One of the best places for lunch - especially if you're craving Thai! I come here at least once a month (if not more!) because their Friday lunch special is absolutely perfect for me! Their Friday Lunch Special comes with a cup of their Tom Yum Soup and a Spring Roll! Their prices are very reasonable and their food is absolutely DELISH! We arrived around 5:45pm and we were the first customers there. We noticed that there were only 2 staffs inside. We ordered Roti and Chicken Satay for starters. While waiting, I saw the lady taking a lot of orders via phone. It was a bit of a wait for our appetizers, but it was worth it! The roti was flaky and the peanut sauce that came with it was delicious! The chicken satay was a great portion and tasty too. The wait for our main meal was longer, good thing we had no plans after. I got the Chicken Panang Curry, it was tasty and a great portion too! My husband's Beef Pad Thai though, was a disappointment. It was so overcooked, the noodles were soggy and cut into short pieces. Only to get there by 8:10 and the doors are locked with the lady inside just staring at us waiting for us to walk away. Either post the proper time or keep the business open until close. The entrees we ordered were Golden Citrus Chicken and Red Curry Chicken. Both came with amazing rice. Perfectly cooked and the right amount of sticky. The red chicken curry had very tender chicken and the most creamy curry sauce. It tasted amazing! The Golden Citrus Chicken will melt in your mouth. It's that good!!! I'd eat it again tomorrow. The restaurant does have a limited ambience: there's a tv with Buddhist monk on it and silence other than the exhaust fan. Also, no sake or beer. There is also a limited staff, but this is a family business and that's to be expected. The food is amazing. And that's why we all come right? The place is also extremely clean. Unfortunately seems like this place was bought out and under new management. The young man at front needs to at least act like he wants to be there. He just stood there at my table, no greeting, didn't smile, truthfully looked like he wanted to be anywhere else besides taking my order. Menu for the kitchen is different, but they haven't updated their physical menus so what I ordered was not what I got. I initially asked my waiter about my item not being what I expected and his response was "I don't know" A lady who I believe to be the owner came out and apologized about the confusion, which I did appreciate. She offered another dish but I figured I'd try out what I got. My dish was cold, flavorless and small. I was starving and didn't even want to finish my meal. My waiter, the young man from before had disappeared and I had to go to the back and look for someone to take my payment. Really disappointed all around. I came.here on a Sunday brunch/lunch and it's super quiet. We were the only people here. It's clean and well organized and you don't even smell the food in the back even though Thai food is notoriously fragrant. However, when the food came onto the table you can tell this place is TOP NOTCH. The service sizes are huge! I got a salad and a cup of soup, and the small cup was already making me runneth over. I'm so happy! I typically judge a Thai place based off their Tom Yum soup, since it's like one of their national dishes/soups. And I can confirm this place is AUTHENTIC! I did their lunch carry out and it was a good deal. For $15, I got a curry with chicken and rice, chicken satay and a soup. The soup was good and the curry was made well however my chicken satay was undercooked or maybe overcooked but it had a rubbery consistency and I couldn't even bite into it. I did have to throw the satay away which is the only reason I'd give the place 3 stars. Flavor wise for the curry, it was definitely 4 stars! I have always liked this restaurant but they just made it even better. Now with their lunch special they offer an appetizer and soup of the day, you get multiple different choices and they are delicious. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Most of the time it is more of a quiet place. Very relaxing, one of my favorite places to go. A friend told us about this restaurant and said it was the best Thai restaurant in the Jax area. We love Thai food but had not tried this place. I have to say, I'm so glad that she suggested Thai Green House. The service is great. Although some of the waitstaff don't speak a lot of English, they are so sweet and accommodating. The food is prepared fresh in the kitchen so you can give them your level of spiciness. We always get roti and this is some of the best. We've been eyeing this place for a while now and finally we got to try it! I immediately checked in to Yelp and got a surprise, free Thai tea drink! Place was simple with nice Thai ambiance. Server was friendly and attentive. We tried almost everything on the menu and I would say I left really full. Food was very good and price was very affordable! For only 10.95 you can try all their soups, noodles, fried rice, stir fried veggies and chicken, and curries. The menu was a bit limited and dessert options would be nice too. Saw this place in my way home from work and and the call of spicy hot curry resounded in my ears. After a week of moving, it was time to treat ourselves to a carry out dinner. I ordered the Pad Thai and Green Curry - both with chicken - from my car. Both were ready within 10 minutes. It was about $15.95 each entree. The portions were huge and we had Thai lunch the next day too! The pad Thai was nice and sweet with yummy peanut crumbles and a lemongrass garnish. The curry was medium hot just as I requested. I ordered delivery for the Pad Thai with tofu at a medium spice without bean sprouts. It was dinner time but the portion felt smaller more like a lunch time portion. Both the Pad Thai and Tofu were good but I was still hungry when I finished. I got medium spice but it was more mild, usually a medium 3 is the perfect spice for me with other pad thai places I've gone too but this one didn't have any spice to it. There isn't a lot of vegetables in it which I personally prefer but something to be aware of if you're someone who likes a lot of veggies. Thai Green House is another local Thai spot in the Jacksonville area but how it differs is that they serve an All You Can Eat menu. All you can eat Thai...yes please! Although, the menu selection is a bit limited in selection from different Tom Yum soups, Green House curries, Stir fries and Noodles they all have great taste and flavor. The lunch price is only $10.95, so it is truly a steal! They offer this special 7 days a week and it is offered for both lunch and dinner. If you are in the Southside area, I recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the area and are a fan of Thai food. My favorite dishes included the Tom Ka Chicken soup, Basil Thai Fried Rice and the Pad Kee Maow Chicken. This was based on my experience last night at their new roll-out of AYCE Thai. I wanted to enjoy this place so much, since I understand how asian restaurants have a difficult uphill battle to make it in Jacksonville. I guess they only had one server for the night, she was generally good running from table to table. My only qualm was that our waters weren't refilled til the very last 5 minutes of our meal. Now on to the meat of this review, or lack thereof from our meal... each portion is tapa style. You fill out a sheet of paper specifying up to 3 items of each category: apps (e.g. salad, dumplings), soup (Tom yum, Tom Ka), entree (e.g. pad Thai, drunken noodles, stir fry, fried rice). Most of the menu happens to be vegan or vegetarian which is fine, but when you do order a dish with meat...you get 2.5 thinly sliced slivers of it....I'm talking thiiiin with a hefty portion of starch (noodles or rice). And then the wonton soup is a whole bowl of clear broth with HALF a dumpling, not one whole dumpling but HALF of one. I understand that as a restaurant you try to cut corners and save expenses, but that was extremely insulting as a customer paying $15 for AYCE when the restaurant can't spare even a full dumpling... There were some hopes of glimmer, like the greenhouse shrimp curry or soup flavors like Tom Kha, so not all was too too lost. I hope owners can be able to take feedback and implement some real changes: like feel free to charge me another few dollars to give me a full dumpling and not try to slice the chicken so paper thin. read more

I ordered the green curry with tofu and it's pretty good. The portion felt generous and I like how I feel full after eating but not bloated. I chose the mild version because I cannot handle super spicy food. It's a bit spicy but it gives my palette a nice kick. Look forward to trying other popular dishes again soon. read more

The restaurant filled up pretty quick during lunch time on Saturday afternoon. The all you can eat buffet had a decent number of options and all of them were super tasty.
