Had a very good dinner here & we thank our server, Kendall (& of course the cooking staff as well as the owner) for being so flexible with the requests my sisters made. And fur being so welcoming. We enjoyed all 3 of our dinners; filling, fresh & presented so well with a side plate of an elephant-shaped mold of rice with a green pea as its eye. Decor is nice, noise level is pretty high, and the restaurant is situated on a side street. So parking shouldn't be a problem.

Really good food! I respect all the workers working as it got really busy on Memorial Day weekend, super kind. We ordered the drunken noodle and the Panang curry and both were packed with flavor, the presentation was excellent. For dessert we ordered the mango ice cream with sticky rice, again the presentation was outstanding. I would definitely come back to eat here.

This place is a hidden gem! Very friendly staff that didn't rush you. I love that it's a byob. We had the sampler which I didn't love cause it's a lot of fried stuff but the entrees were delicious! They were spicy even if we ordered it mild so keep that in mind if you don't like spice.

Take out was great. My favorite was the fried sushi! Also loved the crab Rangoon, pad Thai, tofu curry and rice!

We wanted a break from the abundant American cuisine in the area and after hiking all morning through the gorge, we were ready for some Thai food. We came for lunch. I started off with the Larb salad which was fresh and flavorful, spice level is customizable. My partner tried it for the first time and really liked it. It's light and healthy and I could probably eat this salad every day. We also got the fried tofu appetizer which came with a sweet peanut sauce. My go-to is tofu pad see ew pretty much every Thai place I go and Thai Elephants didn't disappoint! My partner got the chicken pad see ew. We both left very satisfied, everything came out fresh, and service is efficient and friendly.

We took a trip to Watkins Glen after a scenic stop at a winery. The wine hit, the hunger hit harder, and we wandered into town very ready to eat. That's when we found this random Thai spot that looked completely unassuming, but honestly delivered. I got the duck noodles - savory, rich, and just a bit sweet. My girlfriend ordered the Three Duck dish, but it leaned way too sweet (and I agree). The meat portions were generous. The staff was lovely too - super kind and even helped open our wine bottle. They brought us an ice bucket and everything. Total small-town gem energy with surprisingly solid Thai food. I didn't get the Three Duck dish so I'll give this spot a 4/5.

Thai Elephants was in walking distance of my hotel and I'm so glad it was. It's a cozy restaurant with not much room in between tables. I got a delicious curry and shared spring rolls with my husband. The food is flavorful without being so spicy you can't taste anything. There is attention to detail in the food in the form of a carrot cut into the shape of a flower, a serving of rice in a volcano shape. It's reasonably priced and the service is prompt. We later found out there is an all-vegan sister restaurant a few streets away called Green Elephants. Next time!

Great service and good. The curry has a spice that lingers so don't get it if you don't like spice. Everything was delicious!

We came here for dinner after a day of wineries. The food was very good. We were seated immediately and ordered very shortly after. The wait staff was very friendly and helped with recommending spicy versus non-spicy dishes. Thai Elephants has been on my list of places to visit and we weren't disappointed. We will return!

Thai Elephants is located in Watkins Glen. We came here after we hiked Watkins Glen State Park and we were seated right away. I had the Thai iced tea and Pad See Aew with tofu. Pad See Aew is fresh flat noodles, richness of black sweet soy sauce flavor, egg, and Chinese broccoli. The Pad See Aew was very flavorful and very yummy. It was a good proportion of food too. Service was friendly and there are plenty of tables for groups. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!

Panang Chicken was so good. I would say it's the best one I had. The environment is young and modern. Nice set up.

Great food, attentive service, BYOB, and clean restaurant. We appreciated that vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu.

I researched a few places that have sushi on my way and this one was my choice. I stopped in the day before I was intending on buying anything so I could see where the place is and talk to the staff because I was going to purchase quite a bit. At least more than an average person would typically grab for lunch. So on my way home today, I called them and basically ordered nine sushi rolls. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they have a lunch special, any three rolls for $13.95. I would have bought them anyways at the regular price but this was kind of a nice bonus. They told me 30 minutes, I got there in 30 minutes, and it wasn't ready yet... Which wasn't really a big deal as they were working on it and I wasn't the only person there. The gentleman rolling the sushi in my humble opinion has some mad skills as he did all nine of my rolls while I sat there and watched and I don't think it took more than about 8 minutes to complete the whole order. I was also pleasantly surprised that they have eel sauce. I'm not sure about other people's experiences however for myself and my wife it's sometimes challenging to find a place that serves sushi and has eel sauce. They packaged it up pretty quick, put a little dab of wasabi on the corner of each little to-go container and I was on my way. I didn't go too far into the place however from what I can see from where I was it seems pretty clean. There's probably about a dozen tables available and a bar area. During both of my visits I had the opportunity to speak with three different employees and all of them were very nice and accommodating. The sushi itself was rather tasty. My wife and I have had sushi from various places and this place is now near the top of our list as far as taste and appearance goes. As I told them when I left earlier with my order, as long as my wife likes it I will most definitely be back, possibly a couple times a month anyways as even though it's 45 minutes from my house, it's on my way home and as far as a quick lunch, it's way better than fast food.

They add a mandatory 18% service charge (tip) to all dine-in orders…read more Their reasoning is that many customers don't leave enough tip. But that doesn't justify forcing it on your customers.
