My whole experience was great, from assistants to meeting Dr. La. I am hoping to make him my new regular dentist

I come here for my annual cleaning and the service and care I get is always great! Tons of parking and I never have to wait long.

This review happen over a year ago but I'm writing this now because I saw that I had reviews here and I needed to update them. Down to 3 stars I no longer go to this dentist. The reason is they are very religious. From the music played in the rooms. I put up with the music for many years. On my visit they had a Preacher on the radio while I'm getting my teeth clean. It was a very anti gay sermon. Gays going to hell stuff. And I'm gay did not feel comfortable at all. I was very upset and told them to turn that off or I leaving. They turned it off but they looked surprised. I do not want to be preached to while I'm having my teeth cleaned. Or do want to hear music telling me to follow them. As for the office they have a great front desk. And very good hygienist. And I like Dr. La. I just will not go to a place pushing there religion on me. read more

Dr La is great, but the employees who handle billing are horrible. Last August, a family member who had dental work done received a bill from office. They said that insurance company NEVER RECEIVED XRAYS! So instead of them resenting xrays, they sent us the bill! After having to call and complain they resent xrays after 7 MONTHS! Now, she needs to be seen again but cannot go there because insurance issue needs to be resolved! I have also had issues with front office for scheduling. read more

Dr. James La has been my dentist for more than 10 years and I have consistently received the best of care from him. I've had a lot of work done, including fillings, root canals, crowns, and orthodontia, as well as regular cleanings. Dr. La is a consummate professional who takes great care to make me as comfortable as possible during every procedure. Best of all, he can give painless shots, and has such excellent skills that procedures seem to take less time than expected. I also appreciate the hygienists and staff who work with him. Everyone is competent, friendly, and respectful. Dr La and his entire staff are AMAZING! He has been my family's dentist for over 12 years. I have always been pleased with the work he has done and did not hesitate to have him do my veneer work. Wow where do I start.... Staff leaves a lot to be desired. I was mischarged and it wasn't corrected and kept getting told to call back. The dental work itself also left a lot to be desired. I was unable to have anything cold near one side of my mouth for weeks. Months later, it is now better. read more

Last year, my cross front tooth broke an half while having lunch with my wife. Flash back, Dr La advised me years before that "you need to see orthodontist, because you have cross teeth, the lower one will worn out the upper front tooth" I ignored his advice. Imagine, My root canal hung out, hurt hurt and hurt... I called Dr La office, an hour later I walked out of his office with temp crown and painless procedure. Weeks late, I came back and got a permanent crown in place. Happy me! Two days ago, my tooth #13 (I guessed) was fractured I noticed some times I bite something using that tooth, It was shocking sharp pain shoot to my head! Called Dr La office again, Staff got me in for check up few hours later, X-ray taken to confirm and came up with procedure. 8:30 am next day came back and hour 25 mins later I waked out with temporary crown. Big THANKS to Dr La and his assistant Brenda. Dr La and his staffs deserve 5 P's from me: Polite - all staffs and Dr La always greeting me with warm welcome! Precise - Each staff knows exactly what their roles are. Brenda told me Dr La trained her well and she been with Dr La for years. Punctuation - I told Brenda I have a meeting at 10am, she told me that she will get me out of here by 9:45am. She did Patience - I don't have to say more. They all listen to your story not hurry do do and next next... Professionals - come and see how nice Dr. La's dental office is and how well his staffs working in harmony to judge them yourself. Two words "HIDDEN JEWEL". The moment I walked through those doors I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly personality's from his AWESOME staff. My dental hygienist, Veronica, was very patient, professional, and sincere when explaining my procedure (root canal, crown). DR. LA is one of the BEST DENTIST EVER! With a smile like his you have to trust him! On a serious note Dr. La has such peace, comfort and professionalism about him when he walks into a room. Very upfront and personable, Very reasonable price and customer service was perfecto!

