I ordered takeout from this place and was amazed by how GREAT the food was! I got a green Thai curry (no fish sauce, as I'm vegetarian) and vegetarian spring rolls. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious, and the sweet chili sauce they came with was the perfect complement. The Thai Green curry was probably one of the best I've had! It was the perfect marriage of sweetness from the coconut milk, and spice. They added plenty of vegetables and the portion was generous. I live a short drive away from the restaurant, so the delivery was pretty quick! The food was still warm when I received it. I am very surprised by the four star review of this restaurant. We ordered takeout and brought it home to eat and ended up throwing away half of the food because it was so bad. We ordered pork Gyoza, chive dumplings, beef with water chestnuts, and crab fried rice. The food was so bland and oversalted, it was almost inedible. Very disappointing food. Pork dumplings were crusty but the worst was the beef and water chestnuts. Maybe we caught them on a bad night or there is a new sous chef because there are so many other positive reviews. I figured I would try this spot out as I recently moved here and enjoy Thai food. The food was alright. The wonton soup is $5, tiny, and double the price of other places. There was a piece of plastic wrap inside my soup that I almost ate but noticed while I was chewing it wasn't right. That is absolutely disgusting. Nothing I ordered had plastic wrap so I have no idea where it came from. And having almost eaten it makes me feel like eating here again would be unsafe. I really enjoyed this place. They have halal chicken options, which comes out to be very juicy and flavorful for chicken. I had the Panang Curry, which was much less sweet than the ones I've had in the past. I don't recommend asking them to make it any spicier as it already comes with a decent kick (also the spice levels tend to be a little dramatic). The Thai iced tea was refreshing, and not too heavy. However the place is a little small, so fair warning before you bring a larger party in there I would call ahead. The lunch portion was pretty big (I had to take the leftovers home), service was fast/easy, and the place was clean. The only con here is the parking is ridiculously tiny. I now pronounce you King of all Arlington Thai restaurants. Thai Curry beats out Bangkok 54, Thai Kitchen, and any other Thai place in the area; it's simply better. Thai Curry has more authentic dishes by far; don't forget to ask for the Thai menu! Service is prompt and helpful, portions are large and aren't stingy on the veggies, ambiance is trendy and nice. Pink noodle soup: The soup is actually pink! The second this great bowl of noodles is set down on the table before you, you smell how fragrant the dish is, sweet and tangy with slight pungent tones from the fish sauce used. Order it with the wide rice noodles. It comes with squid, plenty of veggies, fried tofu, fried wonton skin, fishballs, and little bits of crunchy fried pork. Not many places do the fried pork bits since it takes time to get them fried dark and crunchy enough- she said Thai people always ask for extra! My only suggestion would be to make the soup slightly more drinkable, less strong. Green curry: Best green curry in the area. Less sweet than most, with a good balance of flavor- spicy, sweet, savory, creamy. Ginger tilapia: For ginger lovers only. The ginger slices could be thinner, but they add a nice spice along with the bell peppers and onions. They give you plenty of tilapia slices, fried and delicious. I did get a feeling that the fish could be a little fresher. But great nonetheless. My only regret was that I didn't leave room to try the mango sticky rice dessert! read more

Really terrific Thai food. The place is in a moderately shady appearing shopping center, and took the place of an awful Thai restaurant, Bangkok Siam. In fact, the neon sign above the building still has the name of the old place. Yuck. It appears the new owners dumped a fair amount of cash on the remodeling, and, much more importantly, actually hired someone who can cook Thai food. I had the fried papaya salad (have been eating Thai for years and have never seen this item fried), and it was exceptional. I've frequented the excellent Thai places on Columbia Pike, as well as Rabieng, and have consistently been pleased. However, with Thai Curry in walking distance from my house, I will be staying closer to home for my weekly Thai fix. The service could not have been better, and I'm looking forward to becoming a regular. read more

