I also was really excited about a sit-down Chinese place, because I just don't see that very often. There are a tables, but it's most definitely mostly a takeout place. I would not go expecting ambiance or a "dining experience ": most of the tables appeared to not have been bussed in a while, plasticware, and sodas in cans. The gal at the register did her best at service while also handling the super busy takeout business! The large Wonton /Veg soup was huge! Sooo many vegetables, which was exactly what I needed. Sadly I do not recommend the ribs though. Also huge, and they were unfortunately dry. But I shaved them off the bone and added them in my soup leftovers. A hole in a wall in a strange strip shopping center like complex. Extremely weird building. Park up top, not in the garage. The entrance/exit is oddly shaped and you will scrape the bottom of your car exiting. Has inside and outside seating but this is more a to go spot. My son and I came in on a Friday for lunch before going to the Capitals game downtown. Luckily, we were still in time to order the lunch special with is entree, choice of rice (white or fried) and a spring roll. Drinks not included. Drinks are bottle soda, water, beer and etc... Service was good. The chefs seem to be older Chinese dudes. I guess that's a good sign. They freshly prepare the food as you order. Takes about 4-5 minutes. My son got beef n broc with fried rice & spring roll. He devoured it. That means it's good. He says 9/10 I got the Hunan Chicken with white rice & spring roll. The food was piping hot. The veggies were cooked nicely and still had some crunch. The chicken was cooked in a slightly spicy soybean chili paste sauce. Was salty & little sweet 'n spicy. The spring roll was the highlight. For the cost and convenience this place certainly delivers. There is comfortable seating and a clean, larger than average restroom towards the rear. Whatever Muzak they are playing is not annoying either. If you have the time, I recommend eating in as the food comes out hot and fresh. The vermicelli noodles were dripping in sesame oil and sloppily coated in chili paste, overpowered by curry powder and lacking in spices. The Bean Curd Homestyle was a total miss, the veggies were swimming in this clear liquid sauce and made for terrible leftovers. The fried Bean Curd tofu was tough and hard to chew. I was waiting for my tires to get fixed at the next door Goodyear store so I went out to get some Chinese food here. I was greeted by the staff and seated quickly. I ordered the typical General Tso's chicken and it was served in 5 minutes! The serving size was really huge for one person that I had to take some home. It came with broccoli and rice. I received an Uber Eats gift card and discovered that there were lots of new restaurants I've never tried because they weren't associated with DoorDash, and Wok N Roll was one of them. I'm a creature of habit so I said let me try my go to healthy Chinese food routine (Shrimp and Mixed Veg w/ egg drop soup) and see what Wok N Roll's version delivers. WELL! I was pleasantly surprised as the egg drop soup had a nice surprise of fresh corn kernels in it and the flavor overall was perfect, in addition to the Shrimp w Mixed Veg having a nice addition of Napa cabbage with lots of shrimp and delightfully mild flavor to the sauce. Even the crispy noodles they sent to go with the soup were different than the ones you typically get. I think I may have found a new favorite Chinese takeout spot! This place is awful to veterans with disabilities. I have a service dog and was told to leave because they don't allow dogs. I explained that he was a service dog and was told I could eat outside on the sidewalk with my dog. I told them that was illegal and they told me to leave. Wow the orange chicken lunch special is good here. The chicken is cooked korean style (bonchon, kyochon, etc.), and the orange sauce is not overwhelmingly sweet and salty relatively compared to Panda Express. Really amazing and it's a sleeper on the menu. Don't overlook it as it is the go-to dish here, in my opinion. My wife always gets the pepper steak. And the shrimp egg rolls that come with this is perfect (for Sammy!) I've been to this location a few times while going with my wife to her doctor visits for pregnancy. This was our "go to" Chinese takeout place. We typically order the same food each time we go. I was highly disappointed in the fried wontons. I paid $13 for two orders of fried wrappers. It barely stuffing. I literally couldn't taste the pork or any sort of meat. You will see in the pictures what I found when I pulled the wonton apart. What I saw or tasted couldn't be possibly be called stuffing. This was one of our favorite appetizers and have ordered it on numerous occasions. Though the rest of the food (general Tso, triple delight and beef broccoli) we ordered tonight was to its normal quality I couldn't help but feel cheated. Can't say I really enjoyed our experience. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. We ordered for delivery and we may have been pushing their 3 mile delivery radius since the delivery guy had no clue where we lived even with the exact address. I had to explain where I lived and how to get here just like pre-GPS days. He came earlier than the estimated time though. When he arrived he told me it was his first time at my building. I tip him generously for the trouble. General Tso Chicken was a monumental disappointment. As you can see, the 12 pieces of chicken was neatly arranged in 3 rows of 4. At $12 this immediately doesn't seem to be such a great value. Then there comes the taste; It was a bit sour and not as sweet as what I'm typically used to. Singapore Noodles - The strong curry and spicy flavors kick you pretty good; however, after shoveling in forks full of this stuff into our mouths, we realize the small shrimp that was used had a completely mushy texture. It was pretty disgusting. Plus the meat used in it also had a funky taste to it. Triple Delight - was not great, but not terrible. Aside from not really tasting like other places, we didn't have anything to complain about like we did with the other dishes. The fried rice was a joke. Just colored rice with tiny specks of scrambled eggs, not even one piece of vegetable. Post pandemic, everyone is charging obscene delivery fees and adding mandatory tips. But not here - the delivery fee is so reasonable I tip generously in appreciation of that fact alone. I used to frequent this establishment years ago when I worked close by. Recently decided to see if they deliver and it was the best experience. My food came so fast, it was still piping hot. And, amazingly tasted exactly the same and was as delicious as I remembered. One order didn't have an item and they brought it so quickly and included a drink for free which was a nice touch. I would recommend wok n roll for anyone in the area looking for fast and tasty Chinese food (especially during lunch). The food is nothing amazing but it's definitely tasty. If you come during lunch time go for their lunch special list which comes with a sizeable portion of your entree of choice with rice and an egg roll. My favorite dishes here include: general tso's chicken, triple delight (chicken, beef, and shrimp), sweet and sour pork, and the shrimp fried rice. You'll find that the place is often very busy during lunch time so feel free to place your order ahead of time if you're in a rush. METAL IN MY DUMPLING!! I give this place no stars. Customer service is bleak, the food I got was eh, and well.... I found a shard of METAL in my dumpling. Immediately stopped eating and after work (got food during my lunch break), I took it over with evidence in hand. The young lady at the front seemed more shocked than what I could make out is the manager. He said, 'it looks like the metal from the packaging' referring to where the dumplings were. Yes.... But this piece of metal was INSIDE the dumpling! My gum still hurts from bitting down on it, and God knows where that piece of metal came from. I can only hope I don't get an infection. We drove by it a number of times (we live down the street) and always wondered. Finally my wife suggested that rather than cook, we should find the menu we found in our mailbox and call in an order. The order was just three dishes and the person told us that it would be ready in 20 min. Fifteen minutes later I walked in the door, told the counter person my last name and within a minute I was handed my order. Usually the food is fine at Wok 'n Roll however I ordered Moo Shu Pork last night and instead of Moo Shu pancakes I was given flour tortillas! Trust me when I say this is not an adequate substitute. Ever since, I have been struggling to find a place that will meet the expectations of that place. Sadly, tonight, this place just didn't get the job done. The dumplings were definitely lacking in filling... It had more dough than filling, which was definitely disappointing. The Singapore rice noodles were bland... very little vegetables and like 3 pieces of chicken for the WHOLE CONTAINER!
