Iv been to diferente Chinese spas and Thai spas spending well over a thousand dollars just trying to fix my problems. These places charge like $40-60 an hour. Those places suck and I feel cheated after coming her. My therapist was so professional and very knowledgeable. The massage was eye opening and very good. Feet walking and stretching is the way to go and there's a science behind it. The therapist even took her time on what I needed to work on and take care of my self. After quite a struggle the receptionist managed to charge my credit card for my one hour massage. I paid the extra $7.00 for the deep tissue therapy. my only hope was that the frail senior who was checking me in was not to be my masseuse. unfortunately this did turn out to be the case. I must say she did her absolute best to give me a deep tissue massage and was very professional. Early on she asked me if there was a particular area of trouble that she should focus on and I told her that my upper and middle back was very tight. So quite naturally she spent most of her time effort and energy on my shoulders scalp and face. The 3 stars are awarded for effort. The only other point that I would like to make is please spend a few extra dollars to prepare yourself with some Altoids just in case your masseuse is in need of them as mine was. My Mother in Law bought me a gift card for this small Thai massage spa in Oceanside. It ended up being one the best massages that I have ever received. Anne is tiny, but packs a punch. Being a marathon runner and Ironman Triathlete, I have had lots of massages, most of them very average. Anne's Thai massage is a full body mix of stretching and deep tissue work(or lighter pressure if you want), and of course she uses her feet, knees and elbows to get into every crevice! The best massage I think I've ever had. I was in so much pain and she did wonders. I could cry. She crawled up on the table and used her knees, elbows, arms, and hands and was able to stretch out my neck which had been hurting for a week. Wow, best most beautiful massage ever!!! I have really intense chronic pain- it's so hard to find someone to actually work with me to improve my symptoms. Here at Thai Spa, Akita has a true intuitive gift for healing. She REALLY listened to my needs and my body. Before my massage today, I was crying in pain with a pinched nerve in my neck- and now after a massage here I am floating on a cloud. She is SO sweet and kind, I felt very safe and comfortable in her hands. She checked in with me throughout the massage to make sure I was feeling good, and her technique was SO thorough and healing. Nothing feels left unhealed- she addressed all the little nooks and crannies of where my body could be storing pain with strength- whether with her hands or feet!!! This place is a hidden little gem that I'm sure will become popular as word gets out. When you go inside you'll find a professional but also comforting environment. The rooms are very nice and the massage tables are heated. The massage therapist themselves are super friendly and make you feel relaxed while they give a professional massage. I was a bit intimidated about doing a Thai massage because I've heard they can be a bit intense. But the therapist here are gentle. I'm not the most flexible guy but they managed to stretch me without me experiencing any pain or discomfort. Afterward I felt really good and loose.
