Not sure what's happened with this place. I used to come here all the time for pan dulce. I haven't been in a while and went today, everything we got was hard . The taste is off as well. One tasted like it was stale, but the others seemed as tho they were baked too long. The breads we bought should not have been crunchy. read more

Parking on street. Came inside to the smell of freshly baked breads and goodies. Greeted by customers and staff in the shop -- which was so welcoming!!! One staff came over as I looked around at all the breads (because they have so many to choose from) and gave the run down of what everything was... they have: Conchas, Orejas, Cono rellenos, bread pudding, AND LOTS MORE!!! So I recently decided to ordered a cake, once again, and it was very expensive for what I got. I also could say that the whip cream was way too much. It was really like 2 inches over the cake or something but too much wipe cream. The taste was pretty good, but nothing special. like I said, just too much frosting. I thought I would just leave with a bad experience, however, I purchased about 7 pieces of bread for over $10.50 and when I reached to enjoy I encountered with HARD AS A ROCK BREAD!! Not exaggerating!! I didn't pay for old stale bread come on!! Have some respect for the customers that support your business. There are no excuses!! Just be respectful. You want to make money off the Latinos because they don't complain. Well guess what?? I do when I need to share horrible experiences and customer service. It seems like most of the bakeries were closed on Sundays, but I found this gem. My daughter was having her college graduation nearby and I wanted a special cake for her. I showed the picture of the cake I wanted for her and they told me what was possible and what wasn't. It was a cake of a book with the name on the side of the book and the name of university with the degree on top with a diploma and a graduation cap! I like the fact that they don't over promise. I stop in every so often to get some pan dulce for breakfast and I've never had any complaints. Their bread is always fresh and tasty. I actually got my wedding cake from here back in May and I was very happy. I'm not sure if they use different ingredients for their actual cakes in comparison to the individual slices they sell but wooooow it was SO GOOD. Perfectly moist AND dense cake. In search for the perfect birthday cake for my husband, I needed to find a bakery that could put a specific design on a cake. I didn't realize how difficult it would be since it wasn't a picture of a person. Luckily, I came across this place and wow, just wow. When I picked up the cake, they nailed it. Exactly what I asked for and it looked so good, I didn't think we'd eat it. The price for a nice size custom-ish cake which they said feeds 8-10, but you can definitely feed more was only $35. Let me start by saying I am not a cake person. I rarely eat cake because quite honestly there are very few places that make amazing, moist and not to sweet options of this dessert. They may have convinced me otherwise. I opted for chocolate cake (they only have 4 flavors I believe which are all basic). Then, so it wouldn't be so plain I had the middle filled with fresh strawberries. This was the most moist, spongy, delicious cake I think i've ever had. It was so light and airy I kinda forgot I was eating dessert. I couldn't believe it so I took another bite and yep equally delicious. As for the filling, the fresh strawberries were truly fresh and sweet. Now, for the icing which I always scrape off of cakes because it is either to sweet or super think was neither. How could this be? The frosting was whipped, also light and airy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I thought I was trying to convince myself to like this cake because it was custom made and looked beautiful. I asked everyone in our party who had some and they all agreed it was phenomenal. I will be happy to order from here again. I can't say I am a cake lover just yet, but this place opened my eyes that great cakes do exist. read more
