DISHONEST & INCOMPETENT - Never hire this person! My family hired this man to reupholster very good quality chairs back in July - they paid up front. They saw the good reviews he had online and thought he would be a good choice for this important project. Over a month later (August) they were told that he had stripped the chairs down and just needed to put the new fabric on and they would be finished in 3 weeks (September). Today, IN MID-OCTOBER, after countless unanswered phone calls and text messages, my family went to the shop and saw their chairs exactly how they had dropped them off - NOT "almost ready" as they had been told. Furthermore, they found out at this encounter that this man's business was being evicted from this location in two days! He made no contact with them to return the chairs - reupholstered nor otherwise. Thank goodness my parents got their furniture back, BY CHANCE today, but he HAS stolen their money. Nearly $2,000! Do not give this man your business - the good reviews that you are reading no longer apply, apparently. There are better upholsterers in Lexington. read more

I posted an earlier one star review. I was very upset about the run-around and length of time this business had my furniture (3.5 months). The company desperately needs to revamp their process; HOWEVER, I finally got delivery of my furniture today. It is beautiful! I am extremely pleased with the workmanship. DO NOT use this business. They promised us our cushions in 30 days. And 6 weeks later they STILL were not finished. When we went to pick them up, they reupholserted them in the wrong material. We paid them $1400 in advanced. They promised the correction in 10 day. Went back 17 days later. Still not ready! We are still waiting on our job that we took in to them in March. This is an addendum to previous rating. This guy kept our furniture and lied multiple times on finish date. We had to get an attorney and were able to pick up our furniture partially UNFINISHED after we had paid. He had the buttons for our chairs and promised to mail them to us same week of our last visit but after three months still no buttons. My experience is that this is a dishonest business!!! If you value your furniture steer clear of this train wreck. I made the mistake of paying to have my chair recovered up front. Never again. Jere, the owner, said it would be 3-4 wks. Lie #1. It was 4.5 mos. But that is the least of it. Jere told me more lies than I can keep count of. If he is speaking to you, he is lying. He has a poor memory and and thus the stories kept changing. That's the thing with lying, you have to remember your lies. I had brought in a chair with buttons on the back and seat. When I eventually got it back the upholstery job was shoddy and all the buttons had been deleted. Now just a smooth back and seat. It completely changed the character of the chair. He doesn't do the work in house, he farms it out to who knows who. A slap-dash job is the result. Also he told me the job would need 13 yds of fabric. When I have now taken the job elsewhere to have his mess rectified I am told it will take 7-9 yds. Hmmm. My chair was ruined, I was ripped off on the fabric, and the job took forever. DO NOT use this business under any circumstances. I am out $2000 and have to have the whole job done again. read more
