Good pad Thai good service but some of the forks were unclean but besides that it was pretty good

While the chicken / coconut milk soup was delicious, and my wife loved her crispy whole fish, I found the food generally disappointing. I had a crispy tamarind duck that was basically fried balls with a tiny bit of duck meat inside. In other Thai places, I'm used to large pieces of duck with seared skin. Service was also slow. We were there on a Sunday night and there were only two other tables taken. We found the service to be cordial and friendly, but we were constantly looking for the waitress. When it came to pay our bill, we sat for close to 20 minutes between the time the waitstaff cleared our plates and when the bill arrived. If it weren't for my wife's delicious fish, I'd give it one start. Meh. read more

Great food. Got the drunken noodles with chicken (could've been a bit spicier) and the crab rangoon as an appetizer. Gf got the shrimp wonton soup and enjoyed it very much as well. We sat down, and I think that led to the only downfall of this restaurant, being that it is definitely more of a takeout place than an eat-in place. Water had some weird residue in it and the inside of the restaurant had a weird chicken coop like smell to it. Additionally there was no one else in the restaurant which is always a bit awkward, but it is to be noted that many people came in and out for takeout during our meal. Many of the reviews on here are all saying "the food is good here". Well, the the food is delicious here! Most of the group ordered curry, the panang curry and yellow curry. The yellow curry was smooth and mild for someone who didn't like there food to be spicy. The panang curry was flavorful and a little spicy but not too hot where you couldn't taste anything. Just the right amount of heat to sweetness for the right savory bite each time you took a spoonful. We were served by the owner of restaurant. She really took care of us, she was really nice and lovely to speak with. She made sure everything was good and nothing was wrong. Overall the experience was great and we will be coming back for the amazing Thai food. read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars.Awful food and the lady running place is so rude. I almost cursed her out. She made my mother and me horrible drinks when we sent it back with the waiter she came walking up to our table with the drinks in hand and insisted we drink them and then when we told her no she goes well maybe you don't know good drink when you taste it and need to get educated on Thai food. This restaurant is one of very few Thai places in the area. It is a no frills kind of restaurant, and I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews - people need to relax and recognize good food! The menu decor, and service are great. Recently, I shared the Kari puff appetizer, green curry with tofu, and panang with chicken. All three dishes were delicious! Visited today March 21. During this tough time the restaurants quality has not gone down, and is serving all menu items fresh and yummy as always. Unlike Oishii who had very limited menu items. This isn't the first time I've disagreed with my fellow Yelpers and I'm sure it won't be the last but I just don't think I get the love for Thai Angels (Perhaps it's the fact that it was the first Thai restaurant of its kind in the area). I thought the food was just fine. Not great, not terrible. Probably deserving of three stars but I docked them one for poor customer service. The first time we called to order, we not only had to try several times to get through but when we finally did, the person on the other line refused to take our order. When I asked how long to wait before calling back, she hung up on me without responding. Not cool. Fortunately, Mana Thai has opened in the area recently so for those hard up for Thai and unwilling to put up with poor service, they can still get their Thai on. read more

After moving to Mount Kisco in July 2007, my girlfriend and I have been sampling the local fare. From time to time, we've driven by Thai Angel's, which is on Lexington Avenue, quite a distance from many of the local shops on South Moger. It's an interesting location for a restaurant. There is no on street parking in front, but they do have a small lot for about 8 to 10 cars. On this night, we decided to order take out and figured we'd try Thai Angel's, since we've been to Cosi enough times to be awarded about 5 free meals since moving here. I didn't have a menu and, oddly enough, we haven't seen one dropped into our mailbox either. So, I checked the web only to find that Thai Angel's does not have a web site. After a little Googling around, I got their number and gave a call to inquire about the menu. The person answering the phone asked someone in the background if they had a web site. The answer was no, they hadn't gotten around to it yet. I thought, no web site? I said I'd think about it and hung up. After a brief pow wow with my friends, we agreed I'd go down and call them with the menu choices. I arrived at the restaurant and quickly got a parking space. It was Saturday night and there were still a few spots left. I entered the traditional Thai themed entryway to find a small dining room seating about 30 to to 40 comfortably. The decor was simple. The prerequisite pink colored polyester tablecloths with silver ware wrapped in napkins and a small candle. I found plenty of take out menus on the bar and wondered again, why there wasn't one in my mailbox? I ordered the Thai Fried Rice, which came with chicken, tomato and a cucumber garnish. It was flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning and hint of spiciness. It was quite good. I also ordered the Chicken Satay, which comes with 4 sticks. The peanut sauce was slightly oily for our tastes. It didn't hold up well and wasn't thick enough. it didn't jump out at me. Maybe because it was take out. Nonetheless, we only live a few minutes away, so I don't know if that was a factor. There was also a sweet sauce, but we didn't try it. For the main course, I ordered the Pad Kaprow (Chicken with basil). This is my favorite Thai dish and it didn't disappoint. It was interesting that they prepared it with the chicken chopped up and mixed in with the seasoning and vegetables, instead of long strips. It was very good. Tasty. We also ordered the Pad Thai, which my girlfriend thought was good, refreshing and not uncomfortably spicy. She thought it was a surprisingly decent dish considering where we live. The two other dishes we ordered were the Masaman, a curry dish, which my girlfriend's sister enjoyed. Unfortunately, she didn't give us feedback, but then again, she was too busy eating it to talk. She said that it was very good. And my friend had another Pad dish with mushroom, chicken, snow peas and ginger. He really enjoyed it and was quite surprised by the quality of the chicken for a small take out restaurant. Overall, we'd eat there again. It wouldn't be our first choice. For a sit down meal, we prefer the ambiance of the Japanese Tea House. But I'm sure we'll be back for more Thai Angel's when the mood arises. read more

