Thai Koji, 2330 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935 4.5 Stars Holy Rainbow Roll, Batman! Yet another Thai/Japanese combo hash house was staring at me from my random name generator. I have to fix this; all I'm getting lately are these places and Tex-Mex joints. This time, I was heading OTB to sample the fares offered at Thai Koji off of N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne, FL. After being seated, handed a menu and assured my server would be right with me, I took a few pictures of the place and got ready to snap some of the menu. When I opened it, much to my surprise, I had committed a deterrational act. In so doing, I uncovered a leader in the Thai/Japanese cohort. As previously mentioned, I have a relative currently residing in Thailand. They have assured me on numerous occasions that two things you never find in a restaurant there are chopsticks and sushi. This place knew that and had two DISTINCT menus: Japanese and Thai, leaving little room for discussion. Am was our waiter for the meal and other waitstaff should take lessons from this man. He was exceptional in every category in which a server can be ranked. Well done, Good Sir! I asked Am for some Chicken Satay, Pad Kra Pow Stir Fry w/minced pork and a Lobster Roll. Sitting back and taking in the chill vibe, I wasn't too long before Am was seen returning with my feastage. I quickly dug in as the fusillade of fabulous fragrances ambushed my olfactory nerves. The Chicken Satay consisted of huge pieces of breast meat skewered, grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious Thai peanut sauce. The cucumber salad served on the side was fresh, crisp and delightful, consisting of freshly sliced and chopped cucumber, tomatoes and red pepper in a delicious dressing of Thai flavors. Next up was the Pork Pad Kra Pow Stir fry and this was also wonderful. The minced pork was tender, the rice was perfectly steamed and the side spring roll was a treat to my taste buds. The complex flavors in the Pad Kra Pow were executed flawlessly and stimulated my palate as only correctly prepared Thai food can. Moving on to the final item to be tasted on this foray into the sea of Thai/Japanese combo places, I direct your attention to the Lobster Roll. First, please take a peek at the picture of said roll. It is certainly a work of art to the discerning eye. With krab inside, fresh tuna on top and a wonderful spicy sauce drizzled to top it off, it looked far better than it tasted. I am fairly sure I got the last Lobster tail in the freezer as it came off slightly freezer-burned. If it weren't for that tiny, albeit important detail, this would have been a 5-star meal. The Big Boy says, "In a pool with a myriad of choices for Thai/Japanese places to dine, make a point to visit this one."

Mom and I checked this place out during the week after I was looking for nearby Thai places with great reviews. Very cute place with excellent service. The owner was very friendly even though there was a language barrier, it didn't impact the service received. 5 stars for service :) We had thai tea, thai fried rice, fresh spring rolls, and pad thai. Everything was pretty good~ just not 5 star worthy in my opinion. Tough critic I suppose! Definitely worth checking out though.

Stopped in on a whim and did not regret it. We walked in and could sit anywhere we liked. The waiter came right over to take our order. We had a party of five. The fried food was crispy and not oily. The hand rolls were done well.Loved the layout of the tables as you don't feel cramped.

Lobster Roll, Sea of Love Roll, plus!

Introduced to Thai Koji in a booth at the Thai Temple. Loved it, so we went to the restaurant. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Super tasty sushi! Highly recommended.

I went on Yelp and saw Chez Quan's only five minutes away from where we were located. All the reviews were great! So we decided to go. It was just a little tiny place in a strip center. The food was amazing! I had a feeling it was going to be good because all of the reviews. My husband ordered the "Philly Philly Cheese Y'all". It wasn't your usual Philly Cheesesteak. I would say it probably had a little Puerto Rican/Thai flair. It was delicious! I had the "Sawadeezle" which also was very good. I enjoyed trying something new.

What I will say is that the food quality and portions are getting weaker as time goes by. I get we are facing harder times with food prices, but the prices have went up 50% and the portions has decreased at the same time. When I spend $17 on a a plate I can't even get full anymore. Pictured is a $15 plate with maybe 6 shreds of chicken? Used to come with green and yellow zucchini. The chicken used to be cooked with the seasoning. Not just cooked and then a dash of it on top. The bottom of the rice, soaking wet and soggy from the juices that used to be Drained properly. If I get a sour bowl the rice is almost non existent and the meat portions are severely decreased. I remember when I would have to save some of my plate. Now I spend $17 plus $3 tip and for $20 I can't even have a meal that gets me full. It's just sad because the workers and owners are so awesome! The first few years were the absolute best. I'd say since 2020-2022ish it started getting less and less quality and less food portions plus massive price increase. I hope they see this message and go back to the old portions because the prices are already up. Idc if I pay $20 for a meal. Just want to get full from it like the old days. Most Asian places ALWAYS load your plate. The mall, panda, Chinese food, Siam orchid, etc they give you heavy portions for even less money. Wondering why chez quans has to cheap out .

