I used to come here all the time and get the exterior and interior cleaned, lately it seems like they rush cleaning the inside and aren't as efficient. For what I spend it sucks to have to go behind them and clean it further and it's minor spots they could've easily gotten had they not be in such a rush. I could understand if the stalls were packed with clients but for only two people they could be more spot on. They also broke a piece off my rear view mirror, I had to have it replaced but I know they're trying just minor improvements needed. read more

I was very hesitant to get my car detailed because it's still new in my eyes (it's three years old) and I'm very particular with my car and how it's handled. I found this place on Yelp and I happened to be in the area so my husband and I came and we were genuinely surprised. The are pretty reasonable with their prices but since it was my first time detailing my car, we went with the $24 dollar package (there was a lot included in it) and a car wax for an additional $3. Overall, our experience was pretty good. As soon as my car went through the car wash and it was time for the detailing, I had three people start cleaning it immediately. They used cloth to hand wipe the car after the wash, cleaned my windows inside, vacuumed my car (which it needed so badly), and did a few other things to get the car ready. All together, it took about 30 minutes for the wash, wax, and detail which isn't bad at all. We did give them tip (they didn't ask for it and weren't looking for it) of $10 for all their help in making my car look brand new. My only complaint was I had two black marks on the back seats (it wasn't there before and I'm assuming it happened due to vacuuming) but one of the guys cleaned it quickly which was nice. read more

Got my car washed and detailed a couple weeks ago; finally getting around to writing the review. My car was in great need of interior tlc! When I called to inquire, Phil was very helpful in providing information and answering all my questions. I took my car on a Sunday morning, was the first one there. I got the interior package and paid 135$. Was planning on getting the car waxed but Phil explained that it was not really worth getting the wax given the poor paint condition of the car. He was very thorough in explaining the process. He was definitely not looking to make extra $$ but rather interested in his customer making an informed decision. Really really appreciate that. I thought I had taken all the car out but completely forgot about a few items. I was very impressed with how detailed they were. They even got all the coins from one of my middle compartment and placed them in the bag! The time took less than they had initially stated...only three hours. Phil and his wife Terri were both wonderful. This is a "mom and pop" shop, with attention to detail and customers. I was looking to sell my truck and unsure how much detailing it needed to be presentable. Terri explained what they do, while Phil inspected the truck and gave his recommendation on what mattered based on my budget. It was so clean afterwards, it actually sold in literally less than a day. Even funnier, I recommended Texas Star to my parents who had each been taking their own cars here for a few years, without telling one another! Very unfriendly gentleman working the car wash. Made me feel awkward because I had a Mister car wash membership sticker on my window, which we have because we travel a lot and can use it all over the country. I bought the $13 wash and paid for an interior clean. When I got in the car, I noticed the cup holders were not cleaned, maybe had been vacuumed at best. The gentleman from the car wash came over and rudely told me that's not included in the service I paid for, and that was detailing and then proceeded to walk off, not offering to even explain how I could upgrade to that service. Wow!!!! My truck looks so good I don't even want to take it and trade it in!!!! They have it looking brand new. I had, like an idiot, put black rubber pieces down the doors to protect them. In this heat, all the did was melt and leave black sticky residue all down the edge of all the doors. They managed to get it all off. I also have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs that shed all over, when they finished, there isn't a dog hair to be seen. I highly recommend them and will be back to use this again very soon!!! read more