Dr La was great but his staff was uninterested in helping or offering any reason as to why they refused to run both insurance coverages. The lady we both spoke with (i can't recall her name and don't want to call someone out incorrectly) was completely unapologetic & lacked any compassion or care whatsoever. We both carry dental insurance and she refused to file with both insurances OR to even see which one would provide more coverage. Given all the COVID isolations and mandatory time off from work- we could have used that compassion rather than the rude attitude we were both given when we called individually to try and get assistance with this. read more

A month ago I got a filling that turned into a root canal because when it was fixed, the dentis got too close to the nerve and killed it. I rerturned to my dentist at Brident dental and they wanted me to wait 2 weeks so they could do my root canal. DrLa was the ONLy doctor to do an effort to accododate his schedule to attend my dental emergency. He was GREAT , very caring and at a very reasonable cost (much lower than the other place). His staff was super nice and friendly. They were angels. If I have waited 2 weeks to get this fixed, my tooth would have converted into an infection. I'm glad Dr La fixed it. I'm never going back to Briden dental. read more

I have been a patient here for so long that I can't remember having another Dentist. Dr. La and his team are always professional and personable. There was a time years ago when my insurance changed and I had to see another dentist. I went to Dr. La's office immediately after my visit and told Mary that regardless of insurance/price, I would be returning for my next visit. I see the dentist every 6 mos. and am a baby if work needs to be done. They are always helpful and calming to my family and me. Since then I have been back to get my own dental work. Every single person I've encountered there is so friendly. They make me feel very comfortable. Very sweet people up there. My dental hygentiest, Kelly, did a great job in explaining everything to me and since I had to go back for a deep cleaning, I requested to have her again. Dr La is fast and efficient. I've only had my fill-ins done on one side, so I will be back there soon. His dental assistant was very friendly as well and always asked if I was doing ok. I had an emergency called in on Mon. evening and was seen the next day. Evaluated and then came back an hour later for them to be able to fix my tooth. Dr. La and his entire staff has always treated myself and my husband with the most integrity as I've always said will tell you when someone is a toad and when they are not. These people have always worked at trying to assist me with my issues (have physical limitations) I never would want to go to anyone else. Treated well for many year. read more

Dr. La and his staff make me and my family feel like extended family. Dr. La is gentle in his approach so you feel at ease. I have a special needs son who was very anxious about getting a crown, but Dr. La was slow and gentle while his assistant Brandy gave him a play by play. It really eased his anxiety since he knew what to expect all the way. He takes the time to explain what is needed and why it is needed which makes me feel comfortable we are doing the right thing. I took my son to this dentist for the first time. When we arrived I was very disappointed to learn his appointment was scheduled while the staff was at lunch. We had to wait over 1/2 hour for the staff to return from lunch and then they had to get organized before he was seen. Okay doctor, but horrible staff. The doctor left me with poor quality work so I have to pay another dentist to fix. I don't want to go back to have them fix because they already charged me an arm and leg; which made me wonder if my awesome PPO insurance covered anything or does this office just charge whatever they can to drain their patient? Expect to pay a large chunk BEFORE service and AFTER service has rendered EVERY TIME. Not worth dealing with ignorant office manager. read more

Dr. James La has been my dentist since 2001. He's wonderful, and so is his staff. He gives me "heads up" about what I'll be needing in the future so I can budget. No pressure. Prices are reasonable (I've compared with friends for similar services). I also love that he's picky-poo about how fillings/crowns/etc look aesthetically. They get me in at my appointment time. I broke my front tooth one night. I called their office the next morning and the receptionist, Judy, calmed me down, was attentive and listened to my concerns. We made an appointment right then. The time between the phone call to being in the office was less than 1 hour. I was greeted by a very professional, caring, smart, empathetic dental hygienist named Brandy. She put my worries at ease, and Dr. La saw me within 2 minutes of being in the chair. He introduced himself and was genuine in his concern about getting my tooth fixed. I asked him about putting veneers on my front teeth and he said that my teeth were healthy and that I didn't need veneers. He was very knowledgable and gentle during my procedure and gave me a pain-free, beautiful tooth repair that matches my tooth color perfectly. He is a tooth artist. read more

I hadn't been to a dentist in about 18 years due anxiety stemming from a horrendous wisdom teeth extraction, then financial anxiety and, eventually, simple embarrassment about the condition of my mouth. A raging abscess that came on over the Easter weekend forced me to look for a dentist Monday morning. AFD's website noted that emergency walk-ins were welcomed, so I didn't call, I just drove straight there. Dr. La and his staff are EXCELLENT. No, he's not on my employer's DHMO plan, but his charges seem reasonable. Very professional and personable. No anxiety issues at all. (And to think that he was right down the street from my workplace... I only which I'd found him years ago.) read more
