My favorite Thai place in the verde valley! Anytime I'm in Rim Rock, I try to come by!

I love Thai food and this place is very authentic! Good service and great dishes. I love duck and they have a couple duck dishes !

On my back from Sedona, AZ, felt hungry and did not wamt to wait till i got back to the Phoenix area so i searched Yelp for Thai food near me. Thai Garden came up in the search with 4.5 star rating and it was less than 10 miles detour off I-17. It's a small but very nice Mom and Pop Thai restaurant. Authentic in my opinion. I arrived around 2 pm. One patron was leaving and one table was occupied. There is a small tap bell to alert the host that someone is there. I hit the bell and the hostess came to assist me. It is choose you own table. I sat near the window and was promptly served the menu and a glass of water. After viewing the menu for a few minutes, she was back to take my order - papaya salad and chicken Pad Thai. See pictures. Both of the dishes were tasty - not the best that I have experienced but good, fresh ingredients and hit the spot! Portion sizes just enough to not over eat! Prices are reasonable too! For a small restaurant in the mountains of AZ, yes its 5 star. read more

Thai Garden - you killed it. Thank you! After a week in AZ from HI, and being on the 3rd day of the flu which decimated our appetites, we finally made it to support local. Up to this point we had tried to eat at several places in Sedona successfully completing 1/10th our food before giving up due to no appetite. Just for reference - this is absolutely NOT normal for me and the bf. Tired, after a bit of hiking and still recovering from the flu we ordered out food and sat willingly but not very hopeful after so many failed attempts to finish our food. Then the food came. It was familiar and comforting as it reminded us of home. And we at it all. All. And not just because it was familiar, it really wad surprisingly good. I was kind of doubtful being way out in a small town, but it was really well prepared. In HI, Thai restaurants can be found everywhere and they are all owned by Thai/Laos people. We eat it at least once a week. The food here was equally good. I guess being not that crowded just throws me off as in Hawaii almost all decent restaurants are max capacity at meal times. But then again maybe we were a little early because it started to fill up by the time we left. The early sunsets also throws me off. Lol 10/10 definitely be back again! read more

Over the year I have been going to this restaurant for pad Thai. This time I ordered the pad Thai with soft tofu and it was like I was eating from a different restaurant. The noodles were dry and overcooked and the sauce was different. I hope that they haven't changed anything because I felt their pad Thai was the best in verde valley. I felt that it was prepared ahead of time and then they dished it out. It came out too fast. read more

My husband and I have been faithful customers of the Thai Garden since it opened. It has historically been the best Thai restaurant we've ever been to. There has been new staff for the last six months and the service has gotten truly awful, and the food has been much less consistent. The waitstaff now clearly gets overwhelmed by small groups of customers, barely speaks a word, and sometimes does not answer the phone to take to-go orders when they are open so we either have to go there to place an order, or eat in. The food is different as well. My husband always used to order #35 which came with large cloves of fresh garlic in white sauce and now when he orders the same dish the garlic is minced from a jar and the sauce is brown. The chicken is sometimes old-tasting and chewy in the dishes, there is inedible onion peel, and we have found bone fragments as well. We are so disappointed because this used to be the best place in town to eat and now it's just not an enjoyable experience. read more

The owners are almost always working. They are very friendly and make delicious food. The wait time is a little long but definitely worth it and understandable considering their being short-staffed. It's usually quiet inside and is decorated in a quaint manner. read more

Not even 1 star. That place was horrible. I don't know who gave them the 5 stars. Maybe their family ? The server who was Thai lady so freaking rude and charged my tip by herself. Green curry was phenomenal so I ordered some pho to go. Was really surprised that it was the worst I've ever had considering how good the curry was. But it will make the choice easier next time! All in all good, friendly, quick service and good green curry. Awesome! read more

Rude, angry, & controlling lady. Doesnt hurt me as i know shes projecting her inner turmoil outward. She basically questioned everything i did/said, very confrontational. To go dinner was small, like a kids meal, i was hungry after. 2 stars as their Thai tea & coffee is yummy. read more

Yummy stop along the road to Montezuma Wells. The service was friendly and the tables clean. The Thai ice tea and coffee were refreshing. We recommend the noodle dishes, but not the yellow curry (it had too much water and wasn't even yellow). read more

Delicious food, great service, but lacking a bit regarding ambiance. I do recommend. My wife and I eat here every week or two.