My 3 dogs spent over a year shedding in my Subaru, and it was long overdue for a good cleaning. The folks doing the cleaning were very good at their jobs and hard-working. Overall impression: Great service, great experience, can't beat the price. Price: $5 for baseline exterior (just going thru the machine) and they let you use the vacuums for free. $10-20 for different detail packages. I've been here twice and these guys are always so nice. They don't pressure you at all to get the more expensive package deals (although of course that's really how they survive, in sure). I actually apologized because I was only getting the $5 deal and the guy helping me actually stopped, smiled at me, and said "hey you don't have to apologize at all". The machine does a decent job and I have no complaints about it at all. I love that they have free vacuums available. They will also do it for you for a little extra. Unfortunately I can't comment on the detail service, having never tried it yet, but I'm sure it's very good. The guys here all seem very professional and polite. The Best Car Wash Period! I've passed by this location 100's of times but never tried their services until recently. Without a doubt one of the hardest working couples I've ever witnessed. I have a company truck that has a far from perfect exterior, but they made it look great. Lots of hands on wiping and attention to detail. This car wash is the best in the Bay Area and it is because of the owners Phil and his wife Tammy. First, even though the building has been there a while, the the machinery is basically brand new. The wash tunnel gets the car cleaner than anywhere else I've gone in the area and really anywhere else I've been in Houston. The trouble spots that might cause problems are pre-cleaned very well, and Phil obviously puts in a great effort keeping the automated system running great. It also feels like the wash tunnel is not pummeling the car like some other systems do. I feel fine taking my car there once a week or more when the weather is crummy. Second, the owners are right there working with all the employees and that dedicated oversight really shows. The service here from everyone is top notch. You never see people standing around waiting for instructions, if a car is in line, or waiting to get hand dried everyone is busy getting stuff done. And that leads me to the third thing, they are super fast. If I go here M-Th, I rarely have to wait for longer than one other car to go through the wash, and afterwards it takes less than a few mins to get a thorough dry that I know won't have missed a spot. It's kind of like that commercial where they say it's not how fast you go, it's about how well you go fast, and these guys do it very well. On Friday - Sunday, I've been in a line as long as 4-5 cars and I'd say it's about 4Xs as fast as the old place I went, for a total of about 15 mins from first pull up to drive out on road, and I think that's great. I'm used to a 1 hour wait time on the weekends at most full service places. Forth, picking the cheapest place around is usually a great way to get disappointed, but this place has a lot of value for how little they change. I think the basic wash is $5, (that's a better cost and results than gas station washing machines and much cheaper than any other human staffed places around), so that's great for how good it looks after and having free access to unlimited self vacuums. The added washes and waxes are also good value, my personal favorite is getting an exterior monthly subscription where you can just go whenever the car looks a little dirty, and you can upgrade the wash whenever you want for a few bucks so they will do the inside as well. Why are you still reading this review, If you've read all the way to the bottom of this, you could have been done with your car wash and going along your way, head over there and get your car washed! Like I said, this place is the best car wash around, and I doubt you'll be disappointed if you use them. PS - What are you still doing here, the review is over... Get your car washed... DO NOT. I REPAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR WASH. I've visited this car wash only one time, and it did severe damage to my bumper on the back of my car. The equipment that they use is not up to standard, and the bristles are very hard and harsh. I even had trouble getting on the tracks when I was at their car wash. Whenever the damage was done to my car, management seemed not to care, leaving me with my car saying that they had other cars coming through the car wash. I have called many times trying to find a resolution, but they keep saying that someone will call me back, but they never do. A woman who works there tried to tell me that my car was probably already faulty and they would not take any responsibility for the damage. I get my car washed several times a week and this has never happened. I am beyond disappointed. I decided to support a local family owned business, and this is how they treated me. I'm sticking to corporate run businesses from now on. On top of all of this, they didn't even offer to refund my car washed after my car was damaged. read more

Well I'm sadden that my 2nd visit in a different vehicle isn't as super as my 1st visit. The inside cleaning is good, the tires are shining and the car is clean not as clean as I anticipated from my previous visit but better than I have the energy to have done on my own today. My disappointment is that I ended up with scratches to my passenger window and Yes I get it the cloths in the wash bay are soft but particle/dirt/rocks/debris transfer is possible from the machines in bay and or dirt from previous vehicles. Sure soft cloths are used to hand dry and clean jams and Windows and again there presents opportunity for transfer they should be sure to use different cloths for outside and inside during service not one cloth to finish the job. I know the scratches came from this visit because the vehicle is less than 1 week old and 1 of the scratches really caught my eye as soon as I sat in and checked my surroundings. If it was there before I would have noticed because I Always need to look that way to check the traffic on my passenger side so it's not like a back windshield or rear door glass that could have already been there and I never noticed. Well at any rate I was only told it takes a diamond to scratch glass and since there aren't diamonds at the car wash have a nice day. Well lesson learned, moving on to self cleaning or try once more with a neighborhood local business who advertises hand wash and will ask if they can not use same cloth to clean/dry outside of car as used to wipe down dash then also not use it to clean windows... Yesterday I went to a car wash I had used for years and they wanted to charge me extra for dog hair so I left. I took my car to Texas Star today and they did a phenomenal job. I wanted the seats shampooed and there were stains I hadn't been able to get out myself and those stains were gone. My car is so clean. I am very impressed. Went to get the interior of my car cleaned out and they did a superb job. I was the only weirdo there on a rainy day so it only took about 90 minutes to do the interior package. I've had to wait well over 3-4 hours before at other places for interior detailing. I wasn't able to really look at it until today but everything is very clean I can tell they took care to pay attention to details. There a bunch of car washes on Bay Area that are always packed and do an ok job. They take a little extra care here and are rarely Packed. They did a great job with my wheels. Other places down the street always seem to leave them foggy. For 22 bucks I got the inside outside and extra polish for the chrome wheels. I also got in and out quick. Over all a pretty good experience. Could be a little better organized and a little nicer waiting room but hey you don't wait long. Will be coming back. read more

It just so happens I had 2 vehicles to take to get washed today. The first stop with my truck went to another car wash. I paid $4 more and had to wait much longer. This place is a hidden gem...literally. It does not show up on google maps and it is kinda hidden with a small sign. So head to the Putt Putt place and avoid the draw to go in and play miniature golf with screaming children, and head next door to the car wash. The prices are pretty awesome. I got the $22 service, which I think was the 3rd of 5 options..each getting more stuff done. The machine wash cleaned it very well and one would not even need detailing done after that, but alas I decided to get that anyway. The detailing was done extremely quick and was done well before I expected it. The staff was ultrafast and the truck actually turned out better than the one I had done elsewhere. read more

You have to be looking for this place - the driveway to enter is immediately after Putt Putt Fun House on Nasa Rd 1. It is a pretty standard car wash, a bit more expensive than other drive thru washes, but they get 4 stars for offering a $2 hand dry option after you drive through - haven't seen his available any place else. The lady that dried our SUV off did such a good job I tipped her an extra $5 because she deserved it. Worth a try if you're in the area with a dirty car! read more
