The receptionist and the check out clerk were kind, friendly and informative. They contacted and had everything ready for my insurance claim. But the most kiddos goes to Brittany, the hygienist. This was the most thorough x-rays, exam and cleaning I've had in a long time. She was so sweet. She listened to this old woman prattle on. I did stop while the cleaning was being done. My teeth haven't felt cleaner in a long time. I must confess it's been four years since seeing a dental hygienist and I've had some good ones, but Brittany is up there with the best. I'm Sitting in the waiting room - so far over an hour past our scheduled time. Apparently, there's only one dentist and one assistant on staff. Clients who's appointments were scheduled after us are being called back. I'm confused. And the young lady at the front desk was snarky the whole time. Not just to me, but listening to her conversations on the phone as well. Update : An hour and half later and we have been brought back. The dentist is doing the actual exam AND the cleaning. No Hygienist on staff. The dentist, as sweet as he is, we can tell he is really overwhelmed. We religiously have dental cleanings every six months. And this is the worst my daughters gums have bled ... EVER. He was so rough with the scraping and it didn't seem like he took his time. No polish. She's 16 years old and sitting in the car in tears. He said she's going to need her wisdom teeth out, and They gave us a referral to see an oral surgeon outside of the office... Since they don't have an oral surgeon on staff (despite what the website states). I didnt make another appoint. I feel like we're going to change dentist office within the same network and drive over 45 minutes away. (Also if you're looking for a dentist that takes Medicaid... I overheard them several times turning patients away. The dentist is not qualified to take Medicaid. I guess Humana was telling them the dentist is authorized? these poor elderly clients took a city bus to get there - just to be told the dentist isn't quailed to see them. )
