Chicken lo mein, can't see the steam rising from it but it was piping hot.

Average at best. More fried rice than Szechuan chicken, in fact it hardly had any chicken. Asked for it extra spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. There are to many Chinese restaurants around to get this poor meal.

Very dry old chicken, you can also tell this is old see the corn is all shriveled.

I was encouraged when my delivery came...the fried dumplings were good, the hot and sour soup also good. My Chicken cashew was a huge disappointment and I couldn't eat it so that is super disappointing. The flavor was good but the chicken was concerning, after two bites it was a hard NO. it was like they used left over old crusty chicken.

I read the reviews before ordering our food. I was so excited to try it based off of a couple of reviews. I ordered the Shrimp Mei Fun and boy was I shocked when I tried it. It had no color, and absolutely ZERO seasoning/taste. I am truly annoyed. I was really looking forward to eating one of my favorites. It's been such a long tike since I've had Mei Fun noodles. I usually give a place 3 tries before I am done. I am done here.

The dryest red curry I've ever had. Barely any sauce. I got spicy, but can barely taste any spice, it's maybe the equivalent of a 2 or 3 out at another restaurant on a scale of 1-5. The dish also has mushrooms and cilantro which is a little weird, but I can deal with that. It's the dryness that makes this dish inedible for me. I tried and got about half way, but I seem to have eaten the tiny bit of liquid I had with my dish already and I used it sparingly with my rice as there was barely any to begin with. I'm not sure why this place has such rave reviews by people. If you like authentic Thai, this is definitely not the place to go. If you just want a quick mediocre bite of whatever this is, have at it.

    Thai Basil

I absolutely love Thai Basil, it's clean, the owner is so kind, she is always in a good mood to serve her customers. She answers the phone ALWAYS and is so good at her job. Her workers, always seem to be working hard behind the counters and the food is delicious every time. Always packed so nicely and safely. Thai Basil is a great restaurant that I keep coming back to. A sweet spot in the oakleaf commons.

For a place named Thai Basil my husband and I thought it would be good to order the beef pad Thai. Simple to say it tasted depressing.

I can honestly say with all the times I have been there and it's more than I can count, never have. I had a bad meal! The food is always the freshest and it's always served piping hot. Their vegetables are just crunchy enough to know they're fresh but still have their flavor. Their portions are ginormous. You definitely get your moneys worth with the highest quality dinner or lunch you could ever ask. The service beyond stellar! Because I go there so much and they know me so well I don't even have to tell them what I want to drink they bring it automatically. They truly treat their customers like family and that's a rarity these days! They truly care about their customers and they remember who they are. I listened to them with other tables and they take just as an active interest in them as they do Me. That's the sign of quality. I love the ambience because they always have fresh flowers and they're always dust free. So many times you'll go into places in the plants have dust on them not here. Someone truly takes care of the greenery and it is green! It's also very interesting to watch the TV screens as they do demonstrations of various Thai food preparation. I've been to numerous Thai places in Jacksonville. None can hold a candle to this one. Moreover, when I lived on the West Coast in California and I went to some fantastic Thai restaurants, they don't compare to this one! You can never go wrong here.

But finally, after numerous trips to this area, my wife and I stumbled upon this actually authentic ethnic place- and it's a thai place to boot! Siam Thai has a wonderful menu, full of goodies- the Panang Curry whether with pork, beef, chicken or shrimp- is nothing short of outstanding. The spring rolls rock; the Basil Duck is to die for. Everything is made FRESH. The degree of heat on dishes is based on a 1 to 5 scale; they will ask you every time for it. My biggest complaint was that the chicken seemed to have been boiled in water, and then just added to each dish as necessary. So it was rather rubbery and lacked flavor. Since her name qualified for their special promotion, we received $25 off, which was an incredible deal. I ordered the lunch special, and upgraded to the Tom Kha soup which was fantastic. Thanks to the birthday name promotion, she was also able to get the Blue Orchid Fried Rice for just $5. The service was outstanding. Emma was fantastic--she explained everything clearly, was very patient, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We came early for lunch, and there were only a couple of other guests, but the restaurant filled up quickly. The manager, Shena, was also warm and welcoming. She stopped by our table to greet us as first-time customers, gave us a coupon for a future visit, and provided helpful information before we left. Great food, excellent service, and amazing value.
