I'd become one of those cranky skeptical people when it came to dentists because my last few, um,…read moredidn't go so well. But, Dr. Britton and his staff have restored my faith in humanity, or at least in dentistry. I found him through my insurance company provider list, while looking specifically for sole practitioners (NO CORPORATE CONGLOMERATES!) that were nearby who had been practicing for a reasonable amount of time and who have a degree from the 1st world. (I don't care where my docs are from, I only care where they went to school.) Because I have phone anxiety calling businesses I was happy to see they have a website with an appointment form. I filled it out. Amy at the front desk called me back pretty quickly and boy, is she nice and friendly! She was very accommodating and made an appointment for me the very next morning. She's just as nice in person, folks. Brynne was my hygienist and she too is a very nice lady, recently moved here from Washington State. She told me how when she first moved here she was temping and planned on continuing to temp because she only wanted to work three days a week, but she loved Dr. Britton and his staff so much she came on full time, and assured me I had made a wise choice. They seem to have very modern equipment and digital x-rays that they can take from your chair, which is nice. Dr. Britton himself is very pleasant and personable, he introduced himself as "the guy who works in the back", haha. He explained what was going on with my teeth very clearly and presented options and was obviously very sensitive to the fact that it was going to cost a lot of money to fix the massive mess that my mouth had become. I know his assessment was accurate as it matched what I was told by my last dentist, and he showed me exactly where the problem spots were on my x-rays. This morning I started getting it all fixed. He had feared I might need a root canal in one tooth, but decided after he dug out the decay that since we hadn't reached the nerve yet, we might be able to avoid it which would save me money and pain. So, he did a deep filling instead. We'll see how that goes. What really impressed me about the experience was that it was actually pretty pain-free. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and they pre-swabbed the gum with a topical before giving me the novocaine so I didn't feel the shot. I didn't feel pain during the procedure at all. I was warned I'd be sore afterwards and told to take advil, which I did, and which seems to be working. I still have several more teeth to get fixed, he recommended doing it in steps so that I wouldn't have to sit with my mouth open all day. I think that was a good call. All in all, I'm very happy with him and his staff. They work with CareCredit and Wells Fargo for financing if you don't have insurance or have insurance like mine that barely scrapes the surface of the bills. And, with how easy it was to get an appointment and completely hassle-free and more importantly pain-free, I'd say you can't go wrong coming here. (of course, I can't guarantee your visit will be pain free as your teeth may vary).

After getting the reassurance from the Staff and doctor I felt at ease. We proceeded with doing the extraction the same day. My goodness, from the time it took for the anesthesia to kick in, which was quick, Dr. Sheppard came back in the room and did the extraction. It happened so fast, I was shocked! I hands down recommend Dr. Sheppard for any tooth extractions.

During my appt, one of their 2 xray machines were glitching, so I was only able to have bitewing xrays. Dr Hayes was prompt and professional. I regularly go to dentist every 6 months for checkup/cleaning. However, I felt his examination was too 'aggressive'. I had never had a dental exam in which I was probed in such an extreme manner. My mouth and teeth hurt for the next 24 hours (in spite of no cavities or minor/major dental issues). The recommendations included two 'upsell' options which were not very useful. My wife went same day and was presented with materially different recommendations than our competent prior dentist (who no longer accepted our insurance). My wife also felt that his examination was 'rough'. She also her mouth/teeth were probed in such an extreme manner. Her mouth and teeth also were tender for the next 24 hours. We will return but will be wary of the upselling

I have tried more than 5 dentist offices probably. I finally decided to give Arlington Dental Clinic a try as it was close to me. Here are a few of my points as to why I immediately felt comfortable: 1. The Dental Hygienist has been with the office for more than 25 years. That is unheard of nowadays. 2. The front desk ladies are actually happy and honest. 3. The dentist assistant is probably the nicest person I've ever met. She's also excellent at her job. Let's discuss the dentist now. Dr. Edalat made me feed comfortable immediately. Usually whenever I visit a dentist I feel as if they just make up things to have to do, but Dr. Edalat actually took her time to show me everything going on with my teeth and what actually needs to be done and what does not. Dr. Edalat did a procedure on me for a tooth that was giving me pain and it was seemless. Loved how she handled the procedure and I was not price gouged. Thank you to Dr. Edalat and her office, I will be a patient for a long long while.

Save yourself money and much frustration by finding another dentist…read more Everything this lady did $ 2,700 has to be redone. Plus I have a broken tooth due to her incompetence. You'll wish you had of listened to me if you go here. Here is just a small example of how you will be treated. I told the assistance I am paying out of pocket ,no insurance. Asked that any cost that isn't totally necessary be avoided. The next visit I am told the gas they used was 100.00 and the one, just1 they gave me was another 200.00. After I was charged they tell me this. On my receipt They charged me 200 for gas and 200 for the one pill. Normal cost for gas I now know is 38.00 to 60.00. Insanity. The crown she put in does not even fit. The partial is a total joke. She even told me it is costing her money when they sent it back to be sized right. It never fit . Got a 2nd opinion today. Yep it all was a waste of money and time. Don't waste your money here. Evil dentist.