Good food. Bring your own bottle; they don't have a liquor license. The food has been co nsistently good but the service borders on self-service. They are very nice and apologetic but if you are in a rush, pass by this place. I really like the food and the people here are so nice. Had a very good meal tonight with a party of 4 (including myself). 3 appetizers and 3 main dishes. We had dumplings, chicken satay and duck lettuce Wrap. All were good but surprised duck was fried in lettuce wrap. Main dishes we're pad Thai, seafood dish and sweet and sour chicken. All very delicious and prices very reasonable. Highly recommend. Live music on Saturday nights.... which was a bit too loud. Don't forget to BYOB. read more

This is the third time I have been here and each time my experience has been a good one. The service is friendly, the food is fresh and the ambiance is not overcrowded. The place is BYOB and they are always very quick and kind in opening your wine for you. There are even a few tables out front for when the weather is pleasant. Only ordered take out, so I can't speak too thoroughly about service. But, what brief service I had, was good. So no complaints there. That said, I didn't find the food to be all that impressive. Thai House in Ardsley is MUCH better. As is Noodle+ in White Plains. But for Northern Westchester, I guess it's the only game in town. So, it'll have to do. Just wish it was better. read more

I ordered vegetable pad Thai with their dumplings as my appetizer. This was by far the worst Thai food I ever ate. The ingredients were bland, not fresh and had a overpowering vinegar taste to it. Definitely worth your while. I went 4 stars, but it's really closer to 4.5. I went in for lunch and it was absolutely dead. I like a quiet experience, but was surprised it was empty. Also, it was mega hot in there. I love spicy food, so I mentally prepared myself for the sweat storm that was about to consume me.... The Tom Yum soup was, hands down, the best I have ever had. Just this amazing broth with the right hit of spice. I always go glass noodles for my entree and asked for it to be spiced up and was not disappointed. There's something about that Thai mix of noodles, vegis and protein that just hits the spot. I was sweating out of control, but will definitely be back. My partner and I go here at least once a month. We love the food and the staff are fantastic. Staff are friendly and are always willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. Great Thai food that's not your standard cookie cutter Thai place. High quality ingredients, good ambiance, and great staff. You can get popular dishes here or dishes you've probably never seen before. My wife and I were friending for Thai food, but our local Thai restaurant was closed. We decide fed to drive more than half an hour to this place. It's now our favorite Thai restaurant and we'll continue going out of our way. We eat a lot of Thai food and have for years. What I love about this place is all the dishes I've never heard of. I ordered the wild boar dish, I forget what it was called, and my wife ordered the avocado curry. The wild board came with fresh pepper corns (not dried) still on the little twig. The flavor was fantastic. My wife, who is so picky it's annoying, loved her dish too. We also ordered jasmine tea which was high quality and brewed correctly. You definitely get a premium product over your standard Thai take out place and the price is only slightly more expensive. The place looks very nice and is filled with very live Thai art. We love it and are converted to regular customers even though it's so far away. Again we've been to dozens of Thai places and the only one at this level was Up Thai on the upper east side of manhattan. read more

