms in the house. If fully recommended this company.

Could we have spent less at a big box store? Yes, but we wouldn't have this high quality, beautiful furniture and we'd also probably need to replace the big box furniture in 5 years or so, meaning we'd eventually spend about the same we spent at Chair King. Plus, there would be no one to stand behind the big box furniture should a problem arise. In short, save yourself some time and just go to Chair King in Memorial first! That is far from the truth. On 11/9/19 I purchased a St. Thomas GX6 *Travertine with the lights and the trimmings from the Richmond, TX location. I purchased this model with the lights solely because I was told that they would be covered under warranty. Come to find out, that is also far from the truth. I paid a little over 10k to have this set delivered to my home as quickly as possible as stated on the contract "ASAP." I was told that it would be delivered and installed before Thanksgiving of that same month. Come to find out, they were behind. Then the driver did not show up, then the welding guy that was supposed to put in the additional door could not come out for some reason. Regardless of going back and forth with Sales Manager, Justin Farmer the time frame was not kept as promised. My family came to my home with a back porch and pergola with no backyard kitchen. Alright, no worries, I guess I must just take it for what it is. No one bothered to offer anything for compensation, no drawers, accessories, nothing. Oh well. The job was not complete until mid-August. So, I could not hang out with the family on my porch either for my son's birthday August 12th. Really screwed that one up, customer service could not help, I contacted leadership, and no one did nothing. Just the regular old SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). My wife was/is livid being that we did not have what we paid for ($10,000) for the family gatherings of that year and let me know that we had spent 10k only to get the back end of the stick. I defended Paradise Grills in saying, we paid for the delivery and the lifetime warranty and that I was confident we would not get jerked around on the warranty. Now, I let it go because eventually everything was delivered and installed after about 13 phone calls and a few inbox messages to leadership of Paradise Grills. Today 4/12/2021, I call in about the light associated with my grill that is inside and I was told that I had to purchase one (Phillips G4 bipin 12-volt 20-watt halogen), and that it was not covered under the warranty. Nor the lights on my St. Thomas Bar system. Ok fine, I'll buy the 25-dollar light bulb, but I also mentioned that the light cover is in front of the light bulb on the inside was cracked and blackened. "Oh, yeah that isn't covered either." I responded immediately verbatim what the sales manager, Justin Farmer told me and that what was confirmed in the showroom as I was purchasing. I was then told, that "it says clearly in the manual that comes with the Grill that it is not covered. "Well, Mr. Customer Service, you know when I get to get my hands on one of those manuals, when the grill is delivered AFTER THE PURCHASE." Also remember that the Backyard Setup was delivered a month after the purchase in which I no longer have the 30 days to take it back at that point so I would have been screwed either way. These are all facts, and the fact is that there is no lifetime warranty and you can get the same grill and work done at your home for much less purchasing from Paradise Grills. I hope that leadership gets a hold of this message and that it helps future purchasers from getting hustled like I did. I should have just had a custom job done in my backyard so that it adds value to my house and attached as real property. Do not be conned by sales folks saying that it will add value to your home. This also is a lie.