Well, now, I want to cry…read more I can't believe I've lived in this area for 8 years and this is my first visit. The host was super friendly and warm! Greeted us immediately even though she was just coming off helping someone else and she sat us in a booth as requested with no issues. Just two of us, so I wasn't sure if it would be an issue. It wasn't! This place is AWESOME inside! Beautiful and creative themed murals all over the walls. Totally set the vibe as a casual and ultra cool spot. Our server was friendly without being obtrusive. Definitely gave us our space but made eye contact from across the room in case we need anything. We started with the Sushi Mori A, which we thought was going to have a roll and 10 pieces. We asked if we needed to pick and the server started listing what it comes with. So many amazing selections so we happily said yes! Well take whatever it comes with. Wow! It actually arrived with closer to 18-20 pieces (and yes we checked the price at the end and we paid for what we ordered as expected). We were absolutely floored by the variety and quality. Everything was fresh. Texture spot on. Nothing slimy. Nothing grey. Nothing fishy. Just pure, clean, water/ocean tasting pieces. All expertly assembled, nothing was sloppy. Hubs, who is mid on sushi, was so satisfied, so happy, he's legit excited about coming back for this boat, other boats, and bringing friends to show off the quality. Were we done? No. Bc this IS a Thai restaurant we had to try specifically Thai food. He'd never had any, so he wasn't sure what to expect. Ordered Beef Cashew Nut and he LOVED it. He first commented that he forgot to order fried rice instead of white, but as soon as he started eating noted it didn't need fried rice. There was so much flavor in the dish it would have been unnecessary. I ordered Beef Chili Paste. I was worried about the spice so went with mild. Next time I would definitely go medium bc I wanted a tad more heat. But the flavors in the dish were so good! Savory, probably oyster and soy sauce on top of chili paste. It was beyond my expectations. We had the Singha Thai beer and some cold Junmai sake. Both were excellent. The Singha tastes light, even though it's just a regular lager. Sake was not too sweet but still smooth and easy to drink. All in all, sushi boat, three beers, one sake, and two entrees was under $100. An amazing deal for the exceptional quality and variety of choices and service. We had just visited an exclusively Japanese restaurant the day before and thought we wouldn't really be into the sushi as a Thai restaurant. Boy were we mistaken! This place took the prize and I would declare it the best sushi and Thai in town by a mile! Absolutely obsessed with returning asap.

The dragon roll was very good. Especially the richness of the avocado on top. A real hit for me. Pad Thai was well seasoned and the nigiri that came in the bento was pretty good. Tuna was a little "fishy" tasting but all the rest was melt in your mouth. The interior is typical Thai restaurant decor. Table was clean and the staff was diligent in clearing tables to get everyone a table.

I would go to Thai dishes at any Thai restaurant or Massa man in Penang. We weren't extremely hungry so our table of six ordered one kids teriyaki, two Massaman with chicken and white rice, and one order of Krab Rangoon's. I didn't try the chicken teriyaki but my girls (5 and 6) shared one kids meal and they ate all of it. So I feel that's a great indication it was good. The Krab Rangoons were oddly very fishy and very stringy. I'm used to them being not fishy, and having more of a mushy texture. The peculiar fishy taste threw me off. Yes it's fish, but the fishy taste is not usual. We didn't finish these. The Massaman was 5 stars. It wasn't watered down, and it had the nutty flavor we expect from Massaman. Two bowls were easily shared between 4 adults. The sodas are canned so just know this when ordering. I can't recall if the menus shows this. The restaurant could use a deep clean- the bathroom vents were quite dusty (the kids noticed this, I don't usually stare at vents ) which to me usually means the entire restaurant needs a bit more love and attention. Nothing was so bad though that I'd feel unsafe yo eat here just a bit more care. The service was fine. Nothing superb, nothing bad. The servers did their job and that was it.
