The place was cute, you go up to the counter to order once you're done looking through the menu on the table and after you're done with dishes there's a place to put them all as well. The place was pretty empty when we first came in and when we tried ordering you should just ring the bell right away cause even if they see u through the kitchen they will not come out. We ordered from the lunch menu and I really tried to justify the proportions with it being the lunch price but none of us got full. There was mostly just vegetables in the all the dishes specifically peppers and none of the spicy dishes had any spice flavor to them. We ordered the thai coffee but it only came after we finished our dishes after constant ask of where the drink was. The place did start to get busy but the waitress never really came to our table until we tried calling her over about our coffee. We ended up asking to put it in a togo cup since we already paid for it but the size difference between the togo and sit in cup was pretty noticeable. read more

this is some of the best food I have had. the flavors are incredible and everything is so fresh. the way they do service is interesting... i.e. you look at the menu for yourself and then go up to order and you pay up front not after the meal. For me, it's a sad little place. I've eaten Thai quite a bit. This was below the standard I'm used t.o. The soup was 'meh', not much flavor or character, had two lonely shrimp in a bland broth - and that was the 'hot' soup (spicy). Massaman curry was missing some components I've had in almost all dorms of that dish. I'd say if other places are closed and you want thai, maybe an okay surrender stop. The beer and homemade dumpling is delicious. The Tom kha was not plentiful (on the meager side with portion). The base was yummy but the chicken was rubbery and there were three pieces. I'd skip the soup. Very casual serve yourself with utensils and water, which is fine. Price is ok. I spent close to $20 for a beer, soup, and dumplings. Not bad. It's a well worn throwback inside, reminiscent of may other small and local Asian type eateries. You go to the counter, order, and they bring it to the table. Nothing fancy, stripped down. For lunch I got their spicy duck with coconut rice. The coconut rice was a surcharge over the regular side of Jasmine rice. I found it to be underflavored and not worth the upcharge, but it was still good. The duck dish truly nailed it on the spice level and mix of flavors. Well done! Make that better than well done. The duck itself was tender and tasty, though there was not a ton of meat in the dish. I should note as well that it was lunch priced and very affordable, so that is likely part of it. I love a good Pad Thai, and I couldn't resist getting one to go for dinner. That night, I took my time reheating it in a slow steam, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The noodles weren't mushy and there was a lot of flavor in the sauce that they use, a perfect balance of a bit sweet and a bit umami. It's some of the best Pad Thai's around, in my opinion. Ordered at the counter and left a tip not realizing this place is completely self-service- Okay user error. Decor and seating really needs some refresh. Seat cushions were extremely worn down. Food was not horrible but it was not good thai food and borderline health hazard. Papaya salad was made with cabbage not green papaya. No indication that there was a substitution. Could be a huge issue for someone with allergies or intolerances. Also lacked spice/flavor. Tom kha soup was also missing flavor. Pad thai and pad see ew were fine nothing special. Best Thai in the area. I've tried multiple Thai restaurants in the region and Thai Thai has something special going on. Super friendly and prompt service. Excellent food. Best pad Thai in the area. Most restaurants around here use little to no tamarind and can be a bit heavy on fish sauce. Not here--great balance across the flavors. Best crab rangoons I've literally ever eaten at any restaurant, period. Pad kee mao is also excellent. Assorted apps are also delicious. Went here agian recently the food somehow got worse. It does not live up to your average thai restaurant standards. The noodles dishes now are extremly oily and underseasoned. They cut their serving sizes and do not include the amout of meat and veggies as they used to. When I was inside I heard a microwave was being used, concerning. Tom yum soup is way way off, bland as if they forgot the shrimp stock. I needed to order TWO dishes, to be somewhat full, no thx. Still not a 1 star, I guess the food is managable for most. Thai Thai is easily my favorite restaurant in Northampton. The food is reliably tasty -- I order the Kee Mao Lo-Mein, and am thrilled every. single. time. I'm so in love with that dish that I've only strayed once -- during the (current) pandemic, when I tried the eggplant dish. It was ever-so-slightly spicy and wonderfully gooey like all good eggplant dishes should be. The appetizer spring rolls are always a must, too. My partner regularly orders meat-based dishes and is always pleased. During the current pandemic, they've added delivery to their offerings. Met a friend for lunch and wanted to eat outdoors as they have seating in alleyway ( unlike Thai Garden which only has indoor seating). But go elsewhere for the food. We had the papaya salad and it was a few shreds of papaya and then propped up on lettuce. There were exactly 3 peanuts on top and when I mentioned to waitress she pointed them out to me. The food was fresh and we enjoyed the lunch menu, which was an excellent selection with good prices. The vegetarian sampler was pretty good, although everything was fried. Some sort of non fried option for dumplings would be nice. Spring rolls were delicious, and I had the Chili Duck. The duck was tender, and delicious (not gamey tasting). This place is a hidden gem. This is some of the best Thai food I've had in the area. The food is fresh and very flavorful. The service is friendly, really helpful navigating the menu, and efficient. They have outdoor seating, which was a must for us. I had the crispy chicken pad Thai and my wife had a sort of Thai variation of sweet and sour chicken. Our 4 year old had a delicious chicken soup. They use authentic spices and if you like some heat, they really deliver. I look forward to coming back here a lot. read more

Received yellow curry with, mushy shrimp and less than a1/4 cup of sauce. If you have ever walked by this place and thought to not try it because Thai Garden would be better, you would be surprised! Thai garden has delicious food, but Thai Thai was delightful! We had Thai iced tea which was a beautiful pumpkin orange color with the perfect amount of sweetnees and tea flavor. The Thai wings in peanut sauce were slathered with a nutty sauce then covered in crunchy peanut bits. The chicken was moist and juicy. The curry puffs are honestly one of the best things I have ever eaten. Fresh and light not oily. The filling was a perfect soft texture with the perfect curry flavor. I was sad I only got one order of them. Both chicken entrees we got were also perfect in flavor and heat. If you ask for it spicy, booooyy you better be ready for some good heat! I ordered Thai Thai for home delivery yesterday and will never order from there again. The pad thai I order was almost inedible. 3 pieces of shrimp and one little tough piece of chicken on a pile of noodles that seemed old. The noodles were stuck together (inedible) in spots like they were under-cooked or had sat in a refrigerator way too long. The steamed dumplings barely had any filling in them and their Thai shumai was tasteless. Neither of them came with enough dipping sauce for the entire appetizer. I threw most of the dinner in the trash. With Delivery Express charges, it was like throwing $45 in the trash as well. Will NEVER order there again. Gross. read more

One word to describe it "Amazing", Coconut Shrimp "Amazing", Thai Beef Noodle Soup "Good", steamed vegetarian dumplings "So good!" and I had the Mango Juice can I say "Wow!!" The food wasn't bad; it just wasn't good. I got 3 ordinary things: Tom Kha, Pad Thai, and Thai iced tea. Not even the tea tasted fresh. The shrimp had no flavor. The soup was okay. The bad part was that I asked for everything to be gluten-free and for the server to let the kitchen know that I had an allergy. The server said that everything I ordered was GF so she didn't need to tell the kitchen. If anyone ever says that to me again I'll walk out.