I've had their food before and really enjoyed the curry. But delivery took a very long time. I thought they were just busy as it was dinner rush. Today I ordered lunch for my friend and I at 115pm. The food was delivered 2:31pm and the food was cold... We ordered crab wanton and they were soggy not crispy - I can only assume from being steamed in the bad for an hour... We ordered the thai fried rice medium heat with shrimp and combination meat and it was cold. Also got the Curry which has a little warmth in it but still needed to to be re-heated. Once heated up, the food was ok. I've had thai fried rice before and I think they need to add more seasoning. The curry had a good creamy taste but lacked heat. I came to Thai Curry because of a Groupon and the good reviews, but I found myself disappointed. I was there on a weekday afternoon for lunch, and service was friendly, but really slow considering that it wasn't crowded at all. For every other Thai restaurant I've been to, they either ask you how spicy you want your food, or it's really spicy by default. At Thai Curry, they did neither, and it was sad and disappointing. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't spicy AT ALL, which to me makes it not really Thai food. This was true for everything we ordered: larb, papaya salad, and two curries. The sticky rice we had for dessert was really good, but the accompanying mango was of questionable quality and poor texture. To speak more about authenticity, Thai food is eaten with a large spoon and fork, but here, they had a knife and fork, which made it difficult to eat. Alternatively, they had chopsticks available for those who asked for them, which aren't used to eat Thai food in Thailand but are rather kept for patrons who either wish to show off that they can use them and/or don't know they don't use them in Thailand. The main plus is that the restaurant is really nice on the inside despite looking crappy from the outside, so maybe it would make a nice date spot for people who don't like spicy food. read more

The spring rolls were stone cold - not lukewarm because of the delivery lead time (delivery was prompt anyway), but cold as in they had been sitting out for a long time. It's cute for a small date with the boyfriend, probably not ideal for a family gathering. The lunch special came with a soup and egg roll for $9. Had to walk up to the service desk to put in our order. The only thing I didn't like. The soup was so delicious. The Panang was just right, not too spicy. Very filling and great for the price it was. We came here tonight and was surprised to find it empty for a Friday night. We had the restaurant to ourselves and the ambiance was pretty nice. The decor was actually pretty modern. The food was also pretty good. We had two appetizers (duck roti, and steamed thai dumplings) and a soup (tom yum kong) to start. My girlfriend got the honey roast duck with clear noodles while I got the green curry with beef. The duck roti was really good and the dumplings were great as well. The sauce is sweet with a hint of spiciness which went with the dumplings pretty well. The green curry was recommended to me by the waitress and it was actually pretty spicy. I would not recommend it if you can't handle spiciness. The honey roasted duck noodles were pretty good too. Would've wished the duck was more on the medium rare side but still good nonetheless. We ended the meal with a mango sticky rice. I love mango sticky rice and the rice was really good. The mango was not quite as ripe as I had hoped, but seeing as it was early april (not quite mango season yet), it was pretty good. Entrees: Panang Curry - bigger dish than other places. Typical taste with a nice little kick to it. Beef Pad Thai - it was okay, very typical as well. Since my last review I've had Thai Curry food 3 more times (2 delivery) Tom Kha Gai - full of flavor, lots of chicken and mushroom, make sure not to chew on the lemongrass or ginger. Fried Papaya Salad - indeed, delicious. crispy, juicy, fresh, and lots of it. Pad Thai - one of the best versions I've had. I went in to eat on a Monday night with my friend and the inside was completely empty, but this definitely wasn't a problem! They were preparing a bunch of take out orders and more people came in while we were eating. The vegetable gyozas are super tasty, and I really enjoyed my vegetable pad thai! The Thai food here is great, and it never disappoints. I ordered the fried calamari which was delicious. The sweet and sour sauce always pairs well with it. For my entree, I got the spicy eggplant with minced chicken. It was a bit spicy, but very flavorful and a great dish that I highly recommend. It comes with rice. The service here is quick, and this place is never packed, so no waiting. Also the prices are relatively cheap as well. Another great visit to thai curry. We had a early dinner so there were plenty of tables. We ordered fried dumplings, sizzling beef and combo ka praw basil. I think my favorite fried dumplings are from here. It reminds me of the steamed dumplings you get at dim sum. The sizzling beef came sizzling to the table and was tender and had great flavor. The ka praw was delicious too but was on the spicy side for me. Only downside to this location is the parking. Its very limited and spots all tight so be before. read more

I have never been to Thai Curry in person, but this is my go to delivery spot. I found them through Yelp Delivery and it is by far my favorite meal to have from the comfort of my couch. Delivery is free which was what initially attracted me to them, but the food is what keeps me coming back. My go to favorites are the crispy vegetarian rolls, fried wontons, and red curry. The fried wontons are similar to crab rangoon minus the crab which is the way I like them. The sweet and sour sauce that comes with the wontons and rolls is super tasty. All the food is so good, always served hot and fresh, and delivered in less than an hour. The portions are sizable and one order is easily two meals. I'm excited to try more and even go in person soon! read more
