I have been on cloud 9 since dinner, seriously euphoric. I ate far too much and I want to turn around and go right back! This place could get me in trouble. I'm KICKING myself for not coming here sooner! This restaurant dropped from my radar years ago after too many poor quality dishes (as the King and I). When the new ownership took over I continued to keep my distance for fear of the same quality. We finally decided to brave it out with the new owners and I'm so happy we did! The owner greeted us at the door, took us straight to a small table with super comfortable chairs. I've been fairly disappointed with most local Thai restaurants, actually most Tri-Cities restaurants in general. I ordered the Pad Ka-Pao veggie with mushrooms instead of green beans. I could smell the dish before it arrived to the table and I couldn't help but smile. I've been searching all over the Tri-Cities for a good basil chicken or veggie and I have FINALLY found it. The Pad Thai was good too, very fresh and I don't normally enjoy Pad Thai. I have so many favorites I have yet to try, I can't wait! The black rice pudding was absolutely perfect too, it was the perfect end to an amazingly fresh, hot delicious Pak Ka-Pao. I'm already planning my next trip back and am pretty sure the Drunken Noodles will be on the order.The service was great and the food was outstanding. It is comparable if not better than my favorite Thai in Seattle. WE NEED MORE RESTAURANTS LIKE THESE! read more

I brought my family here hoping for a nice Thai meal and left feeling disrespected, hungry, and completely ripped off. First, when placing our order, the server made unsolicited and deeply offensive comments about the amount of food we ordered, making rude remarks about me and my family that were hurtful and completely unprofessional. There is absolutely no excuse for staff to comment on or shame customers for what they choose to order. The food itself was a disaster -- we found hair in our dishes, several items arrived cold, and nothing was seasoned to the spice level we requested. When we politely asked for our order to be corrected, the server became argumentative and refused to fix the mistakes. Rather than getting a manager or resolving the issue calmly, she escalated the situation further, which made for an incredibly uncomfortable and hostile environment for my whole family. On top of all this, the prices are steep for what is genuinely poor quality food and even worse service. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We will not be returning, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before dining here. read more

Ese tipo de comportamiento es completamente inapropiado y no tiene cabida en ningún establecimiento. Los problemas no terminaron ahí. Al revisar los platos, encontramos cabellos en la comida, varios platillos estaban fríos y el nivel de picante no era para nada lo que habíamos solicitado. Al pedir que corrigieran los errores, la mesera reaccionó de manera agresiva, se negó a ayudarnos y encima llamó a un familiar para enfrentarse a nosotros, convirtiendo una situación simple en un conflicto innecesario y muy incómodo para toda mi familia. My family and I came here looking forward to a good Thai meal and walked out feeling humiliated, disappointed, and robbed of our money. From the moment we placed our order, things went downhill fast. The server took it upon herself to make degrading comments about how much food we ordered, insulting my family in a way that was completely uncalled for and unacceptable. Customers should never be made to feel ashamed for what they order -- that is not the server's place. The food was an absolute mess. We discovered hair in our dishes, multiple items came out cold, and our spice requests were totally ignored. When we calmly asked for things to be fixed, the server got hostile, refused to correct the order, and instead chose to argue with us and involve a family member to intimidate us rather than simply resolve the issue. It turned a basic complaint into a full-blown confrontation. To make matters worse, the prices here are way too high for food this poor in quality. Save yourself the trouble -- there are plenty of better options out there. We will absolutely never be read more

We have only been there twice and so far so good.. Quite.. relaxing.. roomy.. clean.. family owned and operated. They where welcoming and friendly. Hardly took anytime to get our order and the food came out quicly. Wonderful on a lunch hour! Love the green curry!!.. had some black-rice pudding this last time.. was great.. David had the 22 on the lunch menu.. lol.. he cant' remember what it was called.. it was lite battered chicken with Jasmine rice and veggies. He said it was very good. This Thia restaurant is defiantly on my list of great places to eat. And not too bad on the tab either.. Will be on the lookout for some of their specials coming up. Not that they need it but if it's there why not use it.. ;) We are defiantly Fans!! read more

This is a great restaurant with extremely delicious Thai food. This restaurant is by far, the best Thai in the Tri-Cities! We had Tom Kha soup and it was very delicious. In fact, we have ordered it on two separate occasions. We also had Mussaman Curry and Green Curry on two separate visits. Both were extremely tasty! And the crispy spring rolls are quite delicious. The owner is a charming gentleman who took our order and told us a bit of the restaurant's history. One of the cook's is from Bai Tong Thai restaurant in Tukwilla near the Southcenter Mall. Bai Tong is our favorite Thai restaurant when in the Seattle area, so this really contributes to the delicious food preparation and quality at Thai Elephant. read more

I absolutely love Thai food! I love to try different places when we are on vacation; and taste the many versions of similar dishes. Yelp helped us find this place, noting their consistent ratings, we gave it a shot. Great food, good selection on wines and the staff was friendly. The only thing that would have made the experience flawless, would be if the server would have actually come back to report if the dishes were in fact gluten free as a member of our party has dietary issues. She said she would check,......then delivered the food. All in all...Great food, reasonable process and right off the main drag. We'll be back :) read more

This is, in my opinion, the best Thai food in town. I have been eating here since I was a kid, when it was The King and I, owned by Mrs. Wanarashu. She was always meticulous about her food, flying often to thailand to appropriate spices. When she had to retire, she was careful to sell the restaurant to someone with the same pride in Thai cuisine, and Song (the new proprietor) has excelled. He put Bangkok on the map, back in the nineties, and then returned from Portland to take over Thai Elephant. I send all my patients a gift card here when they refer friends and family. Try the Pad Kee Mao, Tom Ka soup, and Panang curry. read more

This place has real charm. The food is absolutely excellent. Perfect on a cold winter day, or in the middle of the summer heat! Just gotta know how to order ;) Coming from Seattle, this is a little oasis of good food for me. Yes, the peanut sauce is good--but be careful not to go crazy and eat too much of it. My partner ordered an extra side of it and poured it all over her rice and her stomach was rumble all night--but I felt great!!! We have a pretty decent selection of Thai food here in Tri-Cities however i do love this place. The atmosphere is great, the staff is very helpful and welcoming and the are just very very accommodating overall. The food is delicious, very big portions, very well presented and very reasonably priced. This is a pretty nice little gem here in TC, weather its for a date night, a group party or a quick bite to eat, this thai elephant is pretty deliciously authentically great! would definitely recommend. read more

My husband and I went there for a small date the food was good we had tofu and veggies with rice the place felt really comfortable and I think we went at the perfect time cause we were the only ones there at first so it was nice and intimate they have lots of options for vegan or vegetarian and the service was real good they were very attentive and helpful read more

I think this is probably some of the best Thai food in Tri Cities but it is also a tad more expensive than most. We never go wrong ordering here. Very tasty and fresh always. BEST Thai food in Tri Cities. If you like to stand in line outside of the chains restaurants around town you may not like this place. Delicious food and excellent service! They accommodated our party of 8 on separate tabs in no time, got all the orders correct, and served everything quickly. We really enjoyed the curries and noodle dishes, and their Thai iced teas are especially amazing. Will return next time in town! read more
