Yamasho is such a wonderful sushi restaurant, they have both the hibachi side and the cozy dining booth side so you have the option between where you can eat. I love their sushi, so many options! Especially their vegetarian sushi section, they have so many nice flavors working together.

Its been a while since I was here... So I was excited to go to celebrate a friend's birthday. I've eaten there but never had hibachi. They are friendly and accommodating, allowing us to bring in a cake. ( With no "upcharge or "fee") The hibachi chef was doing his "thing" and it's always so fun to watch. The onion ring of fire always freaks me out a little, lol, but I love when people try to catch the food in their mouths. The hibachi soup was flavorful and the salad had that delicious, sweet ginger dressing on it. Some of us ordered sushi as well as a hibachi dinner. The sushi was very fresh and made a nice appetizer before our meal. I got the noodles specifically to bring home, but didn't realize it had a small "extra " charge. The shrimp I ordered was a nice size portion, I could have used more vegetables but overall it was very good. The shrimp were a little"overcooked " but that's the nature of hibachi cooking for 10 people while putting on a show. The restaurant was busy but the service was very good.

Always a great time here. I went for two birthdays and once just to dine in without the hibachi experience. Everything is always tasty. The service is always friendly and attentive. The servers were quick with refills on drinks, and taking away dishes so the table wasn't crowded. It is nice and clean inside with plenty of seating and then of course the hibachi side. The chef put on a great show and included the kiddos.

This was our first time here for hibachi for a birthday. The place we usually go to we heard went down hill, so decided to try this place out. It was a nice setup as you walk in, there were regular tables and then the hibachi on the other side. We were seated and waited on quickly, the chef was wonderful and entertaining. My little one loved it. The food and drinks were delicious. I loved the ginger sauce that came with the hibachi dinner. I didn't care for the other white sauce. I'm not usually a martini person but I love lychee that was strong drink lol and the lychee flavor definitely stood out. There was plenty of food, I took leftovers home.

So delicious. One of my favorite places to order takeout from. The sushi is always fresh and full of flavor. Quick service and always packed well.

We went on a Friday night so it was a little busy . If you'd like them to cook at Hibachi table side you request at Check in station. The restaurant has very nice size booths and table a on one room and all Hibachi tables in other . We 4 were led to a large table that sat 12. A family sat in other seats across from us with cook hibachi in center. Our chef came to the table and oh what fun!! He put sesame oil on grill and the flames went higher! Beautiful . He entertained us for sure. He explained every step. Some ordered shrimp . Some tofu. Some steak. He cut up fresh veggies and stir fried. The noodles were also stir fried as was the rice . The presentation was fantastic! Some had sushi rolls that were so delish and eye appealing . There were so many choices! And then the deserts!! Most oriental places do not have the choices ! I had a cheese cake that had hard baked sides and every one else had cake bombs that had layers of choc and cake!! The prices were more than reasonable! Everything was delicious! We can't wait to go back!!!

I love this spot. I've ordered takout before but I dined in today and everything was 10 out of 10! I was impressed. Even the ambiance is top notch for the restraurant being in a strip mall. I ordered the spicy kani salad and the American dream roll which is kani, mango, avocado and salmon. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The service was SUPERB. The girls are so sweet and friendly. Definitely come here and eat some sushi!

My family usually goes to the same sushi restaurants when we go out but wanted to try something new this time. We saw that Yamasho got really good reviews so had dinner there. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is split in half, one side has the bar and dining room tables. The other side is hibachi. The bar area was also split in half. One side for drinks and the other side was for the sushi chefs. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a few apps to share. The broiled squid was definitely very strong in flavor. My mom liked it but I thought it was too fishy for me. The kids loved the shrimp tempura although I wish there was more than 2 shrimp. Chicken wings were crispy. We got edamame on the house which were very fresh compared to other places. For the sushi, we ordered a bunch or rolls. Although they were all different rolls, they taste pretty similar. My fav was the kiss of fire while my son loved the spider roll. My mom had the hibachi which she said was good, filet was tender. My son liked his bento box. For dessert, we tried the xango cheese cake. The outside was a crispy with a cinnamon sugar coating which was delicious but I wasn't a big fan of the cheesecake filling which was surprising because I love cheesecake. It came with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream. The tempura ice cream was good but I wish the outside was crispy. The tempura was very light though. Prices were reasonable and service was good. Overall a good experience.

We brought our kids here for the first time. We had a nice lunch after visiting the zoo 5 min away. Their sushi was very fresh and tasty. We ordered yellowtail and scallion, salmon and avocado, and a Rainbow Roll. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned and enough for another meal. We also shared a chocolate lava cake and mango mochi ice cream desserts. We had a nice visit with good food. Service was fairly quick.

I had the Seafood Alexander (amazing). Their steaks were tender and delicious. The service was top notch. The Owner, Charlie, came around to the tables to check on us. We made reservations at the last minute, so we ended up in the "overflow" room, which was in a seperate room from the main restaurant. I would suggest if you go with younger kids (which we did) you book this area. The Ambience in both areas was great. We walked through the main restaurant which was dimly lit and had music. Perfect for a well deserved, relaxed evening. The Overflow room was more lit and quiet, for a relaxed evening with conversation. We're looking forward to another night out there!

