The physicians here are great. The staff is super helpful. Tho the glasses are not cheap at all. This isn't any fault of their own since they are just selling what they get from the big companies that make them and suggest the prices. The location is large and clean, sits in a strip mall, very bright inside, has lots of windows. Place was fairly busy while we were there in the late morning. Exam was quick and thorough. I'm not the kind of girl to just show up in a random Dr.'s office. I do research. I'm rather picky. So I'll save you the trouble. The best reviews and the best price were found here. Your first visit is more expensive but after you shell out the ($139 for a contact exam) you will only pay ($89...again for contacts) which is very comparable to Walmart & Luck (both of which are the cheapest and have the worst reviews.) The staff is super friendly. I didn't hardly have to wait to be seen. Juan checked my eyes in a little machine in the hall and then asked me some questions before Dr. Gracey promptly came in for my exam. On Tuesday 01/19/21, I broke my glasses and had to be at work in 30 minutes, I stopped at State Optical, no appointment, and I did not know that they had covid safety precautions set up, there I stood outside looking at the list of things I would have to do before I could even be seen, when door open and the doctor step out to ask me what I needed, I gave him my glasses and said I broke them, he said, I can fix, asked me to come in and have a seat, he fixed my glasses in no time. I made an appointment for my daughter 3 weeks ago. My daughter has been a previous patient of TSO. They knew the type of insurance that she had and they knew they had changed their doctors and that they no longer accepted or no longer could use certain types of insurance. Instead of telling me did they had a new doctor and that they no longer accepted certain types of insurance when I made the appointment they waited not a week not two weeks but three weeks to tell me they could not see my daughter. Not only did they tell me three weeks after I made the appointment but they told me on a Friday at 5 p.m. the day before or the business day before the Monday of her appointment. Has any patient of any doctor knows this would be charged to the patient if I was to have canceled like that now I am still trying to find a doctor. I had asked off my job specifically to have this doctor's appointment I was not able to cancel my day-off and have yet been able to find a doctor for her to go to. I believe that the TSO in Cleburne has no respect for other people's time let alone for their patients only serve time in the doctor is important to them not their patients or common courtesy. This Business Is Not Disabled-Friendly. When I called the store in the week before visiting, I asked if they were wheelchair accessible and was told "yes, via a ramp." I arranged an appointment to come in & have my glasses rx filled on a Tuesday. At the prompt time for my appt. we arrived wearing our surgical masks & discovered the shopping strip had 1 narrow wheelchair ramp at the far end of the center. The day was quickly becoming wet and icy. We parked near the ramp and I called the optical store to ask for help for my husband to get me & my wheelchair up the ramp. They said they would send someone while I waited. After sitting in my wheelchair and freezing for 25-30 minutes, we called multiple times and got no answer. We finally gave up and got in our car to leave. They then called us & said they hoped we didn't think they forgot us, but were busy with a customer and would get to us. My husband curtly said that this level of customer svce. was unacceptable & we would take our business elsewhere. read more
