The food at this place did not disappoint! The service is slow during peak times, we waited almost 20 mins. before our order was taken, but only because there's only one waiter for the entire place who is also responsible for running the cash register and other front of the house responsibilities (which makes no sense at all...) However once our order was taken the food came out super fast! There's a beverage server who is attentive to get your drinks, and two food runners that bring out the food from the kitchen, but the place needs another employee to help take customer orders during peak service times. The ingredients were fresh and cooked well, and the food tasted great! The spice level may be a little lighter than other places but they'll provide you extra spice if needed. I had the thai basil with chicken and brown rice, which was as good as it gets in the world of thai food, and my wife commented that her pad thai with streamed tofu was better than the two hometown thai restaurants we frequent. I'd recommend this place if you're not in a rush, but would also recommend that you make a reservation if it's a Friday or Saturday night to minimize your wait. I was in town for a few days on business and saw this place so I came in. First thing I saw on the menu under the description of Panang curry (my favorite curry) is made with mint leaves. I have never seen mint in curry. Usually Panang has kafir lime leaves. I definitely don't want mint flavor in my curry.... Thai basil, of course but not mint. So I'll pass on the Panang curry. All curries say with mixed vegetables. Asking I was told onion, celery, carrot, mushroom, broccoli and bell pepper. Ordered the red curry without broccoli and bell pepper and added bamboo shoots and asked for it to made with fresh thai chili to "thai hot" level of heat. It was very good. The celery had some pieces that were a bit hard but it was fantastic. I may even go back tomorrow! read more

The food is really good, all the right favors and lacking nothing. We ordered tom la soup with chicken and it was bursting with flavor. We also had the papaya salad and it was delicious. It was a cold rainy night so we had son jasmine tea also. To finish we had the coconut ice cream and it was so good. This is our new favorite place to eat! read more

We went to place order and said they were out of duck. Then did not come back to get our new oeder for 15 minutes. Waitress went to 3 tables and took their orders first. Another waitress came over with little salad plates. We thought they were complimentry so we ate them and waited. I waived at hwr to take the order. She finally came back. We gave order, she said with the 2 salads amd saod they only come with the lunch specials and we wpild have have to pay for them. When we placed pir new order she said thwy were put of the bbq as well. she brought out our appetizers 15 minutes later missing an item. So we at that point we were starting to get upset. We finished the appatizera and waited. 25 minutes later just my husband got his food. He patiently waited for me and realized he got the wrong rice. 10 minutes later my diah came out and at that point we we were done and had enough. My husband and I decided to check this restaurant and walk across the street from Urgent care where we were. The food was really good. I'm So glad we found this place. So apparently they have only been in business for 6 months. You gotta try it. We had Penang curry, crispy shrimp, fried rolls, sweet and sour soup. It was all excellent. I know I'll be back. Fantastic...that's sums up the food and environment at the Thai Cafe. Occupying the old Original Bistro store, this cafe may be new to the Prescott Valley area, but the chef has obviously been making wonderfully flavorful food for a very long time. My wife and I spied the cafe today and went in for lunch. We ordered 3 different lunch specials. The yellow chicken curry with steamed rice was very nice with just the right "bite" to the flavor. Along with the chicken comes white or brown rice, potatoes, onions, carrots and bell peppers all resonating with flavor. The Pad Kee Mao is stir fried noodles with beef, pork or chicken (we chose beef), egg and vegetables. Absolutely the best I've had. The last dish was spicy eggplant with tofu. Talk about flavor !!! Wow, this was the best dish on the table and they were all superb. Why 3 different dishes? Most of the Thai places we visited are long on "salads" and short on the entree itself. Not here..you can get salad or soup, but it makes up a very small portion of a very generous entree. We were stuffed, but VERY HAPPY! We'll be back, next time for dinner. While we were there this noon, we noticed that there was a substantial crowd coming in to order on site and "to go" as well as phone in orders being picked up. I really love the food here. It's very authentic and much better than the Thai food places in Prescott. The service still needs improvement especially during lunch but overall each of the waiters and waitresses are very nice and friendly. All their appetizers and main course meals are worth it. The Gyoza and Satay are our favorite appetizers. Pad Woon Sen and Thai fried rice are also our favorites but we've about tried everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Finally stopped in this place. The decor is very nice. They have it decorated for the holidays. We had the shrimp curry, Teriyaki Beef and Thai Basil made with vegetables. They offer jasmine or brown rice with you entree. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. Everything was tasty and the heat was just right. The ginger tea is mild and slightly sweet. This is NOT Thai food. Hoisin sauce, black bean sauce, really? My husband had a spicy cashew pork dish that had no cashews and little pork! I had the crispy fish, which had great tempura style catfish but a sauce that was anything but Thai. The veggie rolls were bland, and the accompanying sauce had some kind of a honey base, not chile like usual. Prices are a bit high and the service spotty. The atmosphere is nice. We will not return. One of the best restaurant my family and I have tried here in Prescott and Prescott Valley. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so laid back and just happy. The staff were so nice and helpful too. The menu had a good variety of different foods to choose from. We had the chicken satay as an app, it was delicious. The chicken was piping hot and the peanut dipping sauce was delicious. My mom ordered the large wonton soup and shared it with the rest of us. That soup tasted like someone's grandma had been cooking it all day long. It was so hearty and tasty! My brother had the orange chicken. We all tried it and couldn't believe how amazing it tasted. The orange glaze on the chicken is something that I will probably forever crave now. My dad had the teriyaki beef. The beef was tender and the teriyaki sauce was mouth watering. I had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken and it definitely did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp was so tender. It also had giant chunks of grilled pineapple. The price of the entire meal was reasonable, and if you pay with cash you get 10% off your check. This place is the best thai food in the Prescott Valley area. They are very consistent with their food and it is always good. I get the panang curry every time and it is the best. The only reason they are getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because they never answer the phone for to go orders. My husband and I love Thai food and are picky about where we eat our Thai food. We are so pleased by the Thai Café. We have eaten there several times in the last three months and we have taken friends there to enjoy it with us. My husband and I went to the Thai Café last night. He ordered sweet and sour pork and vegetables over brown rice. I ordered beef thai basil over jasmine rice. We chose heat level 2 out of 4. I was o.k. with it but my husband would've preferred a 1. We both thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and service. The thai iced tea is fabulous! The interior is clean with a calming ambiance. They play soft jazz which is nice for dinner music. If you pay with cash there is a 10% discount too. We will go again... maybe next time for lunch. A recent trip was expensive and made me realize this is not for me. I got the chicken pad thai and while there was plenty of it, I just thought it was unappealing and not very good. The prices are extremely high, even for lunch. The service lacks....you wait forever to get your water filled. They act there like they are doing you a huge favor to wait on you and bring you a menu. The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was very attentive.I had the Yellow Curry with Fried Tofu (spice level 3 of 4), and it was excellent.
