There were 8 of us, with a reservation at 6:30, seated immediately... even though they were packed with lots of people waiting in the lobby. We ordered onion straws as an appetizer... there was more than enough for everybody! Mostly folks order steak or salmon, which all came out perfectly prepared. Many baked potatoes, as well as fried green beans. Everything was done exceptionally well! It is a bit of a casual/rustic feel, but well maintained and very clean! Recently stopped for lunch at this amazing restaurant and enjoyed the whole experience. The atmosphere is steakhouse themed very clean and comfortable the tables aren't squished together and it wasn't noisy like that chain steakhouse you all know which one I'm referring to. The service is top notch nice,helpful,efficient and attentive. The food was all well prepared and delicious including the warm rolls w/cinnamon butter. I enjoyed the fried catfish with Texas potato wedges and fried green beans. My wife had a prime rib sandwich w/sweet potato waffle fries. From the looks of the steaks coming out to other tables next time we'll come back for dinner and order a couple of them. read more

Don't go there if you want to eat. We went last night for dinner around 5pm there were less than 10 tables. We sat there for over 10 minutes and no one acknowledged us, said hi, or they'd be right with us. People who came after us got drinks and salads. We handed our menus back to the hostess and she told us to have a good night like she didn't just seat us. Hopefully they don't treat locals like that. read more

Are there last night with a large group. Many of us had steak. Most of the folks that had steak were very disappointed. I ordered a big strip and it was full of gristle. $35 slab of unchewable meat. I waited at the entrance for someone to greet me for several minutes. I was greeted warmly when they did come. I ordered a sirloin steak med-med well. It was well-done- no pink anywhere. I can say that would I did devour was scrumptious and our waitress was very upbeat and polite despite how overwhelming the full restaurant must've been for her. We are there 3 different times . The first time on our anniversary they put us close to the door but it was very nice and good was good . The waiter was as well very nice to us . The 2nd time they did not cook our steak right so we had it go back it came back same as it was taken back brought it home and took care of it ourself . 3 time my birthday in February put us right next to a window. It was freezing cold out we should have asked to be moved however we didn't and we waited for our food . Stake was cold and so was our baked potato on both my plate and my husband's plate . This former Lone Star restaurant carries some of that steakhouse's feel, including the saloon atmosphere and bucket of peanuts (now upon request). My 8oz sirloin was grilled perfectly to medium rare. It lacked seasoning and even though I was told it was doused with butter I detected no taste other than the beef. A good exercise of the salt and pepper shakers helped the flavor. One of my sides was spicy fried green beans. These were wonderful but were mild rather than spicy. The lightest tongue tingle was all the cayenne flavoring could muster. The other side of Caesar salad was very good but had a standard restaurant cream sauce. And, a few old leaves made their way into the mixture, which effected the visuals rather than the taste. Served wrong steak ordered a Ribeye and got a Sirloin. Waiter was nice. Ordered my steak Medium Rare and it was Blue Rare, waiter returned it and cook brought out a burnt medium rare. Awesome Steakhouse. So, I went here on a Thursday night during a weekend away with a friend. We had just gotten into town, checked into our hotel and this place was close. So glad we went. Didn't realize until we walked in that they closed in 20 minutes. Asked the hostess if it would be better for the kitchen if we ordered to go or went somewhere else. Hostess said "Nope, so long as you're in the door before close, you're good." She meant it. Our waiter was super friendly, our orders were done quickly, cooked perfectly, and delicious. After numerous times over the past year I've come to realize that service is extremely hit and miss. The evening manager is a $hit head and needs to move on. Dinner last night prompted me to make this review. This is not the first time this has happened and has only happened on Sundays so far. I got my steak and baked potato first and then my salad. My potato is cool enough it wouldn't melt the butter and the steak was cold. Something was happening because I saw the $hit head giving $5 off because things were not right. I was not offered a discount, I tipped 20% which is way less than normal and left. I don't know if it was my bartender or the $hit head she is working for. Either way the service sucked and yes I'll go back because when it is good it's good. But let's get rid of the $hithead and get someone who can manage a restaurant!!! read more

Great food and fantastic service. Andy was our waiter and was very attentive and friendly. Prices were very fair and the Ribeye 16oz steak was great. Although not exactly medium well they got very close and it was delicious. Nice and clean great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
