Sucks! Why would anyone go here when Phikuns Thai is just a few blocks away? TGB is way over priced and it doesn't taste anywhere near as good as Phikuns. Everything I order from here lacks flavor, and I've tried many things because before I discovered Phikuns it was the only place to go for Thai. We went as a group of 6 tonight prior to a show. The food was very good as usual, but the service really lacked. We waited about 15 minutes before flagging someone down twice to take our order. Then, our food took about 20 minutes to come out. If we didn't mention our concern about the time, (We figured 90 minutes would be enough time), who knows when our food would have arrived. Been here many, many times. service is generally quick. food is good and cheap with decent portions. Lots options to choose from. Noodles are generally NOT overcooked as other reviewers write, RICE noodles are stickier. This is American mock Thai cuisine really only vaguely like food in Thailand. First things first, the food here is very good. I came here a lot when I thought it was the only Thai place in town, and they never disappointed me with their consistent and delicious food. Then I found out there was another Thai place, and I am never coming back here. The service here was consistently slow and unfriendly. Super slow. Not that service is everything, I am more than happy to put up with bad service in certain situations. But this place sells itself and charges as nice sit-down restaurant. When you bill yourself that way, you really need to deliver. I put up with it when I thought it was my only source of Thai food here, but now that I found Suchada's, I don't have to put up with their high prices and awful service anymore. I feel bad giving a place with such good food two stars, but going here always put me in a bad mood. My experiences at Thai Ginger have been pretty good, the service is timely and the food is great!! The only problem i have with Thai Ginger is the atmosphere. I am not sure what it is, it may be how close the tables are but it always seems like you have talk quietly, or not at all, i think perhaps the music being turned up a little lounder or lights turned down more may help this. read more

Thai Ginger - five stars! One of my favorite restaurants in the area is Thai Ginger. The reason for this is because there are so many restaurants who don't actually serve genuine Thai. Thai Ginger achieves this challenge because they conform to the customers requests. Many restaurants in the Palouse region do not make my food spicy enough so I decided to go to Thai Ginger and I asked them to give me a real Five Star level of heat to my food. They added spice to my food and was able to make it taste wonderful. Their squid is absolutely delicious - it truly is something when you add the flavor of squid to tom yum soup. The spring rolls we had we're all so great. Another time I went here I had ordered pad Thai. My dad who loves cooking lived in Sri Lanka (south of India) for a time in his life so he knows how Pad Thai Taste in the actual culture. My dad said that the pad thai taste just like it does in the home country which is amazing for a Thai restaurant in America to do. The flavors were exquisite - lime, chilies, egg, noodles, and Seasonings I can't put my finger on. The first time I ever went to here I ordered rice and curry with lamb meat. This was another dish that tasted just like it did in the Homeland. Their appetizers are scrumptious and don't disappoint. I don't know how they cook the food here, but it's amazing. The atmosphere is nice, usually quiet, and has a wonderful temperature. The employees are respectful and constantly ask if you are enjoying your meal or if there's anything you need. Wonderful customer service - they're one of the best in the area. You can order to go if you want to here - sometimes I am in a rush and I find it necessary however when I get home, it's just as delicious as it is here so it's not just atmosphere. You don't have to wait very long at all to get a table. The restaurant is very sanitary, the presentation is gorgeous, and the service is superb. I have to say I have never dined in but have had food to go and it was very good every time. Best part is the bar behind the restaurant. They have a couple beer pong tables and serve their thai food till 2 am! Price was very reasonable as well. read more

Don't use the bathroom before you eat. It ruins your appetite. Bathroom sinks are filthy. The food is good and in large portion.

Although I have no idea how the food is here (since I walked out)...I know their service sucks. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon, saw a sign that said please wait to be seated. So we waited. Two other groups walked in behind us. We waited while both people working completely ignored everyone standing at the door. The guy running the register never even bothered to look over at the ten people waiting to be seated. He just stood there and drank water with his back turned to the rest of the restaurant. The woman serving the mostly empty place was rude and looked angry. She walked by tables that were trying to get her attention, and walked by everyone waiting without acknowledging our existence. Great selection with huge portions. Thai food has always been a favorite of mine and i really enjoyed my meal here. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. I went with some guys who are actually from thailand and they were underwhelmed. I however was thorougly pleased. I have been here a few times, however it's not great. Granted I lived in Seattle, for many years before I came here and most of their things are sub par. I ordered a dish today called spicy chicken. Unfortunately it was engorged with this chocolate sauce that was disgusting. I told them that it wasn't great after having a few bites. Their portions are huge- I love it, so then I can have leftovers for tomorrow. Just like their portions, they're a little bit pricey. But sometimes I just need smaller portion for lunch, so why can't they have lunch special??? I'll go more often if lunch specials are available. read more

