I have been craving delicious Thai Food For the past two weeks, and found zero satisfaction... one had great food, but horrible customer service, and the other had both horrible food and customer service... so, I needed a win, and today, The Thai Palace delivered the most satisfying experience! I was greeted upon arrival, the staff engaged with me, even to the point Asking if I would like lemon for my water... The server followed up, shortly after the food was Dropped, and checked back ( in a timely manner) a couple of times ... I ordered the Shrimp Curry "Thai Hot" ... the level of hotness did not disappoint, and the dish maintained a very satisfying flavor profile... thought all of that heat! Magnificent! read more

Positives: Decorated well. Lovely nods to a beautiful culture and a water feature. They are open all day- no odd hours like some of the Local Thai restaurants which is very inconvenient therefore we don't frequent them. Negatives: Portion size is a bit small to average, and sadly a few of the featured dishes we have tried seem to focus on adding prolific amounts of red and green bell pepper as "filler" for the vegetable in the protein and rice/noodle dishes. A variety of vegetables that compliment the specific dish would add interest and subtle texture and flavor. Broccoli? Lemongrass? Everything is expensive now due to the trump administration- and people simply can't afford to eat out as much or at all. When a dish is presented miserly, it becomes an easy to decision not to eat out. Also, the dishes are a bit overly salted. Thai food has such an abundance of spice to make it unique, over salting is a rookie move. The staff we have encountered seem mostly professional and friendly, however, lately staff seem disinterested, bored and we were surprised and disappointed to see two staff members, eating at the front register while people came in for take-out orders. Surely a health code violation to be eating while handling customer food orders and money at the cashier station. Big turn-off for us. We really wanted to see them succeed- but eating at the register is gross. Ughh. read more

Came here for lunch and it was great. The service was fast and friendly, I like the decor inside the restaurant and the food was really good! Especially the curries! The prices were very reasonable. For $15 I got a stir fry dish of meat and veggies in a sauce with a side salad and a side of rice. read more

I am not sure what all the bad reviews are for. I was hesitant to try it out because of the bad reviews, but I am glad I gave this place a chance. I made a reservation for a group of 9 and as soon as we walked in, we got seated right away to our table that was reserved. I really loved the decor inside. There is plenty of free parking around the area and in front of the restaurant. The girls were amazing and friendly. They thought about what we will need ahead of time like extra plates, bowls and brought those out. I got a Thai tea and I like it a bit more strong, but it was still good. I also got a pad see ewe and I loved that it was extra saucy because in some places it is very dry. The coconut soup was delicious as well. Everyone in the group loved their dish. Ok we decided we'd try. Very happy we did. The place is clean and bright and lots of seating. The service was great. Let's get down to the food. To start the pot stickers. Steamed to perfection and their dipping sauce was super tasty. Ask for the chili sauce as it's a great addition. I had the green curry. Level three. I wasn't disappointed at all. Fresh veggies and great blend of spices. My friend had the fried rice and wow it was yummy. Both came with salad and we got the peanut sauce and I could've drank it. It was very good. Green curry was the best I've had in the area, you can tell that the people cooking it are Thai- I've spent a lot of time in Thailand and this is the most authentic Thai food I have tried in the Sedona/ Cottonwood area. This was our first and last time trying this restaurant. We were disappointed by the pad see ew, massaman curry, and coconut soup. It seemed that the cooks were new and inexperienced. None of the sauces had the right consistency and texture. They weren't reduced or thickened at all. Basically everything was soup. Ordered yellow curry at a 2 on their hotness scale with brown rice. At lunch it came with salad and lovely light peanut dressing. The curry itself was flavorful and filling with a delish flavor. So my dad and I just had dinner here and all was well until I saw the dishwasher look at me and throw his hands up. I then looked at their website and realized that they had closed at 7pm and it was 7:20. I told my dad what happened and we immediately left, however once we were outside my dad and the dishwasher met eyes and the dishwasher rudely pointed to his watch to make a statement that we stayed past closing time. Our table had only 2 glasses needing to be washed. I'm usually very vigilant about restaurant closing times but I didn't see the hours on their front door. We apologize for staying past closing time but the way the dishwasher acted by throwing up his hands and then pointing to his watch once we were outside was very unprofessional. They could've politely asked us if we needed anything else as they were in the closing process or just tell us 15 minutes before closing that they close at 7pm. read more

We went there for lunch. Saturday late afternoon, just one table seated besides us. The service was good and quick. Our soups were decent, probably the best thing I ordered was the Wonton soup. The Beef Salad was not very flavorful. I even asked for 3 stars of heat. Their heat level go's from 1 to 5. My wife said that her Larb Gai was good and with 1 star, not any spice at all. This restaurant was recommended to us so we went despite it's low 3.7 rating. The 2 stars here are for really nice serving people. Now for the food and drink: the Good, the small salad with peanut dressing was fresh and tasted very good, the Red Curry with crispy tofu was very nice although it could use some more vegetables and less "soup"; the Bad, the Pad Se Ew was a mystery that was supposed to be a portion of flat noodles with vegetables and chicken in a sweet black bean sauce but was more like a few noodle, vegetables, chicken in a gallon of soy sauce with a cup of salt. To their credit when this salt extravaganza was pointed out the server immediately removed the dish and replaced it with a freshly made "Pad Se Ew" without any sauce, lots of egg white and was not Pad Se Ew, didn't taste very good...just a mystery. The Ugly, the Mai Tai (they call it My Thai) cocktail was strange, tasted like a premix with funk. Not recommended. read more
