I have never been to Thai Curry in person, but this is my go to delivery spot. I found them through Yelp Delivery and it is by far my favorite meal to have from the comfort of my couch. Delivery is free which was what initially attracted me to them, but the food is what keeps me coming back. My go to favorites are the crispy vegetarian rolls, fried wontons, and red curry. The fried wontons are similar to crab rangoon minus the crab which is the way I like them. The sweet and sour sauce that comes with the wontons and rolls is super tasty. All the food is so good, always served hot and fresh, and delivered in less than an hour. The portions are sizable and one order is easily two meals. I'm excited to try more and even go in person soon! read more

Spring roll was tasty but cold. The green curry chicken was hot and tasty but when I was almost finished, I saw it had a piece of brownish gray mystery meat in it. My coworker jumped when they saw it! On top of that, the food did not agree with my stomach. This place has some of the cheaper prices around for thai food. It's certain not the best place, but they do fast casual well. There is one major caveat to this -- the add ons are ridiculously over priced. For example you pay three dollars for three, small shrimp -- that comes out to $1 per shrimp. I ordered takeout through Yelp on a Monday around 8pm - it was a little concerning at first when the app said that my food would be ready for pickup in 45-50 min...but it quickly updated to 13 minutes. I arrived on time and my food was already waiting for me. The entire process was very quick and efficient. I ordered tofu drunken noodle (a little spicy). It was a pretty good amount of food but I felt like it was super oily (more so than other drunken noodle?). My tofu was like soaked in it...but other than that, very good! Ordered delivery from this place and was disappointed. The drunken noodles were so bland even though I said medium spicy, and they were drowning in oil, sauce and water. The rice was super soggy, and the chocolate cake I ordered was basically melted. My friend didn't like his pad Thai either and instead of putting extras in the entrees, they just put it on the side which was just super inconvenient and counter productive. Love going here for happy hour! The drink selection is somewhat limited but good. The appetizers are priced super cheaply during happy hour and everything is fresh and delicious. We ordered a couple of appetizers to try and both of us thought that the Thai dumplings were fantastic. The crispy spring rolls were also very good. My husband had Yum Nuer (Thai beef salad) and he was glad that he was able to order it extra spicy. He loved it. I had the beef pad thai. It was very tasty and had a lot of meat and vegetables, however, it was very dry. I would order it again but ask for it to me a bit saucier. After a long day in the sun, I didn't want to go anywhere so we ended up ordering takeout from Thai Curry through UberEats. Since it was my first time using UberEats, I received $15 off my order, bringing a $30 order down to $15. This was about what I felt our meals were worth, so I cannot complain. If I were paying full price (or worse, been dining in), I would have not been a happy camper. My fiance ordered the pad thai with pork and I ordered the jungle curry with chicken. The positives: good amount of meat in each, packaged very well, napkins and utensils included, portions large, plenty of veggies in the curry. The negatives: where was the spice???!!! The Jungle Curry is always labeled as spicy and, on a 1-10 scale, this was about a 1.5-very bland actually. I am happy that we ordered takeout so we could spice it up ourselves at home! The pad thai with pork was the same. While not expecting spicy from pad thai, it was just bland and flavorless. The spices added at home made both dishes tasty, but if we had not had access to our spice rack, I think we would have been sorely disappointed. Delivery time on a Saturday night through UberEats was about 30-40 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. I'm not sure I would order from here again though due to the blandness of the food. I am glad I was able to use the $15 off credit to lessen the blow of a disappointing meal. After living in Clarendon for a little over a year, Thai Curry has become a staple. This is a fabulous little Thai restaurant off of Glebe. They offer pretty much any Thai dish that you could ever want or hope to order. They make a mean curry and the service is always great. I've only been in the restaurant a few times, but every time it's been quiet, fast, and delicious. Eating in the restaurant is a peaceful, pleasant experience and there's never a bad wait. They do free delivery which is great for people in the surrounding area and I definitely defaulted to take out more than anything else. Their delivery is quick and easy and the food always comes fresh, hot, and well packaged. This is a great place if you don't feel like cooking, need food for a big group, or just love Thai food. Extremely efficient ordering/picking-up, and the food was delicious! Some previous reviews commented on small portion sizes, but my dinner was enough for two meals and reasonably priced at $12. This is primarily for the delivery service. I order from here about once a week. The food is pretty consistent and my go-to for thai food in the area. Unfortunately, it seems the delivery service in the past few weeks has gone downhill. It has taken an hour and a half a couple of times, and much longer that the estimated delivery time. I actually live pretty close to the restaurant, and I make sure I avoid ordering close to their mid-day or evening closing times (in other words, I typically do not order during busy hours). By the time the food arrives, I've usually just had something else for dinner. I've given them a chance a few times, but now I fear I must find a new spot for my weekly thai indulgence. I used to count on them for pretty consistent and prompt delivery, but now I feel like I would get my order faster if I had it shipped over directly from Thailand. read more