Excellent food!! My fiancé and I have lived in the area for just over a month now and have already gotten take out or take our friends here over half a dozen times. Their takeout wait time is pretty short. The waitresses we've had while dining in have always been fun to chat with and very helpful. The inside of the building is a little drab/old looking but it doesn't really take away from the dining experience. Definitely recommend eating here or getting the food to go! read more

I decided to try Thai Ginger for the first time and will not be going back. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai to go and there was a long, black hair in my food. I threw away the hair because it was disgusting. The owner said that I could not have my money back because I could not prove it. He was unwilling to just take my word for it despite bringing the entire box of food back to the restaurant. He was very rude and condescending. This is by far the WORST food I have ever had. Do not waste your money or your time. You will most likely have a bad experience. I was in Pullman visiting last week and ordered Phad Thai and Phad See Ew as a takeout from them. When I went to pick it up, I was unimpressed by the shabby, dirty run-down atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant. When I got the food back to my hotel my friend and I began eating and were very disappointed by the extremly poor quality of the food. The noodles were dry, the sauce tasted predominately like fish sauce and had a very odd flavor, the chicken was extremely overcooked and dry and the broccoli was mushy. It tasted like week old leftovers that had been microwaved. Absolutely inedible. After 5 or 6 bites we threw it in the trash. Disgusting. It made our hotel room smell so bad that we had to take the garbage to the lobby. We eat Thai food several times a month and know good Thai food. Thai Ginger is TERRIBLE, worse than terrible. I have never felt so strongly about the food being such poor quality that I have ever asked for my money back. But on my way out of town I stopped at the restaurant to let them know my bad experience and asked for a refund. I showed (I believe the owner) my receipt from a day and a half prior and he told me that I would have had to bring the food back the night I ordered it. (Are you kidding me? Who wants to order take out then have to go back!) A woman (presumably his wife) called him into the back where she spoke to him. He came back out and said he definitely would not give me the money back. Poor business sense. He had the opportunity to make it right with me and didn't have the intelligence to recognize that. So do not go here. Poor managment, disgusting food, shabby atmosphere and obvious lack of care or concern for making customers happy with great food and service. Thai Ginger is a good place for Thai Food, and hands down the best place in Pullman. The service is fast and always consistent. The panang curry is AWESOME, by far my favorite dish! The pad thai is decent, definitely had better but does the job while I'm at school. Overall I've had better thai food, however in a town with limited restaurants and even less good ones, Thai Ginger gets the job done. read more

I agree with previous comments that the atmosphere is blah but its not like it should really be spectacular with their low prices. Service is good, food comes out fast I'm pretty sure you can order delicious Thai food until 2:00 am unless they changed it. I love the soups tom kha or tom yum, fresh salad rolls with peanut sauce I usually get curry I've had all of them here except the yellow all are really delicious, better than most places I have been to (I've been to tons, in bigger cities and in Europe) for better prices. My favorite I guess is the panang. The crab fried rice is also a favorite. this place has absolutely wonderful food and good prices. read more

The service was bad enough to warrant never coming to this restaurant again. I came with my family for my graduation dinner, and the service will be the most memorable part of today. They said they were out of almost everything we requested, and refused to substitute even a little bit of extra rice for the missing soup. I will never come back to this restaurant, they have failed at operating as a restaurant in every capacity. They do not care about their customers, and they make that clear. Ok so I did not go into the restaurant but i freaking love the bar. Its got pool tables 19 beers on tap and friendly bartenders. The owner came by and talked to me for abit to. They usually have bands on the weekend but, i usually can't make it then. Also they serve thai food at the bar too. great bar to hang out at. Only bad thing maybe is that they close early if its not very busy. I went at 11 before to go hang out and they had already closed shop. other than that good food and fun place to hang out read more

Just ate here a few minutes ago. There was a black beetle in my meal (unfortunately found halfway through my meal), staff did not offer a refund nor apologize. They did offer to remake the food, but I'd rather not eat after eating/nearly eating an insect in the dish I was previously given. HORRIBLE FOOD! We were given what seemed like leftovers that were days if not a week old. My husband and I could not eat more than a few bites it was so bad. The curry was sour - like milk that had gone bad. The noodles in our pad see yew were literally soggy and mushed together. By far the worst food I've ever tasted from a restaurant.
