ordered Sweet & Sour chicken with fried rice tonight. absolutely delicious tender chicken, identifiable vegetable. Would order again.

Ordered takeout pineapple fried rice and sesame chicken lunch specials. Sesame chicken was extremely soggy with the texture of a chicken nugget, and tasted like a tv dinner. Pineapple fried rice was lacking in flavor and barely had any pineapple, a disproportionate amount of onions, and the predominant flavor was cheap soy sauce. The only aspect of texture in the whole order was the miniature spring roll which was crispy. Pretty sure they are taking frozen entrees and reheating them here. Overall a very poor value, as it was nearly $17 out the door for each lunch special, and portions were small to medium. read more

Absolutely terrible food, although staff was very friendly. My meal was inedible - Singapore noodles. I consider myself a Thai food lover and this was one of the worst meals I've had. Definitely don't recommend unless they get a new chef. read more

This was a pick up order. It was delivered right at the promised time. The counter person "Elvis" appropriate and nice. They do charge 3% to use any credit card. We have been to this restaurant several times and have recommended it to friends. Tonight I picked up yellow curry pad Thai with chicken and vegetables. It was so thick that I needed a knife and fork to eat any of it. I put it in a bowl to see if I could break it apart. I thought their food was great the first times I ordered it. This pad Thai was inedible and very few vegetables and they were way overcooked. . I ordered the gogo appetizer plate for my husband, he received two BURNT eggrolls. They were BLACK. 2 wontons that were almost burnt. And the cream cheese wontons that were ok. We will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone again and we will not be back. We were so excited to find a "good" Thai place locally I don't know what happened! read more

Definitely could use some improvements to the food, the service was just fine. The Orange Chicken was subpar, being drenched and sitting in a bath of boiling hot orange sauce in your bowl, and the Tofu Fried Rice was some of the worst I've had. The tofu wasn't crispy even right after it was on our table and it was very very bland tofu. The fried rice was alright on it's own, but the tofu really dissapointed. There are giant slivers of onion in the fried rice and the chicken. The Thai Tea was just fine, but the Thai Iced Coffee was very subpar, it was just cold brew with some milk and sugar in it, very underwhelming. They also asked if I wanted steamed or fried rice with my Orange Chicken, and I thought it came on the plate, but was upcharged for them asking if I wanted it, I felt forced into saying one or the other without knowing it was an upcharge. Definitely not comming again, and if your planning on going here, there are definitely better places in Traverse City. Was very let down! read more

WOW! We're not in the habit of leaving reviews very often, but this place definitely deserves a shout-out! First off, the staff and owners are wonderful people, friendly, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Walking in today, we couldn't believe we hadn't checked this place out before, especially since they've been open for nearly a year. The restaurant looks great: clean, inviting, and with a cozy fireplace that's a perfect touch on a cold Michigan winter afternoon. Having traveled in Asia and Thailand, we were excited the moment we smelled the food, it instantly brought back memories! When our dishes arrived, they looked and smelled amazing. Everything was clearly fresh and tasted phenomenal, transporting us right back to our travels in Thailand. On top of the superb, flavorful dishes, the team is impressively conscious and knowledgeable about allergies, especially gluten-free options. As someone managing Colitis and Celiac, their real understanding means I can enjoy a great meal without the worry of getting sick. Thank you for bringing this delicious experience to TC! What a great find! We are new to the TC area coming from the Philadelphia area on the east coast. We have amazing food out east and to find a quaint little Thai Restraunt here in TC exceeds our expectations. I like very spicy and my wife likes no spice. Every dish we have ordered (both carry out and eat in) has been delicious. I am also a big fan of Tum Ka soup which they do well here. read more