Wow. This really impressed me. We got the veggie gyozas, veggie spring rolls, papaya salad, green curry, and sweet and sour curry. Dayum. The papaya salad was ginger-y and vinegary and just all around lovely. The spring rolls were still crispy and had nice flavor. I loved the chili sauce that came with them. The gyoza was the least flavorful but I still enjoyed the textures and teriyaki sauce. The sweet and sour curry was amazing. The sweet pineapple counteracts the sour/savory flavor of the cucumbers, scallions, and tomatoes. The green curry was equally delicious. The sauce is so rich, creamy, and savory. I loved the soft eggplant and fried tofu. The tomatoes and green beans added delicious flavor as well. I am definitely going to make some papaya salad this week, 'cause I'm already craving more. Side note: we used UberEATS and it only took 33 minutes! That's how long it would take ME to go get it and come back - totally worth it. I was a first time user and got $15 off. Extra bonus! I used to love this place! Their food is amazing, so delicious, especially their chicken penang curry. Recently though they have gone from being a winner to a bit of a disappointment. I ordered from them on Saturday night and it took over two hours to get my food delivered, understandably there can be traffic but I live close to the restaurant, about 5 minutes away, so it should not have taken two hours to get my food. My biggest disappointment is that this place have changed their serving sizes. They halved their serving size but still charged the same amount for the dish. I don't mind if a place changes their serving sizes, but then reduce the price. I disagree with being ripped off by paying the same amount for half the amount of food. I've been ordering from here for a year now and this is the first time I have been given a portion half the size of what I usually get. I know it was half the size as it came in a much smaller container than previously. I certainly hope this is a once off and not a permanent change to this restaurant, otherwise I will be forced to find a new Thai place. read more

Since they offered me free food I couldn't just get it without purchasing anything else so I ordered the same fried rice to give it another try and it was completely different than the last one. Solid take-out/delivery Thai food in Arlington. I've also eaten in the restaurant and it was fine, though the ambiance is nothing to rave about. It's often pretty quiet and a bit sterile inside. It's a small restaurant with a handful of tables. Located in a small strip mall off of Glebe, parking is a bit tight and depending on time of day, can be difficult. The food is tasty though, and the prices are about right for Arlington (read: Arlington is overpriced for everything). The Penang curry is my go-to, and has plenty of coconut milk to make it creamy and smooth. I usually add both chicken and veggies to it so that it is nice and hearty. Came here for dinner last night after craving some Thai food and we did not regret the decision! They have an ongoing 3 course meal for $15-18 depending on what you want. Ordered the kapow, yellow curry, wonton soup, Tom yum, taro balls, and fried bananas. Wow- this was an absolute meal deal to steal! To be honest I was very surprised at the quality of the dinner- it was authentic and not too sweet. Flavors were perfect. Further, the quantity was very very large - you will definitely have plenty to take home. (The appetizer alone filled us up!). They can turn up the heat really easily on the spiciness but were extremely accommodating. I ordered all of my dishes with low spiciness level and was not bothered at all by the spice. The service was also very attentive! Only note to consider is that parking is few and a bit tight, but otherwise this is a great place for a quick bite or a casual evening out with a friend or a loved one! read more

After running past this shopping center and noticing the new sign and seemingly remodeled interior, I was eager to try Thai Curry as part of my Thai Tour of Arlington. Thai Curry was previously Bangkok Siam, a dungeon like slop heap that is not likely missed. Under new ownership, a good sum of money was poured into interior remodeling, resulting in a modern, chic interior with interesting textures, lighting, features, and a great looking bar. They have done a lot with this relatively narrow space in an aging strip center. At this point, the interior of Thai Curry rivals Bangkok 54 for best, most upscale Thai interior in the area. But looks can only go far - the food has to live up to expectations also. Luckily, it came through with flying colors. The Bangkok yellow curry with chicken was incredibly complex and flavorful, with many different layers of flavor that hit the tongue. The drunken noodles are tasty without being too oily - the only complaint is that it could use a bit more heat. The service was attentive and friendly, with the owner coming out to check on us. On a dreary Sunday night, there was a decent crowd here creating an attractive atmosphere. I should also note that Thai Curry is the first establishment to utilize Yelp Check-Ins the way they should. They are rewarding frequent Yelp visitors by giving 15% off the already reasonable bill after two check-ins are logged. This is a great way to engage Yelpers and I'd like to see more restaurants go this route. Thai Curry is in the upper echelon of Arlington Thai restaurants and I'm hoping the owners' apparent investment into the remodel and shrewd usage of Yelp social media pay off. read more

I came here with my family and ordered several dishes. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant (albeit a little cramped, as the dine-in space is small) and the food was decent. The drunken noodles had excellent flavor, but the beef that came with them was tough and had an off-taste (like it had just come out of being the freezer for awhile). The spicy eggplant with minced chicken was good - probably my favorite dish of the night. The crispy duck with basil also had good flavor, but the breading and frying left it tasting very heavy. Overall, the food was tasty, but it is far from the best Thai food I have had. I wasn't WOWed, and I am not sure that it warranted a return visit.
