This restaurant has turned it around, I ordered the drunken noodles again after 7 years and low and behold it was spicy and flavorful this time, with no orange on top. It was a generous serving size and had full of meat and veggies. The chili basil was balanced perfectly with sweet, salt, and a mild spice with the basil adding a delightful flavor to the dish. Do be aware they are a bit on the pricier side. My only complaint is the rice was an extra charge and was not included with the thai basil dish, I will note as well the lunch specials were quite a bit cheaper and up to par. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants! If only it were closer to me. I usually go for lunch and get an appetizer and a lunch special. The lunch specials are only 11-12 dollars. You get a little cup of delicious hot soup, rice and an entree. We had green papaya salad, peanut noodles with shrimp and Panang curry with tofu. The peanut noodles were creamy and mild while the pangang curry was perfectly spiced and full of fresh vegetables. The fish cakes and fresh summer rolls are also good as well as the pad Thai. We decided to come here since we've never eaten here before, and it will now be one of our regular spots. First off, the service was incredible. The servers were so beyond welcoming, and nice, and made sure we felt comfortable and almost as if we were at home! Second off, I cannot express how incredible the food was. It was so heartwarming, flavorful, and just wow. Truly something you don't get everywhere. I got the seafood curry in the red coconut curry sauce with a side of white rice, and it was absolutely amazing. So good, I was so full but couldn't stop eating it!! Every bite just got better and better. I got my daughter the chicken noodle soup, and the broth was so delicious, it made you feel warm and cozy, and as if you were eating at someone's grandmas house. This has become our go-to Thai lunch spot. My previous review must have reflected a bad night for the restaurant a couple of years ago! Since then, we have gone back and it has now become a favorite! In addition to it being open for lunch on Mondays (unlike many places around here) the lunch specials are delicious, generous, affordable and always served quickly and with kindness. Some favorite are the Prik King shrimp and the Duck Massaman curry. So very good! A very extensive lunch menu with lots of big flavor! Lunch comes with a soup and a smile. "It's a sign, our parking spot is right next to Thai Garden!" I was excited because I recognized the door from when this was a pit stop on the road trip up north a few years prior. I had remembered the food was good and was truly looking forward to lunch here. My colleague also raved about how she used to go here often before the pandemic. However, my expectations may have been too high. Food was good, but the service and environment did enough for me to make the experience feel just alright. The decor is as intricate as I remember; this was definitely the place we stopped at a few years ago. The host / waitress began to ask questions about if we'd leave before lunch hour ends and if we'd be ok that they're done at 3. Luckily we were just looking for a quick lunch before hitting the road again. The rushed-ness was unfortunately a common theme and it made us feel like we truly needed to go as fast as possible. Like I gave a preview to, the food was still pretty good. Always have to get Thai ice tea. The lunch menu had plenty of options but I stuck with the usual pad Thai with crispy chicken. The lunch portion was even enough for me to have leftovers the next day. However I couldn't stop thinking about the rushed nature. Even though we didn't plan to stay long it felt like we were getting pushed to leave. Additionally when trying to walk to the restroom, the floors were very sticky too. While the food was good, some attention is needed to the service and environment. So this is probably the 3rd or 4th time that we have stopped here. The menu is typical of most Thai restaurants and I am not sure that we have ever had a terrible meal at any of the Thai restaurants to which we have been. This one ranks above the rest. They start with a small cup of noodled broth with bits of chicken. Beautifully clear, tasty starter. Not long after the soup the food arrived prepared perfectly. I asked for my Basil and Chili Beef to be "kicked up" above the two peppers shown on the menu and they didn't disappoint. Companion had the Prik King Chicken which also showed two peppers. For most, this would have been sufficiently spicy. Each dish was served piping hot with vegetables done to a tee. What really separates Thai Garden is the great staff of people that served us. Very prompt service from the waitperson to the busser. Can't wait to stop again and try another of their offerings. read more

It takes exceptional food for me to give a 5- yelper rating- and Thai Garden most certainly qualifies. I'm in Northampton visiting family and thought Thai food would be fun dining. We weren't disappointed. We ordered spring rolls which were above average- but the really delicious part were the main dishes. Basil fried rice sounds ordinary, but it was exceptional and unlike a typical Chinese/Asian fried rice. If you go, please try. We had crispy chicken on Pad Thai, good but not as good as the other dishes. The crispy Pad Thai was a star. And a dish of Thai noodles in a coconut cream sauce was delicious. I wish I had taken photos, but wanted to dive in to the meal as soon as things arrived. Next time I'm back in Northampton I'll be sure to return. Unfortunately no outdoor dining space here, but you can order to go, or dine in if you're willing to risk it. There are several menus, which is a bit confusing: a full page vegetarian menu, and a full page gluten free menu on the front window, then a full menu with those dishes scattered through the other categories by the door, and other menus inside. We recommend the vegetarian pad Thai, though it doesn't have a typical sweet sour sauce (it does come with a spicy sauce!). A bit greasy, but not overly so. My dining companion recommends the grilled salmon, though the pineapple tomato combination was a bit odd. If you're ordering to go, be sure to ask for cutlery and napkins (they don't automatically add them). There are two single stall restrooms but for no good reason they're gendered :( read more