I love that something like Thai A Gogo moved into the previous Biggby Coffee space , so let me say that first. However, my hopes and dreams for an authentic Thai place close to my home were a bit shattered. Paper menus at an ordering counter, and still that Biggby's feel, so ambiance is not so great. But, I am all about the food, I even give service a break if the food is good. Kept it simple and just ordered chicken pad Thai, Thai fried noodles with beef and a bubble tea drink. Dishes were served in black plastic to go containers with the small flimsy plastic forks. Normally, a plastic fork is no big deal, though we prefer chopsticks for most Asian meals. But those flimsy little white forks wouldn't hold the noodles without slipping off! Drove us crazy! Then there was the food. I love pad Thai, I even make good pad Thai after taking a class, so my bar is high. This was my least favorite version of it ever. The chicken was dry and the sauce was almost syrupy sweet. So bummed. Not much flavor overall, so really disappointed. My daughter's thai fried noodles with beef was just ok. Not very flavorful and the red onions seemed out of place. Her passion fruit boba tea was a 4 on a scale of 1-10. We also drink a lot of boba, so feel qualified to score this appropriately. Not super friendly and some tables still needed to be wiped down, so we had to hunt for a clean table. I so wanted to love this place, we've put off coming for months to give them a chance to iron things out. The food was served quickly and hot, so there is that. Not sure I'm willing to go back. Prices were restaurant prices. Quality was average to poor food court. Portions were small. Ambiance, not really. Fast campus asian meets old Ice cream shop? Table didn't wobble. Half the people inside were standing around waiting for to go orders. Arrived at 7:10. After paying, was told the kitchen was backed up and it would be 20-25 min to get our food. Food came out with apologies at 7:55 Regarding the Food. In general what one would expect at a shopping mall food court. Portions were small, I would say more like borderline lunch portions. Potstickers- they were deep fried not potstickers. Don't call deep-fried dumplings potstickers. I think they were chicken, very dry, no juice, no flavor, sauce was, I think, just watered down soy sauce. $6.50 for 4 ? Eggrolls- plain, plain sauce no mustard provided but might have been available. Massaman Gai- Chicken was fine, curry was lacking in spice overall. Seemed like premade/cooked ingredients combined and reheated. seemed to take a long time to cook for this sort of prep and result. Pad Thai- Probably the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Very soupy. I've never had pad Thai where there was probably a 1/2 cup of sauce left when done. Tasted like way too much fish sauce. Shrimp portion was fine and was over cooked for my taste but I think most would say it was perfect. I really can't make sense of the good reviews. Maybe the cook just quit and the new cook was trying to figure out the recipes and the kitchen? It was underwhelming in just about every way. Again maybe a bad night. I usually am willing to give a restaurant a second shot but not this one. I hate giving bad reviews but the disparity between expectation (based on Yelp stars) and reality was just too great to ignore. I did note the reviews did not have much middle ground which can be a flag either way. Check your Receipt (Amounts rounded to the nearest $.05) Ordered Shrimp Pad Thai ($18), Massaman chicken ($18), Pot stickers (4 piece)($6.50), Eggrolls ($6), and Water ($2) = $50.5 Tax $3.00 + 3% credit card fee (per another review. I didn't see any sign) = $55.15 tip 20% = $66.15. Charged $70.15 ???? I did not get my receipt so I'm using 20% tip giving them the benefit of the doubt. I usually leave 10% in a place that just brings my food on a cafeteria tray, in plastic bowls and has plastic utensils and makes me buy water. There was some hidden charge or something else. This is a new Thai restaurant. The servers were very friendly and able to answer questions about the menu. The food came out quickly. It was delicious. My family and I are vegetarian, and we enjoyed the three different dishes we tried. It was a relaxing atmosphere, and the decor is minimalist, but still feels welcoming. If you've ever had good Thai food, don't go here. It's a dine-in place only by default - say if you don't have a home or a car. There are no vibes or waiters. Food is served in and eaten with take-out plastic. The food I had was edible, along with rice in a closed container, ungenerous for the price, and had little flavor, spicing or distinguishing character. The owner/manager is a nice man who probably deserves better than his fate. read more

Way too expensive per dish; average portions, relatively bland flavor, served in plastic to go containers when eating in. Wife enjoyed Thai fried rice, I ordered the pad Thai and it came out as a lump of noodles stuck together with a soupy sauce. Very little flavor, in my opinion. Also ordered spicy peanut curry chicken and it was ok. Spicy was good, the rest lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. Each dish was about $20 plus drinks. I don't think we would return. In town for a quick visit and family felt like having some Thai. We called ahead and ordered a chicken Pad Thai and shrimp pad Thai both mild spice. We also got 2 Thai iced tea's. There was a generous portion of food and we had left overs, this fed 3 people and still had left overs. Everything we had was very delicious! I grew up in los angeles and tried a lot of thai food and this is the best thai food in traverse city !!!

Only been open a month- 3 meat pad Thai, veggie pad Thai, and veggie spring roll was hot and delicious! Cream cheese wontons were cold and 3 meat took quite awhile to come out, did apologize. I'll be back again. Ambiance is ok but it's and order at the counter type place fyi. read more
