Was in a rush to see a concert at the Kings Center. Looked to our left and saw Thai Koji in a nice little strip of stores. Took a shot and went in. Upon entering we were greeted by a very pleasant waiter. The place was very clean and tables were spaced out. Everyone that was eating there seem to be enjoying their food and having a good time. Our waiter was fantastic, very accommodating. I ordered the pad Thai, and it was absolutely delicious. Chicken was very tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was A1. My wife said all her vegetables were very fresh as well as the chicken very tender. She truly enjoyed her dish as did I. We will definitely be back. Thai Koji, 2330 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4.5 Stars Holy Rainbow Roll, Batman! Yet another Thai/Japanese combo hash house was staring at me from my random name generator. I have to fix this; all I'm getting lately are these places and Tex-Mex joints. This time, I was heading OTB to sample the fares offered at Thai Koji off of N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL. After being seated, handed a menu and assured my server would be right with me, I took a few pictures of the place and got ready to snap some of the menu. When I opened it, much to my surprise, I had committed a deterrational act. In so doing, I uncovered a leader in the Thai/Japanese cohort. As previously mentioned, I have a relative currently residing in Thailand. They have assured me on numerous occasions that two things you never find in a restaurant there are chopsticks and sushi. This place knew that and had two DISTINCT menus: Japanese and Thai, leaving little room for discussion. Am was our waiter for the meal and other waitstaff should take lessons from this man. He was exceptional in every category in which a server can be ranked. Well done, Good Sir! I asked Am for some Chicken Satay, Pad Kra Pow Stir Fry w/minced pork and a Lobster Roll. Sitting back and taking in the chill vibe, I wasn't too long before Am was seen returning with my feastage. I quickly dug in as the fusillade of fabulous fragrances ambushed my olfactory nerves. The Chicken Satay consisted of huge pieces of breast meat skewered, grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious Thai peanut sauce. The cucumber salad served on the side was fresh, crisp and delightful, consisting of freshly sliced and chopped cucumber, tomatoes and red pepper in a delicious dressing of Thai flavors. Next up was the Pork Pad Kra Pow Stir fry and this was also wonderful. The minced pork was tender, the rice was perfectly steamed and the side spring roll was a treat to my taste buds. The complex flavors in the Pad Kra Pow were executed flawlessly and stimulated my palate as only correctly prepared Thai food can. Moving on to the final item to be tasted on this foray into the sea of Thai/Japanese combo places, I direct your attention to the Lobster Roll. First, please take a peek at the picture of said roll. It is certainly a work of art to the discerning eye. With krab inside, fresh tuna on top and a wonderful spicy sauce drizzled to top it off, it looked far better than it tasted. I am fairly sure I got the last Lobster tail in the freezer as it came off slightly freezer-burned. If it weren't for that tiny, albeit important detail, this would have been a 5-star meal. Mom and I checked this place out during the week after I was looking for nearby Thai places with great reviews. Very cute place with excellent service. The owner was very friendly even though there was a language barrier, it didn't impact the service received. 5 stars for service :) We had thai tea, thai fried rice, fresh spring rolls, and pad thai. I called my wife on my way home and we were discussing our dinner options. We have a "go to" Thai restaurant. I jokingly suggested Thai Koji because it seems every time we decide to go there it is closed. We ordered beef fried rice and basil chicken fried rice. It was amazing!! The basil fried rice was fantastic! Thai Koji is our new "go to" for Thsi food!! Although I ordered take out, the service was outstanding. Explained what I wanted and they told me the best way to order it. I'm not sure what happened to the pictures of the food. I'll blame it on the scotch!! Second time visiting this wonderful restaurant. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They made our order perfectly. I asked for extra basil in the spicy fried rice with beef bc I always get spicy basil fried rice at Thai places. This was amazinggggg! So flavorful I love how they don't skimp on the veggies. The papaya was crisp and delish. It was not busy at first but for lunch they definitely had a bit of a rush so be mindful of that. Ambiance is quaint and simple lovely establishment. They are only doing to go orders right now; they say they don't have enough help yet for dining room service. So I ordered the Tom Kha chicken soup, shrimp pad Thai with extra green onion, peanuts & raw bean sprouts on the side & the mango sticky rice with extra coconut cream sauce to go. The soup was great and better than most versions because it has a fair amount of lemongrass in it, which I love and plenty of coconut milk. All the flavors were nicely balanced. I mostly just sipped the liquid part and did not eat the chicken etc in it as their flavors are seeped out into the soup. I was initially disappointed at first sight of the shrimp pad thai because it has a distinct orange color and didn't taste like the classic tamarind sauce version. And there were no ground peanuts on it or lime wedges. I had asked for extra peanuts & found a small side of whole peanuts in the bag. So I went back in and asked for some lime & ground peanuts instead, which was provided. I also asked why the sauce wasn't the traditional tamarind sauce and was told that they use paprika instead, which the use of, I've never heard of before in this dish. But the quality of the dish was nice with large shrimp and the sauce was slightly sweet like a pad thai sauce typically is. The lime, extra cooked green onions, peanuts & container (not shown) of raw bean sprouts (extra $3) really made this dish great; I ate it all! Even though I ate all the soup & pad thai, I also ate all of the mango sticky rice, which was great with an extra side of coconut cream sauce. I was really hungry since I hadn't eaten all day! I would reorder all 3 items again. I have never had their sushi, but don't think this would be the right type of sushi restaurant for me since they evidently don't ever have the fatty part of salmon or yellowtail, which is part of what I always want. I always go to Umami for sushi because they usually have this & more upscale specialty types of fish & Japanese dishes. I would return here for thai dishes though and try their curry dishes etc.. read more

So stopped by here for lunch today. We were promptly seated and our drink order taken. It took a while to get our Thai iced teas but they were tasty. I ordered the Thai bento box with a green salad. She delivered a miso soup, so I guess I dont get tge salad I ordered. When I brought it to her attention she either didnt understand or didnt care. Who knows???? My bento box came in a reasonable amount of time. The pad thia was good. The sushi pieces too were good. The California roll was good. Nothing bad to say about the food except compared to every other sushi place in the area my experience was pretty, well, average. I didn't taste anything spectacular or new. Yelp stalked this place as a change of pace. Very pleased with the experience. Of course,​ the Tom Kha soup was delicious​ and not too spicy. We ordered up a Volcano roll, a spider hand roll, ​and some Pad Thai. All came out properly timed and the portions were pretty good. The experience was top notch as our waitress Ann from Bangkok made it. The actual storefront is hard to spot and we almost missed it. It is not a large place but the booths were comfy and there is a bar to sit at if you want. The waiter we had was great given the circumstances. This is under new ownership then what a majority of the menu pictures on yelp show so go online and see the menu. We were given two menus. One was from the previous ownership ( had the better sushi) and so they can't really make anything so I'm not sure why they even offer it. Starting with a wonderful "healthy roll" (salmon, tuna, escolar, avocado, wrapped in soy paper and served with a tangy, tart dipping sauce).
