    A3. Summer Rolls with Shrimp

This was by far the most authentic Thai restaurant I have experienced in a long time. Absolutely delicious

The first time I came to this place I sat down and wasn't served immediately but they gave me a table and asked me to wait, and I took some telework to that table. They never got to me and eventually I decided I wasn't hungry and left. Not great. But they were doing vigorous takeout business during that time, so when I had a need I ordered takeout from them well in advance and it was ready. They offer a few vegetarian dishes, and I took a spicy tofu stir fry and a thicker curry as well as some spring rolls. I got a decent amount of actual tofu. I was a little bit peeved at the broccoli showing up in my curry that wasn't listed on the menu. The rice wasn't quite enough for the saucy dishes, and I do like the aromatic jasmine rice. Overall, though, the flavors were solid, the spicy dish was spicy. Given that I came due to a craving for Thai that my last restaurant experience let me down on, I could at least say the food here was A-OK, in Yelp terms. Sometimes, that's good enough.

Bright orange pad Thai? The chicken was bright orange too.

I'm a Thai food lover..It is by far one of my favorites. I ordered Shrimp green curry and that was fairly good. My partner got his usual, pad Thai with chicken. He asked for it spicy. We also ordered chicken satay. My partner loves that. We never received it. Instead they gave two orders of pad Thai.. not spicy. We did a phone call in order. I went over everything three times. It was a Saturday afternoon, after 3 pm but before 6pm. I ran in to pick it up, but did not check the bag. When we got home there was no chicken satay, but two very bright orange meals?? And my shrimp green curry. I figured it out that it was a dyed orange pad Thai. I say dyed as the chicken that was bright orange too. My partner lost his appetite. He would not eat it. Felt bad for him. I ate only a few bites of the orange noodle,.. it tasted like pad Thai~~ but was not spicy. We were both put off by the orange dye . I had an event after.. we just threw it away.. both orders. I did not call back as I was very clear on the phone, so if the man did not understand me then, why would he after? Why did they dye the food like that? Why was the chicken orange too? We like Thai as it is usually very fresh and clean in taste. My dear friend is from Thailand too. I've been eating Thai for 30 years, and I have never seen dyed bright orange food before. Too bad, as I adore Thai food. Ok a picture is worth one thousand words... put on your sunglasses.

This small restaurant in the heart of Downtown Roanoke is one that I've always wanted to visit and this evening I dedecided to ignore the cold and windy weather outside and go try it out. When I arrived at the restaurant it was already dark outside due to the change of time, but the restaurant looked even more attractive than in the daytime due to the brilliant lights coming out from their window. They had a copy of their extensive menu posted on one of their walls next to the entrance of the restaurant. As I entered the restaurant the decor itself has a taste of Thailand. It was like entering into another world. The host / server greeted me warmly and asked me to sit in any table I liked. I picked one near the center of the dining room area. It had a copy on the menu on it. To start off with I ordered a Virgin Pina Colada to drink. As an appetizer I ordered the Thai Sausage. And as the main entrée I ordered the Prik-Pao Noodles with Pork. All the food was so looked and tasted amazingly tasty and delicious. As I ate several people came to pick up takeout orders as well as others to eat in. You could tell this place had some steady customers, and others new like me.For dessert I ordered the Sticky Rice with Mango. It didn't disappoint me at all. Delicious. Thai cuisine has a very special taste and this restaurant knows it and delivers. I encourage all those who want to share this taste to try it out. Once you do I can assure you you'll want to return for more.

It was pretty good. We went hiking and found this restaurant. We were lucky that found a free parking spot on the street. Just a little bit walk but really enjoyed the street. This place got a lot of drinks and the service was good. The food was a little bit sweet to me but it was pretty good. I usually eat spicy food. Maybe I should try spicy curry next time.

Worst Lo Mein I have ever had in my life. For $20 each with tip, It literally looks like they cook a pack of ramen noodles and throw crap in it. Soggy Ramen noodle soup with a few vegetables thrown in. I will NEVER eat ANYTHING from this place again and I have no idea how they are open. Legitimately the WORST FOOD from a restaurant I have ever had in my life.

Cute space, especially the patio. The Tom kha and papaya salad are delicious. Need to go back and try more of the menu.

I did go with a friend and we were very impressed. So much so that I gave it a 5 Star review. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that it would be appropriate this year to go back to this restaurant and write a follow-up review. So today, I invited my friend who had invited me last year to go with me to give this restaurant another try, because consistency is what gives a restaurant its success, and helps develop its good reputation. We arrived and the small, clean, and cozy restaurant was still there, under a beautiful blue sky with white clouds. Outside in the small porch it had two tables with chairs for people who preferred eating outdoors on a nice Summer day. It was a hot day so we decided to eat indoors under the comfort of the air-condition. As soon as we walked inside a young lady warmly greeted and welcomed us and took us to our table. Soon after we reviewed the already familiar menu we both ordered a glass of iced water to drink. On a hot day there is nothing like a glass of nice cold water to quench the thirst. To eat we both also ordered the Pork Pad Thai. This traditional Thai dish had rice noodles, eggs, bean sprouts, green onions, and pork, with peanut and lime on the side.we both didn't want it too spicy hot so we asked for a #2 spicyness. Not long afterwards our dishes arrived. The presentation was simple, yet clean and appetizing. Everything looked so fresh and appetizing. And tasted amazing. Our server came by to check on us with a smile to see if everything was to our satisfaction and we told her it was. Everything so far was far exceeding our highest expectation. The food was so savory and the pieces of pork were so lean and fresh. I also loved the feel of the rice noodles and the taste of the grind peanuts. Even though the dining room was small, it didn't take long for itn to get full while we were eating, and we saw other customers come in to pick up Takeout orders. A lot of the seemed like repeat customers. It seemed like this small family-owned and run restaurant was getting the right attention and had become successful mostly through word of mouth, ju DrWe were very happy to see this. For dessert we both ordered the Coconut Ice-cream with Fried Bananas. It was wonderful. In conclusion I gave another 5 Stars to this restaurant and I highly recommend it to all those who enjoy Thai food or would like to try it. You'll be glad you did.

The service was good, and since we arrived around 4 PM, the restaurant was very quiet and not crowded. However, the food fell short of expectations, and unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to recommend this restaurant based on my experience. We started with the dumplings, which were gummy and not properly seared. The texture was unpleasant, and after trying one, I couldn't continue eating them. For my main course, the vegetables had an unusual flavor, and the noodles were heavily drenched in oil, making the dish difficult to enjoy. I wasn't able to finish it. My partner ordered the duck (no photo available), and while the presentation was nice, he found the texture overly chewy. He ended up pouring extra sauce over the dish just to finish it. On a positive note, both the Thai tea and Thai green tea were very enjoyable. We even ordered refills, which are offered at half price--a nice touch and probably the highlight of our visit. Overall, while the service, ambiance, and beverages were good, the food quality did not meet our expectations.
