Upon a cold, gray January afternoon, my friend and I found ourselves hungry, having hooped the whole afternoon. Thai Cuisine appeared like a dream and into that dream we walked. The joint is pleasant. They play good music, and the walls are decorated with posters of the menu's items. We were seated and waited upon quite quickly. The menu is large but not overwhelming. Before we'd ordered, we were brought bowls of Coconut Soup. Never in all my days of eating and cooking have I tasted a soup so fine, so balanced, so warming and charming as this coconut soup. The day was no longer gray. I noticed the clouds of my heart part and evaporate as the steam rolled off the top of the soup. After ordering, we sipped and sat. Within 5 minutes BOOM our food had arrived. I had the drunken noodles at a level 5 of spice, and my buddy had the Pad Thai at a 4. As a gringo, I have an alright tolerance for spice. This 5, however, whooped me. It was delicious yet challenging, like deadlifting 425 with no belt. A 4 is maybe best for the average joe. Overall, buddy and I had a grand time. Came here based on reviews found on Yelp and google - and I have to say I was pretty disappointed with my food. I ordered the spicy shrimp pad Thai and the Thai tea. I found the tea to be very sweet compared to others I've had an the pad Thai wasn't spicy to my liking. The food was fresh but wasn't as flavourful as I'd hope for it to be, and the one thing I look forward too when eating Thai food is the peanut sauce which I didn't get any of! Where we live on the west coast, we have tons of great Thai options to choose from...so we tried to temper our expectations. We ordered the Chicken Satay & Basil Fried Rice with chicken. The satay was tender and delicious. The Basil Fried Rice could have used more basil for my taste, but was quite good as well. I like my Thai food pretty spicy. Out west, I'd order a 3/5 spicy level. I ordered Lao style papaya salad and it was absolutely disgusting. As soon as I opened the container it reeked like fish that hasn't been cleaned. Padaek (fermented fish sauce) has a smell, yes, but it doesn't smell dirty or nasty like this dish did. I don't know why on God's earth I decided to still proceed to taste it bc that was a mistake. Not sure why it is underrated, this is the place to go for this food in the area. There are a lot of options for. Vegetarians, their cooking seems to be more of home made style, I love the aroma and taste. We have ordered, Thai basil rice, phad Thai, And egg plant stir fry, veg spring rolls and Thai basil rolls. Pad Thai is loaded with a sauce I've never had on pad thai. It was not tasty. No carrots or other vegetables. Basically noodles with this weird sauce. Peanuts were sitting in the sauce so no crunch. read more

Picked up take out from here last night, a Friday around 4:30. Cute place, immediately greeted by a friendly staff member. Helped me with the menu. I ordered fresh basil rolls, maasaman curry and a pad thai. Everything was great, but what we were especially excited about was the thick, tasty peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls. So delicious. Took less than 10 min to get my order and it was very well priced for the portions. Ill be back for sure. read more

Dinner for a family of 7 adults. We got there early (5pm) so we were the only ones. The server was great - very attentive, made suggestions and paid close attention. As we sat there, people came in and out picking up to-go orders and a few couples eventually sat in to eat as well. They took our orders and brought us soup on the house. It was a curry coconut soup. The flavor was great, but too salty for me and I couldn't finish a small bowl. The springrolls (aka eggrolls) and freshrolls (aka springrolls were nice. They provided two dipping sauces for the freshrolls which were both very tasty - sweet, savory and an acidic kick. Amongst the 7 of us we ordered Lao style papaya salad, some curries, some fried rice, drunken noodles and a variety of stir fries. I didn't taste the papaya salad, but it wasn't dark and gritty enough to be considered Lao style. We expected more fermented kapi crab sauce. The curries were very tasty, but again, too salty, therefore I must deduct a star because I couldn't finish my meal nor take it home. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. We had the chicken drunken noodles and the crispy noodles and both dishes were the best Thai food we have ever and both dishes were the best Thai food we have ever had. Super authentic. All of the ingredients for very fresh vegetables were cooked perfectly and not greasy like a lot of restaurants. Holy Curry, Batman! I ate here a little over a year ago and it was terrible. Really terrible. But, when i heard that the management had changed, i wanted to give it another shot... let me break the experience down for you. 1. Waitress comes to take my order in broken english. Waitress doesn't speak English well? Excellent. This is always a good sign. So I'm getting pretty excited. 2. I don't even look at the poorly laminated menu, I Immediately order 4-star red curry. If a Thai resturant can't red curry, they probably can't Thai resturant very well in general. 3. My water with "a bowl of lemons" comes back. It's a bowl of limes. Upon my asking, I discover that they don't even know what lemons are. This, too, is a good sign. So I'm getting pretty excited. 4. Out comes the adorable little balls of rice on plates. Shortly after, they deliver my red curry. I immediately notice some foreign pieces to the red curry ensemble. Uh-oh. Little zigzaggy carrots and little baby corncobs. As an equal - opportunity curry consumer, I'm okay with this. 5. The curry was absolutely... delicious. Perfectly done. Best red curry I have had in a very VERY long time-- and I eat a TON of red curry. The adventurous blend of veggies melded perfectly with the creamy curry sauce and chicken. The coconut milk stood out just enough to be noticed nut not enough to overpower the spices, which is seldom done correctly with curry dishes. 6. Bloated and satisfied, I sign the recipt and waddle back to my car to write a yelp review. I suppose I should wrap this up. Personally, I was just incredibly excited to get a unique and delicious curry experience here in NWA. As far as the rest of the experience goes, it was (albeit less important) pretty good. The waitress kept or water full while remaining almost invisible. The one downside was that, like most Thai resturants around here, they never give a white man the true 4 or 5 star spice unless you ask twice. But that can be remedied easily. Go get some curry.