I was there on Tuesday and the lady server was very rude. She was about 40-50 yrs of age. I received no place setting. She did not seem to understand what I wanted and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. I wanted a soup that was not spicey and has noodles. I had eaten there previously and was served by a young woman who was lovely. I will not be going back because I paid with cash and she couldn't even give me the coined change. On our stay out in Rima Rock, AZ, we stumbled upon this Thai Garden establishment really, off the road! Rima Rock is a stay town adjacent to Sedona and part of the Verde Valley in northern Arizona so there are not a lot of places to dine in. After reading some reviews, I decided to take the family out to this place and check it out ourselves; since we have dined at numerous Thai restaurants from Texas to California and are acclimated to the taste from these type of food -- I mean we are Cambodians after all-- Thailand is Cambodia's Neighbor! Parking is plentiful as this restaurant sits on the main road from the FWY exits so finding the place was very easy. Now, we went pretty late in the evening around 8:15pm and the restaurant closes at 8:30pm. When we got in, the waitress had to check with the chef to see if it's not too late to serve. We were very blessed and fortunate to have dine in that late because we were so hungry. The beautiful waitress got our menus, got our drinks and we went ahead and ordered our meal -- we didn't need to look at the menu since we already knew what we want -- we are simple minded Asian folks. I ordered the traditional Red Curry w/ Rice, my wife got the Thai Boat Noodles, and my son got the Pad Thai Noodles. The order came out really quick. When I glanced over to the kitchen, I spotted an elder women cooking -- you know immediately this is home cooking meal now! We finished our meal pretty quick as we didn't want to keep the place waiting for us. The food was fantastic. The Red Curry was as excellent as traditional cooking goes. Spice was just right. The Thai Boat soup base was very very good. The only thing lacking was the traditional veggies that usually supplant Thai Boat Noodles which should have been Water Spinach, Water Cress, and other exotic Asian veggies; instead, they Americanized it with Broccoli, Carrots, etc. The Pad Thai on the other hand was a bit tooo sweet. Now, this is not normally sweet of you cook it the traditional way. Sweeting the Pad Thai nowadays has become a norm for the masses because they just live sweets. Wait until you taste traditional Pad Thai -- those are home secret cooking! Other than that, the meals were great! Great presentation of food as well as the service. Our waitress really took care of us and was very patient with us even 30 minutes after closing. We'll be back to try the other items if we are in town visiting again. read more

I didn't really have much hope of getting authentic Thai food from this restaurant, since it is in Rimrock, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Panang Curry was excellent And spicy like it should be. I had the appetizer combo and it was very tasty as well. I am so happy I came to this place.! read more

Got a hotel in Rimrock area and found this amazing Thai place. Don't be deceived of its location and outside look! Really good Thai food and the server was very friendly and attending. Always delicious. I see some people complaining on here about the lady who runs it but everyone has bad days once and a while. She's always been kind to me and my order is always accurate and consistently delicious. The ambience for dine in is a little off putting as it can tend to be very quiet in there without music, but it's still a nice clean place to eat, with nice decorations. read more

However, what stood out was the discourteous and rude behavior of the staff (likely the owner lady herself). She showed scant interest while taking our orders and replied impolitely when we asked about a food item we ordered. So far, we were thinking that it probably was because of some language barrier and gave her the benefit of doubt, in discussing amongst ourselves. Now comes the petty part...for just the two of us dining, she pre-added the tip herself before presenting the check to us and gave some really lame reasons to do so. If you want authentic top notch Thai food in the verde Valley look no further than Thai Garden. I am super picky with my Thai food and after trying a few in Cottonwood that weren't up to my standards I am glad I chose here. I usually get the food to go but from what I remember their in person service was good. Their service for to go orders are great. They have never messed up on any orders despite the language barrier and food has always been delicious and fresh. I recommend trying the Thai teas, Tom Yong soup, pad Thai, fresh rolls, and sedona heatwave. Their seafood curry and papaya salad are also outstanding. I always make sure to tip and support this local small business they are really great and would hate to see the doors close. read more

One of my favorite places to eat in the Verde Valley. Tucked away from the crowds of Sedona is this hidden gem close to Montezuma's well. Friendly, unpretentious, and clean. Everything on the menu is delicious but I particularly like their style of Pad Thai. Just sweet enough and you can't beat the price! read more

This may be the best Thai food I've ever had. I'm moving up to Beaver Creek from Phoenix and was worried I wouldn't find any ethnic food up there. I'm so lucky this is in my backyard. I will probably be eating here once a week or more. Everything we had was delicious with lots of fresh Thai herbs. They must drive to Phoenix every day to get ingredients. They seem to do a very steady take out business, but we were the only ones that ate in. If the server was a little more friendly and they turned up the heat a bit they might get more eat in business. it was nicely decorated. An amazing find for a small rural community. Wow. Just wow. The curry here is soooooo good! I tried both the green and the red. I enjoyed the red just a little more but both were phenomenal. I had chicken as my protein in both. Well cooked, not rubbery. The veggies in it were slightly crisp and obviously fresh. Both had just the perfect amount of heat (spice). This curry is comfort food. I felt like a baby wrapped in the softest, warmest blanket being held in my grandmother's arms. Ugh. Perfection. I'm coming back tomorrow. read more

Best Thai in the Verde Valley, curry is on point all the time and the noodle plates are awesome as well.

It is delicious. I love the food and great customer service. We had fry rice, soup, curry, and mango sticky rice.

The g chicken and shrimp Pad Thai was amazing! Full of flavor, light, good portion. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We came across this place while staying in Monctezuma and were pleasantly surprised. The food was extremely flavorful, well prepared, and the staff was super friendly. Although we didn't dine in, we got our food to go. For a Saturday night, the wait was a lot quicker than we anticipated for how busy it was. I guess our only negative critique was they forget silverware. We can't wait to come back here next time stay in town. I personally recommend the Sedona Heatwave. It's the most flavorful curry I've ever had, with a slight kick that sneaks up on you. read more
