My husband and I were on a road trip and found Texas Steakhouse and decided to stop for dinner. It had plenty of parking and ample in door seating available. This is a casual place. The menu has many different cuts of steak with various toppers and sides. We were met at the table by our waitress in minutes. Service was fast and friendly. I had the fillet mignon with a baked sweet potato and salad with honey mustard dressing. The steak was tender and delicious. The baked potato was huge and tender. I got a steak with fries and a salad. Steak was cooked fine but little to no seasoning and blah. Fries were a borderline send back for being cold. Stopped at Texas Steakhouse while traveling back to Pittsburgh. The food was pretty decent. Not great, but certainly not bad. The prices are reasonable. Loaded baked potato soup was very greasy. It tasted like it was made with chicken broth. The signature ribeye was thin. It reminded me of the steaks we used to get in the Navy, only worse. They served margarine, instead of butter, with their rolls. Mashed potatoes were cold, so the waitress gave me another serving. My fiancés steak (ordered medium) was very rare - even the waitress said it was rare. The booth was a bit wobbly. It could use some repairs. We went on a Monday evening, and the place wasn't crowded. Which saves me a trip to the jerky store in the morning. The wild rice was crunchy and the fries were mushy. The baked potato was the only saving grace. Where do I begin with this one? We were returning from my wife's Dad's funeral and were in need of a normal, decent dinner. What we got was a whole bunch of being ignored. We were sat in a section with us and a group of 30. Yup, our waitress decided to work on them instead of us for the entire meal. We got our coffee and ordered steak and then only saw her once during the entire meal. I had to order the mushrooms with another waitress, she never asked for more coffee, and when asked late in the meal (when she was in earshot) then told us she had to make it. She brought it at the very end in a DIRTY CUP. Disgusting. My wife said it was rude not to get us more coffee on a 20-degree night, but she just snipped back that she had to make it ... instead of having it READY for her customers. I guess if we don't have 28 other idiots (kids running around, talking loud, standing over us, taking their sweet time leaving), then she didn't need to give us any attention AT ALL. I hope the 30 tipped her well because she got ZILTCH from us. UPDATE 1/11:: Over a week has gone by since customer person asked me to send information... no reply, no contact, no nothing. The last time we ate there last year and everything which was fabulous. We had the same dinner, small rack of ribs and the this time it almost terrible. The reason why the whole dinner wasn't terrible is because half of the rack of ribs for both dinners was delicious and the other half of the dinners was so dry that we could not eat it! We were very disappointed with the food and the service was MEH. We received a discount due to the dried racks of ribs which didn't at least cover half of the price for the dinner. Had dinner there with my family and received bad service and subpar food! I left a review on their website and GM Hunt called me to talk about it. She stated there way problems in the kitchen that night and i told her that i knew already because we were seating just feet away from raised voices from kitchen staff and door dash drivers over messed up orders. Our service was terrible and food was subpar not to mention when the manager on duty that brought my son's mac n cheese that they forgot tossed on the table and walked off! GM Hunt invited us back and said dinner would be on her. We entered the restaurant and literally the first thing we saw was a young man propped up on desk with phone in hand not even paying attention to us. I asked for the GM by name and was told she wasn't there. This was after I called a couple days before we came and i was told again she would be there and dinner would be on her. We were taken to the worst table in any restaurant right by the kitchen and the exact table where we had our bad experience. I asked for a different table and when the server finally showed up, I explained that GM Hunt told me to bring my family and myself back and dinner would be on her. The server went in the kitchen and returned to say only one meal would be provided. This contradicted with what the general manager had told me. The booth seats had crumbs on them, 40 minutes after we ordered we still did not have any food. now there were people who came in after us who had food before us. When we questioned this they made an attempt and brought my soup, cold but said they had not made my salad yet. My husband's prime rib was cold and not cooked to his order and his potato ice cold as well. We asked for our check for the beverages (a coke and a draft) and it was "the manager is coming over ". Some very young girl came over and asked what was the issue, we told her we didn't even get an apology. She just gave us a bill and said "have a good night". Not to be mistaken as a Texas Roadhouse, this is Texas Steakhouse & Saloon. Even though the title sounds a bit more classy than the Roadhouse franchise, it's not. Nor is it as good as Texas Roadhouse... in my honest opinion. I was here a month or so ago and they were open for indoor dining during the pandemic. They did have a ventilation problem of some sort, so I kept my mask on when I wasn't eating or drinking. The smoke was so heavy, I thought that someone was actually smoking a cigarette, but then we learned that the hoods needed replaced. The complimentary starter rolls were fantastic. I ordered an order of the Campfire Cheese Fries, which were good. The website describes them as "seasoned fries topped with Cheddar Jack cheese, crisp bacon and green onions. Served with our signature Jalapeño Ranch dressing." The fries weren't seasoned, no green onions in sight, and although I loved the ranch, it wasn't jalapeno ranch. For my entree, I ordered the Texas Signature Salad. At $5.99 it was well worth it. It was the same size as my husband's Steakhouse Salad, just minus the steak and onion blossom petals. I was surprised that the menu only included two steak options. I know that the menu is limited due to the pandemic, but I wouldn't expect more seafood options than steak options. Overall, I'd still give the food four stars. So, why only two stars? The ventilation issue should've been unacceptable and resolved before serving patrons. Also, the bartender was horrible. She was publically complaining the entire time we were there. First it was the lack of clean glasses, and then she and my husband had a slight altercation about the size of the "double shot" that she served me. She was offended and remeasured it with the jigger, measuring an ounce from the shabby pour and quickly flipping it over to the half ounce measurement, not only did it not measure an ounce and a half, she dripped a portion of the top shelf tequila out while arguing. Not only are doubles usually 2 ounces, but arguing that the shabby pour was an ounce and a half when we clearly watched her failed demonstration, was offensive. read more

Service was good the food on the other hand sucked and I mean sucked. we arrived towards closing and i think they just wanted us to leave, I ordered the jack Daniel's grilled chicken the chicken was dry almost like jerky dry the baked potato was inedible it had a funny plastic taste to it, the green beans had way to much black pepper made them inedible the rolls tasted stale and my husbands steak was cooked well well done almost burnt and tough he ordered medium, the staff in the kitchen was loud, yelling and carrying on, the kitchen I guess was mad we came so close to closing and decided to mess up the food. only think I found good was the potato skins for appetizer, Steer clear especially around closing time and we came in 1 hour before closing so I recommend coming at least a few hours before so they don't mess your food up to get you to leave faster read more