I went here for the first time last night and had such a good meal I was compelled to write a rare review! I had dinner with 3 other people, and everything we had was delicious. The appetizers got everything to a great start - Thai-style mussels were the night's special, and were amazing, as was the seafood salad. Both had so many flavors and were really different to similar dishes I've had before. For the main course, between us we had 3 different curries (yellow, green and veggie sausage) and a noodle dish, and it's impossible to say which was the best! Each had its own subtle but distinctive flavors, fresh ingredients (with generous portions of shrimp & scallops) and we all enjoyed discussing the merits of each as we stuck spoons into each other's plates! This was all washed down with a dish of refreshing mango sorbet between us. We all left with full and happy bellies. The food stands out as the main attraction, but with the friendly service, the personal attention from the cheerful owner and a comfortable atmosphere (comfortable enough for a book club meeting), this place ticks all the boxes. read more

It's a shame that I'm giving this place such a low rating because they make pretty good food, however, today's experience was very unacceptable. I called in to order pad Thai and the lady says ok and hangs up before letting me utter another word. Then I get there in the next 10 minutes and when I got there I told her I was picking up the pad Thai and she looks at me like why are you here and she says "you just called, the food is still cooking," which was fine because I didn't expect to get there and pick up right away. Then she brings out my order and says "you didn't say if you wanted soup or salad so you're not getting that" and I'm like "well maybe it was because you hung up on me after I said I wanted a pad Thai and didn't let me say anything else and you didn't even ask me what I wanted for a side order, so am I getting a discount for this food because I'm not getting a complete order" and she says "absolutely not" and I say "ok well then I do want a soup if I am paying full price for this." So then she brings the soup and I leave. I get back to work and open the soup container and found a strand of hair in it and the pad Thai was overly greasy, more than i have ever seen. So yeah, overall, a terrible experience - she was rude by hanging up, by not offering the full meal that comes with a lunch special, by her greeting when I arrived, then blaming me for not saying whether I wanted a side or not when I didn't even get the chance to because she hung up on me, and then telling me that because she didn't know if I wanted a side or not then I was just not getting it. read more

By far the best and welcoming place in Mount Kisco. Let me start off with the food. First of all the food here is great especially if you're into curry. Definitely get the Yellow Curry you won't regret it I promise. I love fried rice and if you do too then get the pineapple fried rice. I come to this place multiple times and I noticed that she treats her customers with such kindness and a welcoming attitude however some customers abuse this kindness and scams the restaurant to get free food. Scammers who are some yelp users here threatens the restaurant owner that they will put a bad yelp review if they don't get a free meal from their orders that was "messed up before" about a month ago.. FIRST OF ALL IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DELIVERY THAT YOU ORDERED WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL THE RESTAURANT BACK THEN TO CORRECT IT ON THE SAME DAY. WHY WAIT 1 MONTH TO TELL THE ORDER THAT IT WAS INCORRECT AND ASKED TO DELIVER THE FOOD ONE MONTH AFTER? I SMELL A SCAM HERE JUST TO GET FREE DINNER.. SO PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS HERE ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT MAKING MISTAKES ABOUT DELIVERY OR IF THEM BEING RUDE TO CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THEY ARE MOST LIKELY FROM THE SCAMMERS/BLACKMAILERS WHO ONLY WANTS TO GET FREE FOOD FROM THIS PLACE. Beautifully decorated Thai restaurant with delicious Thai food. The damage pointed out by a previous reviewer must have been repaired because I didn't see it. I had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken and Tom Yum soup for $9.95 on the Lunch Special and enjoyed every mouth full. The place was empty, except for me, and the one waitress on duty was very attentive without be intrusive. I hope business picks up, it would be tragic to lose this gem of a restaurant. read more

This is probably one of the worst Thai experiences I've ever had. Mount Kisco, why are you continuously disappointing me? We ordered delivery and I suggested ordering half an hour earlier than usual to give ample space for delivery time. This place is 10-15 minutes away. Our food came in an hour. I have no words. When our delivery finally came, they forgot to put in our summer rolls. Fifteen minutes later, they ring the doorbell with it. SMH My scallops kee mao dish tasted weird. Loaded with MSG. Same for the pad thai. And the basil fried rice was just a huge heaping mess of dried rice with no flavor at all. Nothing blew my mind, but I ate most of it because I was starving by the time the food came. If you want a word of advice, Thai Angels, you should begin by hiring someone who knows how to navigate the streets well enough and not forgetting food items. read more
