What a terrific hidden gem, well worth your drive to come and dine here. The restaurant is super clean, had the cleanest restrooms of any restaurant that I have been in! I think if they care enough about cleanliness of restrooms then other areas are clean and they attend to details in the kitchen! We ordered fresh summer spring rolls (yummy, and made to order). And pad see woon (mixed veggies, glass noodles, chicken). A large portion and so delicious and fresh! Just the right choice for a warm summer meal. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4 Stars Blinking back at my random name generator, I couldn't help but think upon the infamous words of Booker T., "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all..." It's not that bad, I do jest; however, as the name Thai Kitchen was staring back at me, I did loathe the moment. I have developed a visceral hatred for Sushi/Thai combo places, so when I pulled up and found a Thai restaurant that serves actual Thai food I was pleasantly surprised. Be forewarned as I am feeling a tad macaronic as I write this, but then it is an excellent Thai to be alive! Lisa (her nom de guerre) is our slothfully slow server today. However, she is a charming Chiang Rai of light AND boxed our food up without being asked. That rates a 30% tip in my book. As previously stated, I detest Sushi/Thai combo joints and apparently, so do the owners here, as they have a sign that states they serve "Authentic" Thai food. I have never been to Thailand, but a family member lives in Bangkok. He said two things you never see in a restaurant: sushi or chopsticks (for a frame of reference). I asked Lisa for some Pad Woon Sen, Creamy Tom Yum Noodles and an order of Crispy Pork Belly. Awaiting Lisa's return, I engaged my company in light banter about what I know of Thailand. I quickly realized it wasn't all that much and the conversation died not with a Panang, but with a whimper just as our food arrived! Snapping some quick pictures of the feast before me, I dove in as the aromas wafting forth were hinting that the best Thai food I've ever had had just fallen into my lap. The Pad Woon Sen consisted of the traditional Thai clear or glass noodles mixed with fresh veggies and it was spot on. I don't think I have had any other national cuisine that so expertly combines flavors as the food from Thailand. Some dishes can be extremely spicy yet never lose the underlying flavors. In other words, the heat is never all you taste. Case in point, the Creamy Tom Yum Noodles were a superb combination of rice noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, fried garlic, ground peanuts, Thai chili powder and lime juice. The heat of the chili powder is offset magnificently by what should be Thai Basil, but in this case, it is cilantro. This "spicy-mint" flavor is the key to authentic Thai cuisine and this dish had it down pad! Sadly, I had a job to do and, as such, forced myself onto the last dish up for review, the Crispy Pork Belly. Once again, everything was deliciously prepared, dancing a delightful Khon across my taste buds. Even though I have never been to Thailand, I know this has to be the real deal Thai food as I have never seen these dishes in a combo place. Not once. Ever. The Big Boy says, "After this meal, it's safe to say I'm coconuts for Thai food. You should go, and if you don't? You can kiss my glass noodles!" read more

I love, love, LOVE Thai Kitchen. I first started coming here years ago when it was owned and operated by a mother-daughter duo. Since then, there has been a change of ownership--but the food is still delicious and the people friendly! As a vegan, there are so many options for me here and what's even better is the chef and servers understand the term "vegan," which most restaurants do not. They are happy to let me know which items contain fish sauce, egg, dairy, etc., and can accommodate many of them for a vegan diet. My go-to veganized favorites: pad see ew noodles, house fried rice, pad woon sen noodles, papaya salad, fried veggie spring rolls, drunken/spicy basil noodles, and my partner likes the panang curry. These tend to be our regulars so I still have yet to try the pad Thai! We normally ask for our dishes to be medium spicy, which can sometimes be spicier or milder depending on the kind of item. We do take-out more than dine-in. My only negative remark is that the packaging isn't very environmentally friendly, but in Central Florida that is typical. Definitely stop in here to try this little gem, especially if you are vegan and love Thai food! read more

We've tried several Thai places over the past 10 years and nothing could compare to the authentic Thai dishes we were used to while living in St. Louis approximately 17 years ago. I judge every Thai restaurant by their Pad Thai for authenticity, whether it's made with tomato paste vs. good old fish sauce. Thai Kitchen did not disappoint. Best Pad Thai so far in Florida for us, our beef dish ( forgot what we ordered) was fantastic but could've been served with a bit more rice. The service was excellent, the place was clean, including restroom and kitchen ( I peeked it). The wait wasn't too bad but the food was worth the wait. Will definitely go back as this is now our Thai place of choice. Worth the drive from St. Cloud to Melbourne. read more

I mean.... It was take-out Thai. The "juice" (broth/sauce/liquid) in some of the dishes was a little thin but we'd probably order again. My husband loved the egg rolls... said something about them being better than the ones we used to get in Colorado. Pad Thai was good... I was looking for a preconcert good eats spot in Melbourne on our way up from Vero Beach. We had our choice of seating in this smallish restaurant around 5:15 on a Saturday. Almost immediately after we sat, the tables started to fill up. There were definitely regulars and new patrons like us. The server was very pleasant. He and the kitchen completely understood the spice level we prefer, which is so important. Our meal was shared by the two of us, except we each had our own Singh Thai beer. We had papaya salad (I want it again right now,) a fried soft shell crab already split for us) with chili sauce to dip into, perfectly cooked and seasoned pad woon sen with seafood combo as protein choice ( stir fried glass noodles with shrimp, squid and scallops and veggies ) and had to try a dessert; so we picked a Thai pudding over sticky rice that was so good.