I am compelled to leave an honest and disappointing review…read more As with many in the area at graduation, we were looking for a place to have a great meal and we were excited to learn about a steakhouse that was super attentive and provided quality and well cooked meals. We were extra excited by what seemed to be their signature dish, steak and mashed potatoes. Well, we had an 8pm reservation, which to me is normal time, but seems to be like a last seating for this restaurant. The place was full upon entering but emptied out quickly during our meal experience. It was just our immediate family of 4. Started with cocktails and proceeded to order the seafood trio app, which was good. Wedge salad, which was also good. Had a nice waitress who had a good sense of humor. The rest went downhill. We all ordered different types of steaks and 3 of 4 medium rare, one NY Strip medium. Ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and some other accompanying sauces. All 3 steaks came out in variations of well done - gross! On an even more disappointing note, we were told there is no more mashed potatoes, which is why we chose this place, and then told only 2 baked potatoes, so we had to decide who gets it and who doesn't. A TERRIBLE thing to happen at a steak restaurant, in addition to ruining what seemed to be quality steaks. The Brussel sprouts came out overly well done drenched in their sauce. Bite into any of them and they were totally deflated and not good. We couldn't even eat it. The waitress came back and asked how things were... my wife's fillet was so over cooked the waitress even agreed and offered to remake. By this time it was almost 9:15 and she lost her appetite. The three of us just didn't mention how ours were because it would have just caused chaos that none of us wanted. We NEVER send back food, but in this case, hers was insanely overcooked. We asked to have it removed from the bill, which they did. Regardless, we dropped $430, including a $70 tip (because I am generous... waitress should have done a lot more for us when noticing the quality of what was served to us) for the 4 of us, with only 3 main meals. Just a real poor experience. I'm hoping this was just an isolated happening, but completely upset it happened to us for my daughter's graduation, son's 25th Bday and our 27th Anniversary. All that weekend. Advice to owner: please ensure you have enough product for your reservations. We were not walk-ins. Then, listen to the customer's request for how they prefer their steaks to be cooked and serve as ordered. 8pm reservation should not make a difference from a 6pm. I'm just really disappointed and wish we went to Ts instead, but liked the idea of smaller and more intimate.

Another outstanding meal at my favorite syracuse restaurant…read more Enjoyed some time this Friday with special people as we sat and enjoyed an exquisite dining out. I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

I had a nice evening at Eden. Parking wasn't bad. Reservations are a must as it is rather small…read moreinside. We were promptly seated and ordered glasses of wine while perusing the menu, which is on the smaller side. That usually means everything on it is rather good, so we had high expectations. We started with the Mushroom Toast, Ember Roasted Carrots, and Beef Tartar. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good. The Ember Roasted Carrots were a complete miss. They were trying to go for a middle-eastern flavor, with each ingredient contrasting, while the carrot served as the centerpiece to flavor. I found this to be INCREDIBLY bland. The carrots were not salted enough during roasting and lacked enough char. They dish also needed more labneh than it was served with. It literally just tasted like carrots and yoghurt. Honestly, if I could only give one critique it would be to have used more salt, but this dish was a real disappointment. The Beef Tartar suffered from a similar issue. It was bland. Not enough salt was used. It unfortunately tastes like flat beef. I overheard the bartender talking to another couple and he told them they really want to highlight the ingredients. The idea is purity or something like that. And that's well and good, but you still need to season beef tartar. I don't think this is necessarily a poor execution of the dish(es) rather this is more in line with the philosophy of the kitchen, and that's fine. It's just not for me. And now for the good. The Mushroom Toast was great. It had all the things I had wanted. Fat, salt, umami, freshness. This was a good dish and I would get this again. As for the entrees, my husband and I ordered the Cappelletti and the NY Strip. The Cappelleti was the strongest dish of the night. The flavors were layered and intentional. This was a great dish and I1000% would get it again. My husband ordered the NY Strip along with bone marrow. It was cooked to perfection. Cooking it over a wood fire gave it a great char and almost Smokey flavor. It was very flavorful. The chimichurri made the steak feel lighter than it actually was. My husband loved it and I loved having a bite or two of everything together. This was a complete dish and I'd highly recommend it. The only knock I could give it is the bone marrow. There was a lack of volume in it which is probably due to being cooked over a wood fire. Parts of the bones were also over roasted. I'd skip this the next time and get the foie gras pate. Lastly, for desert we were disappointed that we could not try the rice pudding as they were out of it (we will try it the next time if available). We did however order the Flourless Chocolate Torte to share. It was made perfectly. It was rich and decadent but remained light. It was almost like a mousse, but not quite. We loved it. Overall, the had a great time. There were several highlights and I think they make up for the a couple of the earlier dishes. I'd like to see what else they have to offer when they change their menu.

I read up on the menu and discovered they offered lamb chops which is one of my absolute favourites. A taste of home for me! Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. Oh well, you live and learn...
